That is good news in regards to Torres. I wouldn't want him to miss the whole season as some reports were suggesting. We need the big players involved in the premiership to keep it entertaining.
So do you supporters think Liverpool will do this season? I must say I predicted aeons of this situation happening with the owners all when I was targeted and abused when you were getting all giddy over Americans taking charge believe they would turn you into another Chelsea and pay for everything including providing jobs where you wouldnt have to work. Along with providing a new stadium. Then as soon as the truth of their intentions were found all the liverpool supporters turned against them. It was amusing witnessing all unfold, but the burning of their flag was a bit tasteless and crass for my likely. Put the whole of England to shame that day when a group of locals decided to protest outside the gates of anfield for getting rid of Rafa.
I even tried to open the eyes of a few deluded bunch who believed Benitez was one of the best managers even though he was ruining the club from top to bottom.
What are your opinions of him now?
Apologises as obviously this is overdue. However I havnt had the opportunity to discuss these issues on here, so I am interested in opinions.
Thanks
Who the f#$k let you back in?!
devastated.....does he want a lift to the airport?
Someone on here listed him as one of Rafa's good signings a few months back when I said his transfer record was poor.
Personally I think the following have been good signings:
Luis Garcia
Sissoko
Crouch
Agger
Bellamy
El Zhar
Arbeloa
Nemeth
Leto (Disappointed he didn't get a work permit)
Benayoun
Insua (1.5m!)
Ngog
Kyrgiakos
That's obviously not including the players already mentioned. I'd think a fair number of that list are players that people didn't know before they joined Liverpool.
After initial talks with the Reds money men, Hodgson is said to have been told money is tight and he should not expect to receive the £40million transfer war-chest that has been reported in the media recently.
The former Fulham boss has already identified his strikers as an area of concern, with few options behind injury-prone star man Fernando Torres.
Apart from the largely underwheming David Ngog and new signing Milan Jovanovic, the Reds have only a few youngsters on their books with little or no first-team experience.

As a result, Hodgson is hoping to bring in an experienced head who can add something different in attack - and believes Beattie fits the bill.
The powerful target man, 32, played under Hodgson at Blackburn Rovers in the late 1990s after coming through the club's youth system.
And Hodgson highly rates the player, believing he will also represent value for money this summer because of his age and his well-publicised bust-up with Stoke City manager Tony Pulis last season.
Beattie is not seen as a long-term option, but the new Reds manager is thought to be prepared to risk the ire of the Anfield faithful by signing a player he believes will have an instant impact on the squad.
The Potters are thought to be keen to cash in on the striker, especially after reports Pulis has left the £3million signing out of his side's pre-season tour of Austria.
Seems like the reasons for a few of the reserve players leaving are due to the homegrown rule coming in. Quite a few will be classed as overseas players and would take up a slot rather than class as homegrown due to them not being at the club long enough.
Duran and Brouwer would be classed as "older" overseas players and take up slots, Ngog is classed as a youngster this season but next season would take up a foreign slot.
Going to be a lot of chopping and changing in the Prem I reckon, especially at clubs like Liverpool where a lot of the reserves are foreign.
Incidently, I think it's a bit silly for any United fan to laugh at Liverpool's state at the moment, they'll be in the same situation as us soon if not worse due to the amount of debt. Most Utd fans understand our situation and can see that Utd aren't exactly secure either. Some people might be laughing on the other side of their faces soon enough.
Just sayin'.
The deal means the Premier League club will be able to pay off nearly all their outstanding debts of £509m.
They will face an annual interest bill of £45m a year on the bonds.
The sale comes after figures showed debts at the club's parent firm, Red Football Joint Venture, rose to £716.5m ($1.17bn) in the year to June 2009.
Pounds and dollars
The bond was sold in two tranches, one of £250m with a coupon rate - or interest rate - to bond holders of 8.75%, and another tranche of $425m with a coupon rate of 8.375%.
However, unlike the debt at present secured against the club, the seven-year bonds will not mature until 1 February 2017.
The annual interest bill on the bonds is close to the £41.2m in interest paid in the last financial year

It’s extraordinarily rich(excuse the irony) to compare Liverpool’s situation to United’s, It really is sheer fallacy and ignorance of the highest order. The difference is similar to comparing a wounded broken and battered dog, which is cowered and lost into the pits and depths of despair - To a lion maturing into it's prime, to that of a king standing proud and ready to take dominion over it's territory.
I stopped reading there, I'm not interested in reading pretentious shite from a WUM, thanks.
What is your 25 man squad then looking like right know with 8 homegrown players.
Personaly I think yall should sell Torres as I got a feeling that his career might be over...its been 2 years now that hes dealing with that thigh injury that never end...he barely played in the world cup and it was enough to get another tight injury and you can see that this injury affected him mentaly has he lost hes speed and touch...I got a feeling that unlucky torres might have to hang the boots...
