ASDA are only taking pre orders I asked in there last night.

I got FIFA at midnight in ASDA it was like staring in Dawn of the Dead.

It was a chilling experiance.

I've asked my ASDA a few times and they say "no pre-orders, first come, first served".

Gits.

Maybe yours is bigger? (oo-er). We've got a big ASDA, but its a small town mentality.

Wish they were doing pre-orders.

Our Asda is pretty big but I live in a bit of a rough neighbourhood where people probably can't afford a game nevermind a console :LOL:

Saying that, there's TONS of students here too, a lot of them probably have consoles.

I'll get there for 11:45pm and get them to put a copy away for me while I go around the store picking up some nachos and Friij milkshakes :D

I was thinking more 11:30pm... just to be safe! :LOL:

Madness as (assuming I get it), will get home, maybe have a go for an hour, bed at 1am.

Wake up at 6am and within a couple of hours the game will (hopefully) plop through the door from Game.

All bases covered!

Game.co.uk are cancelling peoples pre-orders.

I have had a pre-order for Grand Theft Auto IV for nearly a month (29th March).

Yesterday I got a email saying that because of the volume of pre-orders for GTA IV, they were going to have to start authorising payment for them now, to give them time to start packing them up ready to be shipped.

Well, this morning I got an email saying:

Quote: We regret to inform you that this order cannot be fulfilled on this occasion.

Although your order has now been cancelled, you are welcome to re-order by visiting game.co.uk. So I check the site and, surprise surprise, they are all out of stock.
So I phone them up, and wait on hold for 10 minutes before giving up. It seems lots of people are phoning up this morning. Hmmm.....

It seems like they take more pre-orders than they can fill and then fob people off with a bogus "failed authorisation" excuse.

Hmmm... I'd say they either dont have the funds at that time, or the card info is wrong that the people entered.

Out of the thousands of pre-orders, this must happen a fair bit.

(happened to me before with ShopTo)

This game seems to have FAR more of a buzz than any other release I've known.

Rockstar are expecting $400m in it's first week. Ridiculous.

5:30am - My alarm will ring to wake me up
5:35am - Fondle the missus' breasts, while she too arises from our pit
5:40am - Take a dump
5:43am - Head in the shower
5:55am - Toast Bread
5:59am - Butter toast, lightly
6:08am - Get my coat

7:00am - Barge through the "cue" and pick up my copy of GTAIV
7:05am - Pay for my game via the aid of my debit card

Either way when you walk into Leeds wearing nothing more than a raincoat people might start to suspect somethings not right!



My monday night is planned out - Order a pizza at around 8pm... eat half of it... try to find something to do to pass the time until 11:45pm... jump in the car.. whizz into widnes... nip into Gamestation grab the game - whizz home... eat the rest of the pizza as the game installs and then try to ignore all the PMs ill be getting from my American friends who will still have a few hours to wait and will be sat looking at my PSN of me playing

underwhelmed!!

I know its crazy after a short, bad quality vid, but still!!!

Was expecting to be blown away by something new - but it looks (from the admitidly short clip) like the old GTAs, just 'HD'd up.

Animation on the cut scenes could be from any GTA and the driving mechanic still seems a bit pants.

Crazy to say I know, just 1st impressions and all that. Still sure its gonna be a monster!!!!

And there is no chance im watching that this close to release when i know hardly anything about the game
