infact Liverpool have had more decisions go their way (whether they were legit or not is irrelevant).
The red cards as well as penalty count show that infact Liverpool have had more decisions go their way (whether they were legit or not is irrelevant).
We'll get Barry, Johnson, Silva, and a striker.
There you go.
Liverpool youngster Christopher Buchtmann named in UEFA’s 10 stars of the future
May 20 2009
Liverpool Daily Post
LIVERPOOL youngster Christopher Buchtmann has been named by UEFA as ‘one of their top 10 stars of the future’.
The German, who can play at left-back or in midfield, is 17 and this week has helped his country’s under-17s side to win the European U17 Championship.
Buchtmann played a key role in the German’s success which culminated in Monday’s 2-1 extra-time win over Holland.
Buchtmann has impressed for Liverpool this season and is a key part of the squad preparing for Friday’s FA Youth Cup final first leg with Arsenal at the Emirates.
The official UEFA list is as follows: Patrick ter Mate (Netherlands) – Vitesse/AGOVV Academy Cutodian, Janick Kamber (Switzerland) – FC Basel 1893, Marc Muniesa (Spain) – FC Barcelona, Dennis Appiah (France) – AS Monaco, Marco Fossati (Italy) – FC Internazionale, Deniz Herber (Turkey) – FC St Pauli, Christopher Buchtmann (Germany) – Liverpool, Jack Wilshere (England) - Arsenal, Lennart Thy (Germany) – Werder Bremen, Luc Castaignos (Netherlands) – Feyenoord.
I would get in a right back. Sorry for Arbeloa just doesn't cut the mustard at the level required, he's a great backup/utillity player, but we need someone who is more adventereous going forward, just look at the difference when Chelsea attack down their right. Boswinga's crossing is sublime most of the time, Arbeloa often stops when it a good crossing position and passes it to Kuyt and the ball simply gets pushed out to the left instead where do have people who can cross..
Guillem Balague;
Valencia are willing – they have to – sell the player and will want things sorted quickly, so they will probably be happy to do business with the first club to put an acceptable offer on the table. At this moment in time, neither Barcelona nor Real Madrid have made a move for Silva – and if it ends up as a straight fight between Juventus or Liverpool, the player would prefer a move to Anfield.
That does not mean David Silva is definitely on his way to Liverpool, but it does mean that there has perhaps never been a better time to try and secure the services of one of the most talented attacking midfielders in Europe. However, Rafa Benitez is going to have to play his cards cleverly as, following the initial contact, Valencia have been told that before Liverpool make a second approach, Benitez will have to offload a couple of players first.
