Liverpool Thread

Re: Liverpool Thread

Kerzhakov did not succeed in Sevilla, but does this proves that he would be a bad signing?
I don't think so.
He's playing at Zenith and doing quite good...

I know. I wouldn't bring him up if he wasn't playing well at the moment. Still, russian league and primiership are no comparison. just watch how chelsea crashed spartak mowscow in the Cl this weak, and when i say watch i mean the whole match and not 2 mins of highlights where it looks like the russians played quite well.

Re: Liverpool Thread

your bold text emphasis is totally misplaced.

just wait and see how torres goes to manu, as liverpool fan it'll break your heart but that's how business goes, torres has too high salary for pool in current condition, he's not dedicated to the club like gerard and will go.

john w henry said that he won't spend much, it's no arab money like mancity but he did say that if it's necessary there will be up to 60mil available for the winter transfers (compared to mancity standards 60mil ain't much).

my friend i will wait but for shure my heart wont be broken, i support the club, not one player..My heart was broken when i saw Owen go away, who did in his career more than Torres for the club, then second time it was broken to see him wearing United shirt, becouse he was the idol of my childhood, and reason i started following football and supporting LFC.

If Torres goes to any club, i will wish him good luck.. except when he playes against us ;) But if you think racionally, with Liverpool staying in premier league, with new healthy owners and ambitions...with Torres having 3 more years on his contract with us...did you see the owners sell him to United? if he will go, or want to go there, it is diferent thing, but it all depends what the board will deciede..remember he has a contract and is the most followed player of the team, most shirt-selling player, and hopefully soon back goalscoring again..

Re: Liverpool Thread

And now Hodgson is saying that he is here for the long haul and never thought and never will about quiting. Honestly, I didnt expect him to. A mediocre manager like him would have never had the oportunity to be in a club like Liverpool, if it wasnt for Purlsow. He knows that he will never have an opportunity like this again so he is going to hold on tu us and drag us down til he's fired (the Premier League 's song was never so satisfying)

Re: Liverpool Thread

do you think the new owners will give him more time if we dont win against blackburn? i dont belive they will.. shurely they dont know football to much yet but...they know how we stand in table if they look at it..

Re: Liverpool Thread

Many Liverpool Fans website are saying the same thing...

I find it interesting that Roy keeps hinting to NESV that they
should not sack him...and that they should support him and give him
a chance...
He says he is a fighter....yup....fighting to hold on to this job
because he knows he will never get such a big club to manage ever again.

When Houller came in, when Rafa came in during their first season...
I don't remember the fans clamouring for their sacking.....
I mean when was the last time the Kop turned against their own manager??

Roy is either blind that he cannot see the fans wanting him sacked..
or he is just hanging on till the owners sack him.
He will never resign...because that would mean losing money....

I think once the new CEO comes in....hopefully they will decide
which new manager to hire.
I just hope they do this soon... before Torres and Reina give up
and leave.

Re: Liverpool Thread

Some fans didn't want him before he even started working, now he's just the scapegoat.

Re: Liverpool Thread

they did not want him for good reason....
why replace Rafa with someone who has not won
anything of note in any of the top leagues.

And the evidence is there....
a team that was in a shout for a top 4 spot a season ago
....now in the bottom 3.

How can any good manager make such a mess...
He cannot motivate anyone there....then why keep him

Re: Liverpool Thread

So let me just get things straight in my head here....

mathewsss, you are not a fan of royston hogdson, correct?

Re: Liverpool Thread

I think like most everyone was hopeful for Roy ,but wasn`t certain and each games convinces them  My question is What is Sam Lee doing? ...surely he can advice Roy into some direction .

Re: Liverpool Thread

Hodgson is really deluded....first he blames Benitez for the bad situation
handed to him....then he thinks he is the best man to fix the situation....
as if Rafa had given him a relegation threatened team....

Then says NESV supports him...
then says he hopes they show patience..
initially saying "it would be sad day for football if I got sacked"

“They [NESV] think I have inherited a really bad situation and they think I am the man to put it right,” he said. “I also believe I am the right man to put it right.

“I have been here three and a half months and I haven’t become someone who has lost all confidence in themselves in that time. The new owners know what the club need. They realise that I am as good as any man to do the job, because they are aware of what brought me into the job in the first place.

“I hope that they show the necessary patience, tolerance and backing to help us get out of it.

Re: Liverpool Thread

See that quote is what annoys me the most and reminds of Fat Sam. All the English managers can talk a good game but they never seem to be able to back it up on the pitch.

Stop talking about how good you are and get the team to play some football!!

The more quotes I read the more he is pissing me off.

Re: Liverpool Thread

Sammy Lee is part of the problem, IMO. Didn't he start as assistant coach last season? The one where we dramatically fell from 2nd to 7th and everyone was injured all the time?

Re: Liverpool Thread

Now Gerrard and Carra are coming out telling the other players
to back Hodgson....

Why are all the Brits falling over to support one another
inspite of how crap they are ?

Amazing....was it these guys who were happy to see Rafa go ?

Re: Liverpool Thread

i'd love to know what they're feeding them...

Re: Liverpool Thread

Seems like training a bunch of schoolboys........

no wonder this only works with smaller teams...

I can't imagine Torres saying "ok boss...I will sit on that ball"

Hodgson has nothing to do with that, it's Peter Brukner who does all the fitness training with his "sports science" team.

Also, tbf most of them seem to enjoy it

Although it's no wonder we're playing so shit if they're the balls they're using in training

Re: Liverpool Thread

fair enough then....

Is it what Rafa was talking about the changes in
everything...the "sport science"....the new manager...the new lawyer...

the "milk" :-)

Purslow really changed everything......and the effects are there
atleast on the pitch....new manager...new signings.....worse crap than last year.

I see that NESV have 2 new directors on Board....both with no footballing background..
hope the new CEO is someone who has experience with the game...
We really need a new Director of Football.....whose first job is to get a new manager

At last the media is turning against Hodgson....removing their rose tinted
glasses....

Re: Liverpool Thread

More Hodgson insanity:

"Jamie is a centre back and that is where I think he should be playing. I don't like having to move him to full-back but it would be wrong to put young Kelly into the team and leave someone like Kyrgiakos or Skrtel out. We need the experience."

So much for everyone getting their chance. Why play an out-of-form player out of position when we have one of the best defensive prospects in the country on stand-by?

Re: Liverpool Thread

they seem to be happy as if we were right there at the top of table...bunch of money grabers...

hope we win tomorow...hope we do more things in training than this...

Re: Liverpool Thread

Brilliant, that's Kelly off out of the club then. For fucks sake, he needs to keep his mouth shut!

So much for "steadying the ship", he's sinking us!

Re: Liverpool Thread

Player unrest which I thought were rumours seems to be gathering
steam.....

Hodgson....how have you managed to mess this one up ?
Alienating all the good players.....with your outdated tactics...
the negative football......lousy signings.....horrendous press
conferences..........

God...please help NESV put an end to this misery !!

Re: Liverpool Thread

History repeating itself with Hodgson...

see what happened at Blackburn !!

"I think we got rid of him too early," reflected Kevin Gallacher, who led Blackburn's attack under Hodgson. "He fell out with a couple of players and that didn't help but everyone falls out with people in football because it is such a tense environment. And at that stage there were injuries, there were fallings-out and there were calls to get rid of the manager because the players didn't understand his way of working."

http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...el-when-he-was-roy-of-the-rovers-2115038.html

I think for us....it is not too early....we need a new manager.

Re: Liverpool Thread

http://www.clickliverpool.com/sport...roy-hodgson-lashes-out-at-frank-rijkaard.html

Now Roy is having a pop at Rijkaard. Seriously, does this man have any class at all? I thought the media loved him because he was this perfect gentleman but this is far from that!

The thing is....if he was successful with Liverpool....then no one
would be calling for his sacking....there would be no rumours
of Rijkaard or Pellegrini....
there would be no rumours of his resignation...

Hodgson just ignores his utter failure at Liverpool as the reason
for all these rumours....which I hope are not just rumours...
that he will be replaced.

He has shown he has no class....he makes Rafa's bad interviews
look good.
