FIFA 22 Discussion (Console Versions)

Remember that they captured players in motion in the past and I always wondered like, these players don't do this on their full potential, like in a real world game, and even know I highly doubt they act like they do everyting on 100% intensity, therefore, the movements differ from a real match
 
Nevermind. If someone told me that was a trailer for a Ps4 Fifa game i would have believed it.
 
SOOO they have new "Engine" call "Football", or for shorter еFootball. Hmmm i see similar trend that all lame Football game use it.
 
Why does it look like Michael Bay is making trailers these days? Its just action, tricks, kicks, shaky camera.. all its missing are explosions there..
FFS do they really have no creativity and imagination anymore? Cant they not put a little bit of soul into a trailer? Some story? Some feelings?
And on top of that - with all the fancy super-hyper-motion transitions - players still look like they are skating across the pitch every time it flicks into a gameplay.
I've lost my hope 2 years ago, so its not a surprise for me, but jesus christ - they could at least make an atmospheric trailer..

Because kids these days are hyperactive and have worse attention span than a goldfish. It all has to be FAST, SHAKY, LOOK THIS COOL, THAT COOL, INSTANT GRATIFICATION PREORDER NOW!!
 
FIFA has been arse since it transitioned to the Frostbite Engine but everyone knows this and it’s already been said a million times. The game is a joyless, horrible mess of a series now. I haven’t really enjoyed a FIFA Career since FIFA 14 on PS4.

I didn’t buy FIFA 21 and I won’t be getting this. The only way to enjoy single player career mode footy gaming these days is to play the old games or mod the hell out of the new ones.

Around FIFA 19 launch I was like “Yeah footy gaming is done” yet I still naively believed that one day it would return to greatness, whether it be EA or Konami sorting out their shit.

But since FIFA 20 and PES 2020 it dawned on me that the single player scene is done. Stick a fork in it. I don’t even get excited or disappointed anymore because it’s simply the same crap, different year.

EA will only start caring about their product again - truly caring, if for whatever reason FUT gets banned as a mode or the kids get fed up with it. Which is never, ever happening because they’re addicted to showing off Limited Halloween Edition Neymar card to their mates in school.

It’s over for us normies who want to take Portsmouth back to the Premier League on a limited budget.

Nowadays the people who want a good career mode with good features and gameplay is more of the minority, so not really normies , minority at this point

Yes I worded it badly and you’re correct, we’re a huge minority - we literally do not register on EA’s radar now.
 
I'm following this forums for years.
I have bean a PES player until FIFA 15 was introuduced to PC with same graphics as consoles.
All I can say is that this forum is full of frustration and a lot of anger without any real reason. Grow up guys... Looking forward to FIFA 22 next gen on my first console ever.
 
Not much in terms of gameplay unfortunately, but I bet the middfielder problem will still be an issue.

Edit: And for fuck sake, that knee... Hypertorsion?

Yeah, there's a video that plays showing the whole team's movement from a zoomed-out view and you can see tons of the same TERRIBLE animations. Terrible glitchy crab-walking legs that change speed from 0mph to 100mph and back.

I'm certainly not confident about a fix, but I do like how they said 'retaining their shape to move across the pitch'. That's one of the biggest issues in the game and is quite direct language so we'll see I guess..
 
Typical EA trailer, just to introduce what's new. Unfortunately the trailers are not made for us, only for generation x, y and z. I find these new features interesting, but I need to play.

I've seen 6 new gameplay features are exclusive to the new generation, a shame 😓

I think it's a limitation and a side effect of their 1-1 defending mechanism where only certain defender's AI is "activated". Other players are glued to their position and barely moves. There is going to be a lot of end to end goal fest on this FIFA.

Yeah that’s right - it’s all a result of ‘1v1. It became much worse on 21 compared with 20 as well. You can test how it works by making a run from say the left wing to the right wing and you’ll see how bad the 1-1 target system actually is. No logic.

You can almost see a line linking one attacker with one defender across the pitch. Once you start noticing it in game you can’t unsee it either haha.

I don’t understand how they can say this business about ‘completely rewritten defensive AI which moves as a unit’ etc and also keep 1v1. They contradict each other.
