Formula1

Great race yesterday.

No HD until 2012, according to Bernie not enough viewers want it.

I'd love to know how he/they did his research.

Hmmm is that down to Mr E? I would have thought it was the Beebs call or whoever has the TV rights at the time or do they just buy the rights to the TV picks?...

Best race of the season I think so far...

"As soon as the broadcasters tell me they want it," he said, "we can do it.

People have been asking the BBC for a while now why it isn't in HD and they say its Bernie's/FOM decision.

Thank God Webber walked away from that.

That was mental! Seemed to me that the guy in front just randomly slowed down though!?

Just highlights the difference in speed between new teams and the established ones. It was pointless for Kovalainen to try and defend vs Webber, though I guess I can't blame him for having a competitive spirit - not that he showed it at Mclaren.

Huge crash, heart in your mouth stuff and apparently he flipped his car in Le mans too, though it's not the famous one, where the guy flew into the trees, think it was off camera as I can't find it on youtube.

(Not Webber video) (33secs in)

Very, very harsh on Alonso.

It was funny when he turned off his radio.

Oh how I laughed when he and Vettel lost their places from the start.

I actually don't mind Vettel, but Red Bull stealing the front wing from Webber's car to put onto Vettel's wasn't fair.

Because of vettel and webber's feud i reckon red bull will hand the championship to the mclarens, gift wrapped.

Truth be told, red bull should have won every race this season so far

'Not bad for a number two driver'

Alonso is a c*nt. Always finding excuses for his failures and blaming the car, the team, FIA, track, meteo, Lewis, Lewis' daddy, Lewis' bro, Lewis' girlfriend, Lewis' dog, bla bla bla.

Why didn't they just say to Massa, 'Ok, Alonso is faster than you, if you want to let him pass now is the time'. Then if he does let him pass, whether it's team orders or not, the FIA can't argue the case because it'll be played out to be Massa's choice.

Or am I being stupid?

Probably because Massa would have said "kiss my ass"... :P

Makes a mockery of the sport...

Well, it'd be no different to Massa than what was actually said to him, it's just a different code for telling him to move over and as there is no rule against a driver choosing to let his team mate pass, the FIA could probably do nothing.

That being said, I'd obviously prefer a good scrap between team-mates for a place.

I think they spelled it out so obvious to him to make sure 'He' knew exactly what he 'Had' to do... To be honest they should have been charged with unsportsmanlike conduct or something and both dropped three places, that would knock it on the head...

They were fined $100,000! What more do you want? A small company like Ferrari will not survive anymore of these fines.

Hamilton is a bit of a cunt as well. I prefer Button or Vettel by far.

Alonso and Hamilton are both spoilt kids that justify anything to win. We've seen several times this year how Hamilton is allowed to do practically everything without real punishment, while Alonso wastes his time moaning and asking everyone in the universe to work for him.

Give us reasons for Hamilton being a cunt

Don't know what races you seen but vettell has been more of a cunt then most. Diddnt you watch the race last Sunday where he tried to to force one of the Ferrari to the side of the track in the first corner? Diddnt you see him do the same at silvestone against webber? What about the collision he had with webber that ended his race ?

It's just part of racing, squeezing a driver out so they have a choice whether to back off a lose a place/not gain one or crash. (They showed Senna doing far worse in the Top Gear documentary even).

The difference with Vettel when he crashed into Webber was 1. It was his team mate. 2. He moved across Webber as they were side by side and Webber had no way to react.

I actually think Vettel is a nice guy, he's just been put into a position by Red Bull where he's been the team favourite, and inevitably the fans will back the underdog in the team i.e. Webber.

Ilegally advancing the safety car in Valencia without any kind of effective punishment, doing an ilegal advancement by cutting a chicane at the start of the season without any kind of punishment and, in case you didn't notice, there were also "team orders" to Button not to advance Hamilton at Silverstone. So to me Hamilton and Alonso are of the same kind.

Vettel is a nice guy, and crashes are sometimes part of his job. It was indeed his fault to collide with his teammate (and he asked for forgiveness and recognized his fault). But his attittude is that of a sportman in and out of the field. I can't say the same for Hamilton and Alonso. His fights 2 or 3 years ago were a disgrace for the sport, and both were guilty of that.

At the end, Button has to be my favorite. No one bets on him yet he always manages to end at the top of the race doing spectacular comebacks. And he's a great guy in all aspects.

How was that a team order? Mclaren told BOTH drivers to slow down and save their fuel. o and when hamilton overtook the safety car he got punished fair and square so whats the problem?

Hamilton is also a cool guy. Not perfect but still a fair driver. He is probably the most gifted F1 driver out their at the moment. he is head and shoulders better than button in a lot of cases. If vettel is such a nice guy why was he calling webber a looney(the expression he did after he got out the car in his crash signaling webber a looney).

Vettel is a nutter, he looks like his going to cause another crash again.

Hamilton is more humble then ever before letting is racing do the action.

Alonso is the biggest fucking prick of all time. To put hamilton on that bracket is fucking crazy. Alonso is FARR worse. he moans everytime he dont get his way, he cheats his way to victory. Hamilton has done none of that.

Hamilton has gotten punished for that SC incident. how can you not see that. are you asking for more punishment? what would be justified? kicking him out of f1 will justifiy hesitating in overtaking the SC car yea?

seriously whats all this hate on Hamitlon. yes his had a few incidents in the past but not as much has alonso. Dont you remember when alonso was in renault and his team mate crashed so he can win the race? Come on how can u put alonso and Hamilton in the same sentance :CONFUSE:
