and yeah i certainly understand roy hasn't given u guys much reason to support him, but to be honest i don't think capello himself could have done much better, given the situation.
as for the "roy not been the best man for the job" point, i don't think there's really much to talk about, as when u have to replace a coach u have to deal with what the market offers u in that moment.
liverpool certainly deserves a top class coach, but there weren't top class coaches available this summer, and roy was definitely the most reasonable pick.
i know u guys probably consider roy a complete ignorant in tactics right now..... but his entire carreer (bar this first liverpool matches) proves otherwise.
anyhow i really hope this ownership issue will be sorted out as soon as possible. hopefully with a new steady ownership, it will be easier for roy to work with his players. good luck guys

@ Ben,
Yeah I think it was still the best decision to have him. Mostly because I'm pretty sure new owners will be getting someone else in next summer. As long as we can manage a EL place by the seasons end it will be a succesfull season imo. And that's only to be able to offer euro football for potential signings.

And there's a chance Hicks could win and then sell to Lim or whoever makes the highest offer. From the summaries his case doesn't sound as desperate and stupid as I was expecting.

Even if he wins, he still needs to find the money to pay RBS. If he does win, I fully expect RBS to call the debt in and put us in administration where they'd sell to NESV anyway.

But if all Hicks wants is the best offer then there is little negotiating to do and Mills or Lim can pay RBS straight away. They just want their money, they dont care who pays it.

RBS has already stated that it favours the NESV bid, it said the same in court today I believe.

Yeah but 'favours' doesn't mean they will outright reject any other bid and automatically place the club in administration if Hicks wins.

Hicks's arguments were:
1. He and Gillett were exluded from the sales process and didn't know anything about the meeting.
This was proven to be a lie in court as there was correspondence between the board and the owners about the meeting and Hicks's personal lawyer was on the phone throughout the meeting.
2. There were better offers on the table than the NESV bid and the board didn't consider them properly.
This was also proven to be lies as they proved in court today that the Meriton bid was significantly less than the NESV bid and Mill Financial wanted exclusivity which was prohibited by the agreement with RBS. Therefore the board accepted the best bid.
3. He claimed the 3 independent board members referred to themselves as the "Home Team" and claimed their sub-committee was in breach of contract by agreeing the sale without the owners presence or knowledge.
This was also proven to be lies by the fact that they knew all about the meeting and listened in, also by law if the board has a majority they can continue with a vote regardless of the presense of shareholders. If they were present the vote would have been 3-2, they abstained from voting which left it at 3-0 so the sale was approved. Also the "home team" thing was in reference to the phone line used to conduct negotiations with bidders.
Update: Dan Roan just said on twitter that the verdict will now be at 10am and not 10:30am.

Amidst all this....one thing that strikes me is ...why is RBS and Broughton so adamant about the NESV bid ?...
it seems to be this is favored by RBS for some reason, and hence Broughton
and the board want that one....
G&H want more money....so they want the other bids....
The Singaporean guy will give more money...but has no talk of the stadium..
Since it is not clear about NESV's funds...and whether they will add

Just hope this nightmare gets over....and we can just focus on the pitch...

Meriton/Lim haven't got the funds to build the stadium (he's worth £1bn, take away the £360m to buy the club, £40m transfer funds and that leaves £600m, the stadium will cost around £400m leaving him with £200m in the bank. I really can't see that working out), Mill Financial are a hedge fund and should therefore be avoided at all costs plus they have close links with Hicks so it's possible he'd remain on the board, then there's the NESV bid, with 17 major investors, a background of sporting success and a background of developing and building new stadia. Clearly that's the best one.
