NESV will hopefully be good for LFC....
I like the fact that he says their actions will be louder than words.
As far as Hodgson....he needs to go....he is not a winner...
his mid-table mentality shines in every press-conference...
Hopefully with NESV being all about winning.....they will
get winners at the manager and player level...
But he is a mediocre player that never proved anything when he was here, all the polls in the official site were manipulated and he would have never coped with Premier League ´s exigencys.Another great first half from a Hodgson Liverpool team, and all to be expected as well.
In other news, Aquilani just scored for Juventus.
HANG ON! WTF! Hodgson had a HUGE grin on his face when walking to shake hands with the Everton staff!!!!
'Difficult game to win. The team played well. We suffered at the hands of an early onslaught. We dominated the second half totally.'
'As good as I have seen us play this season...Excellent game of football.'
'Sterling effort from the players to produce that second half performance.'
'30 games to go, 90 points to play for. I wouldn't rule out top four.'
'I didn't see a lack of confidence. The second half was good as I have seen Liverpool play under my management.'
'The result was very, very bad but I am refusing to accept it was a bad team performance.'
'I refuse to sit here & accept that we were outplayed or in any way inferior.'
'We've lost 5 out of 8. Is it 5? Or is it 4? (prompted by the interviewer) It's 4'
Great play Coleman.
Oh dear.
If this happened in my club Benfica, there would be a civil war already. Your coach must be sacked ASAP!
Hodgson, predictably, says that we played well.
Seriously, he's deluded.
The problem is that Hodgson not only took us in the pitch backwards but also every single change he made in the squad was negative. We have a worst squad than the one we had before his arrival. When Hodgson is gone, we are going to have to stick with Carragher and Poulsen that are on megawages for the next three years thanks to him. Not to mention Konchesky. Well at least thanks to him and Hodgson highways are back at Anfield, but now at the fullbacks.Either he is deluded....or he is not saying anything negative now...knowing that he could get the sack.
The thing is .... I applaud the Board in the financial decisions...
getting NESV and all that....
But in the footballing decisions....they have failed....
Signing Hodgson...who has managed Fulham, Finland, UAE, Copenhagen, Udinese, Viking...
in the last 10 years......sums it up for me...mid-table at best..
One good season at a mid-table team ..and he got the LMA award...
typical British hype....they will pump up any British manager...
And Rafa...had MANY GOOD SEASONS and ONE BAD SEASON....and they were hounding him ...
I can't see anything apart from MAJOR SWEEPING changes that will help us improve
- Replace Hodgson with Dalglish OR a TOP SUCCESSFUL manager if available
- Sign players who are skilful....not square pegs in round holes
- Sell players who are not interested in staying here
Mohammed al-fayed on Hodgson...
"We gave him all the support, we believed in him and he let us down. It's no problem because Mark is much better. He's better looking too.
"Roy disappointed the fans, he disappointed the players, he was just a bugger.
"I did everything for him, to help him. But that's his character. He can't help it. I forgive him, anyhow and I'm sure he's going to take Liverpool downhill."
