GTA IV - NON-SPOILER THREAD

The one where you kill the boss is boring, it's usually over in a matter of seconds because of SMG v pistol and the map showing where the crooks are.
The other one is pretty good though, it can produce some quality car chases.

Team Deathmatch, GTA Race or Race are my favourites I think, Faggio races are awesome :DD.
 
Have to agree with "the game is a bit meh" comments when youve passed the "wow the city looks great" and all that. Maybe its because Ive only done 25% of the game and have started with the mccready's recently but Im still waiting for it to get interesting tbh. Just seems the same old gta but looking better.

So does the story get interesting?

GTA Race you can get out of the car and do what you want.

Race you have to stay in your original car.
 
Its fake or lies, unfortunately. I tried everything on that page out and none of it is true. Not on the LCPD list, not in the area at any time. Shame! Would have been good to see her in game!
 
Shes on the LCPD list. I found her on it. You have to use TW@T. I Think shes the Yeti like in SA... but she might be a bonus in the exclusive content :D ... i found a chick that was similar but she had no lollipop but mine :(

Ahhh I will try that in a few!! I got the idea as well that she was gonna be like Bigfoot on SA after checking everything.

EDIT: How can you search at TW@T? because when we go to the police site, there's no way of doing it?

I've decided to buy Vice City (Xbox version, compatible with the 360) off eBay so that I don't fear finishing GTA IV too quickly. I finished every GTA to date bar San Andreas (which I just found boring after a while, too many real-life elements incorporated into it) but I never got around to finishing Vice City.

I've been dying to play GTA for ages but I can't bring myself to do it, when I finish the story I'll be absolutely gutted.

I've done about 30% so far, really enjoying it but it is going to take me ages to finish it as I keep getting disracted and just driving around the city and not doing the missions, and when I do decide to do a mission I end up having to have 3/4 goes at it to complete it/
 
:LOL:. I just don't get time to play it! :-pp So whenever I decide to do some single player I mostly get taxis everywhere, which is fine by me :)). I'm at 25% complete currently, so plenty of fun left for me.
 
Same here, don't get the time to play on it that much and when i do i have a urge to play FIFA :(

The car handling, shooting, graphics and animations may seem very average now, but the storyline and voice acting rivals that of GTA IV.
The radio stations and atmosphere of the map are great, plus the map is quite easy to get used to as it isn't multilayered like Liberty City, I still know that map and the shortcuts around it.

You will have fun with it, but the few things missing from the gameplay (like climbing over fences, cover system, car handling etc.) might get annoying, when I tried to play SA a few days ago, it felt terrible.

The SP game is really annoying me now as it gets you to drive to the most Northern point on the map to start a fucking mission, then drive to the most Eastern point of the map to do the fucking mission, then once you have done the fucking mission you have to then drive the cunt of a guy you drove to the fucking mission back to where the fucking mission started.

Yeah it's very annoying, it's similar to when you do a mission, and you drive far away, then you die. So you have to drive all over again.

pisses me right off.

There are some missions where you can't hop in a taxi and get taken to places, in fact most of the later missions you get given a car and have to drive places. Had you played more than 30 minutes of the game in SP you would know that

i have nearly finished it so get you facts right :))

and you said you have to drive to the missions but you dont you can always get a taxi
