Liverpool Thread

Re: Liverpool Thread

Thing is we've got a similar problem with Berba (obviously some will say he hasn't performed anyway) that he won't play the big games as its a necessity to go with 4-3-3 know and Rooney is undroppable. the chances of teams having 2 world class forwards or at least very good ones is not likely unless ones agile and good enough to play the flanks.

Re: Liverpool Thread

This is the worst refereeing performance I've seen in my life. How the hell has Fellaini not been sent off, or at least booked? How did Kuyt not get a penalty when Baines had his arm wrapped in the area? If Kyrgiakos is a sending off, why wasn't Pienaar's disgusting knee "tackle" punished for the same reason?

Fucking joke of a ref!

Edit: Cahill stops Gerrard on the edge of the area, EXACTLY the same as Kuyt did earlier. No booking for Cahill though. Fucks sake. And Kyrgiakos needs stitches from the incident with Fellaini, no punishment for Fellaini though. Unbelievable.

FUCKING GET IN! Really pleased with our performance, especially when we went down to ten men. I wonder what the Everton fans' excuse will be, they can hardly blame the ref helping us!

Re: Liverpool Thread

Very well, turning out to be a superb purchase. A rock at the back who's great in the air and very reliable. Looks like a good replacement for Sami :)

Re: Liverpool Thread

If that's the case, then why do I remember people being "disgusted" when the transfer was made? It's a perfect example that even if a player comes from a league of a lower standart, he is not useless.

Not sure people were "disgusted" but we were expecting to sign younger players like Shawcross etc to step in.

I thought fans were happy enough with Kyrgiakos' signing in general though?

Re: Liverpool Thread

I actually remember reading at Liverpool forums people saying it is a panic buy and things like these. Anyway, it's good he performs well, as it's important for the World Cup

Re: Liverpool Thread

Chamakh has stated he wants to sign for Arsenal, that would make me give him a miss then. Would rather not sign someone who doesn't really want to play for your club as a first choice.

Re: Liverpool Thread

Well it was a panic buy with all our defenders out. He's been great against the physical teams though, he might not be as good as Sami with the ball but he has been excellent stopping the opposition. Don't think it will be a big loss against Arsenal though, who are they gonna hit a high ball at?!

As for today's match; Fuck Off Atkinson!!

What an absolute shocking performance, I wasn't too bothered about the Greek's sending off (it was two footed) but how the hell fellani didn't get sent off, or Pienaar is is a mystery. Or the fact Gerrard got booked for not going off at the Everton players around him.

Not much to say about the actual match, very little football, Everton not good enough to make the play.

Although it's great to see the teams go at it like that!

Nbody was disgusted ffs, where do you wannabe mancs get this shite from?

Anyway, superb performance today, we should start all derby games with 10 men from now on.

Referee was abysmal, Pienaar should have been sent off for his lunge on Mascherano and Fellaini should have been sent off with Kyrgiakos for his horrible fucking stamp.

Once we went down to 10 men they didn't really bother us, Reina wasn't tested it was all easy saves from there on in.

Mascherano, Carragher and Kuyt were all superb today.

Re: Liverpool Thread

So if a Utd fan says Rooney is shit, can we take that as all Utd fans thinking the same? Nice for you to bother going out to find such a comment, and do screengrabs with highlighting. Sounds like you're having a fun weekend then! ;)

Re: Liverpool Thread

just wanted to show you what i meant when i was writing pool's fans were disgusted, and to let ujs see that those "shite" weren't produced from my head.

and it is not only him. check the rest of that thread, and you will see what i mean.

Re: Liverpool Thread

Why is it that Utd fans tend to spend more time in here when Liverpool fans are pleased with a win? It's almost as if they don't like seeing us happy and want to try to bring us down whenever they can

Not sure why Utd fans bother to be honest.

Re: Liverpool Thread

I've seen the today's derby. (BTW... I'm strong, official member of LFC).
The game was great, very hard and tough.
Both teams, us and "these" ***** played hard for the win...
I was hopping Kyrgiakos to play well in his first derby, but he f*cked up in the 33', with an UNTHINKABLE UNPROFESSIONAL tackle and almost cost us the game, as we've played for 1 1/2 half with one player less!
I think, Sotos MUST learn FAIR-PLAY...
This is England, not his Greek village...

Re: Liverpool Thread

Damn you Dags, you should have said he was shit! Atleast the manu/greek fans would have f*&ked off instead of trying to prove some point, which none of us care about anyway. :D

This is England, not his Greek village...

Indeed, now to get the point across that this is England and not some Belgium shithole with delicious chocolates and Fellani might do the same :P

Re: Liverpool Thread

Indeed, m8 ("TikTikTikTikTik")...
This is England... and by the way... THIS IS ANFIELD, you c*nts (generally speaking)!
I don't know if Kyrgiakos CAN be a trully "Red", but at least he MUST LEARN from Carra & Stevie G., to play PROFESSIONAL and with respect to the opponents, even if we talkin' about THESE BLUE FITHFULL C*NTS, living nearby us!
Sotiris... STRENGTH, RESPECT & HONOR! That's the England way!
Start LEARNING, if you want to stay in Anfield - and playing IN the pitch, instead of sitting on the bench!

Re: Liverpool Thread

I'm not being too hard on Kyrgiakos to be honest. It was a bad mistake and a sending off but I guess he got carried away with the occasion and he'll learn from it. After he's played as well as he has lately, I'm happy to cut him some slack.

Re: Liverpool Thread

Anyway... once again, our "total-tool" Dirk made it!
And some people are talkin' about sell the lad, to earn cash, for pity sakes!!!

M8, I know the man! He's hard, he's tough, he's playing strongly... but ALSO, "dirty"!
Everybody in Greece knows about that! And EVERYBODY in Greece, Liver-m8s or not, got shocked when they heard LFC bought him!
I'm not saying he's not worth to play in LFC; I'm saying he's NOT PROFESSIONAL enough - as... Greek he is, naturally!
The ONLY GOOD professional Greek played in EPL, was Dabizas in the "Toon" and Stelios (Giannakopoulos) with Bolton.
Both o' them, totally professionals.

Re: Liverpool Thread

Off-topic, lads.
Does anybody knows, how to remove the bl*ody "X" in the game (when the ball is on the air and the "X" marks the spot where to fall)?

EDIT: Found it, no worries.

The thing about it is, after watching it again on match of the day i'm inclined to agree with Lee Dixon, Kyrgiakos shouldn't have been sent off. His right foot which was the only one near to Fellaini was on the ground and won the ball, Fellaini went over the ball and stamped on Soto's leg/ankle and should have been sent off, Soto went for the ball and won it, Tito Jackson was nowhere near it and only went in to hit the man.
