Ligue 1

Re: Ligue 1 - 09/10

So happy for Lille on a great run of late, shame it's not on Uk tv, feel I'm missing out, who wouls have thought after 3-4 weeks that by the end of the year Frau and Gervinho would have 8 goals each, go Les Lillois!!!!

Re: Ligue 1 - 09/10

Lol yeah Frau having 8 goals at this point already is quite a nice surprise. Isn't it? :P

But like Thomas said, LOSC are scoring like 4 per match!! lol so those goals gotta from somewhere! :)

Re: Ligue 1 - 09/10

Lille 4 - 0 Saint-Etienne (Frau 33', Cabaye 58' pk, Gervinho 72', Rami 82')
Toulouse 2 - 0 Sochaux (Gignac 49', 51')

Re: Ligue 1 - 09/10

rumour has it, Bordeaux will be selling Fernando M to Genoa this January. Losing quality squad depth like that can definitely hurt your chances when having so many games (CL, Title defense), I hope it's not true and he remains till summer and then goes back to Italy if he wants but it seems talks are at an advanced stage. Not a very smart move by Les Girondins if they lose him halfway through season but let's see how it works out...

Another 3 goals today, Gervinho got another, just had a look and in the league we've had 10 different scorers, 33 goals and 23 of them come from Frau, Gervinho and Cabaye, lets hope they stay fit :P

if one of them gets injured now I apologise to every Lille fan :COAT:

Re: Ligue 1 - 09/10

Bordeux won again, just got to see the last 20 minutes bue they showed some nice football.
Lorent Blanc is making them a proper team without that "many" starts that nowadays every team seems to have.

Lucky Marseille ?
Laurent Blanc says Bordeaux lucky with one point, isn't because PSG don't win you need to be aggressive agaisnt OM.

Relax man! I'am not aggresive at all, i just add this important information for those who haven't seen he game, because when we read what you write it feels like the referee only "helped" Bordeaux. So yes the goal of Bordeaux wasn't available, but don't forget to say that the referee also gave (as a compensation) a red card to Bordeaux.
So in the end 1-1 is lucky (or unlucky) for both, because of those 2 mistakes.

Concerning Paris there is nothing to say, the result 3-1 say it all.

I'm still not agree with you about the compensation, Niang go to the goalkeeper, Planus do this tackle (from the back) with no chance to get the ball, it's "anti-jeu" so the red is normal.

Re: Ligue 1 - 09/10

Hello chaps... want to ask you fellas a quick question.

Julien Faubert is showing some good form for my club West Ham at the moment and he's done well this season.
He's getting back to his best after a very bad injury and some personal issues, including his bad spell at Madrid.

Anyway, what's the general view over in France about him and do you think he has a chance to get back into the national squad?:)))

I don't think he'll play for NT at least till Domenech is there. Raymond was very much against his move away from Bordeaux and Ligue 1 to West Ham and EPL when it happened and said Julien was stupid to do this if he wanted to play for national team. I didn't agree at the time but its actually funny how things have changed since then.
Bordeaux turned into monsters! League champs and one of the best in Europe. West Ham went downhill and isn't without its troubles! And Faubert himself isn't 3/4th the player he used to be after that massive unlucky injury and other personal stuff.

For me though, he was not an 'average' player. In his peak (which doesn't even mean his real peak but the best we've seen him as a footballer so far) which was a couple years ago at Bordeaux where he was one of the better players (at the time), he was excellent. Great at RB and some would say even better as RM because of natural tendency to dart forward. Very speedy! Incredible stamina! Lots of Confidence/Determination/Ambition! and Energy! Powerful shot! I definitely rated him before and remember being excited for West Ham fans like you when they signed him. But since moving away from France, he hasn't had the best of times of course as you know very well yourself thanks mostly to that long-term massive injury he picked up very early on in the transition phase and before he could show his stuff to the fans or team-mates or club that spent money on him. I'm glad to hear he's doing better again and I hope he gets back to his best in the near future. Because he was definitely a quality player in the right state (Confidence makes a huge difference to guys like him!) and exciting to watch as well down that right hand side!

Re: Ligue 1 - 09/10

He plays for an average team who needed to be reinforced at the start of the season.

Kazim is good and before he arrived, Gignac had to do all the work alone.
He can't always score all by himself.

Oh, and I think he's a bit overrated too.
