FIFA 22 Discussion (Console Versions)

No you're not tired (well if you said it you're tired but that not the reason)
Before my signature was "sorry for my english in advance" i removed it. Just read where i leave live (edited), you'll understand that i'm not a native english speaker.
I ain't talking about you mate, but in general.

I write sometimes in English, but i think in french, that's the issue. So the way i "build" some sentences could gives a weird result, not commonly used in English.
It's just that i could get better, but it's very tiring and i won't took advanced lessons just for talking with some mates on Whatsapp and posting on Evo-web :JAY:
For some type or expressions, the ones who doesn't got any similitude French vs English, i use "Reverso" (better than Google translation). I just can't found how to explain correctly if i don't have practice, by talking everyday in English about everything, or even reading every day. On my head : it's in french, i can't change it.

That's probably the reason i said some stuffs which doesn't makes sense in a full sentence. But the expression alone means something from "Reverso" at least.
I'm just not used to build sentences with a perfect english "logic"... Let's say. For example, about that post (that how we call a "message" in french on a forum, i think it's the same in english no? Because i know just some small words like this could destroy a full sentence lol) was written without any translator.

Well, i won't lie that being compared to a Google translator :(( i don't think to be that bad and confusing, haha, reaching that level of randomness in associations of words is impossible to me

Still got some big issues, with verbs, mostly vocabulary and expressions, but i think for someone who learn english by just reading series subtitles, manga in english, and others various stuffs, i'm not catastrophic.
But for example, "which" or "who" (i know it's for a person), sometimes it's a bit confusing. There's some special case i have no idea. Or on the post above, "loss/lost" i write too fast... Some word to use in some cases for having a better English sound, i got no idea, if i translate to french both are good.
Thanks for asking BTW : i will try to do better, but i was a bit angry or wanted to write as fast as i could : i got some work to release and i like to talk here (whatever i said about some posts/messages, i like here, and understand everyone position, or sadness or why they're mad etc.)

(Edit: i corrected some words, "s" added for no reason exemple > example etc. haha. But the biggest was "leave > live" i dont know what happened )
I respect anyone who takes time to learn another language - respect to you sir.

Your English is very good, much better than my French!

Thanks mate.

French is pretty difficult to learn. As some association doesn't even makes sense. English, it's more contextual. And there's more verbs (regarding time present, future, past, simple past, etc.) so much more "words/verbs deviation" and adjectives but less words in fact...
I learned it not so long ago that in fact, the thing is : English is influed by both Latin and German in their words. So you got for many words a Latin and a German version...

But the verbs and time are simple, you got 3 or 4 different time, we got at least 7 or 8 i don't remember lol. And much words with a gender (adding a "e" for example). Also a "you" polite version also used when you talk to many people in the same time "Vous", and common version (when you know someone better) "Tu". Don't dare in french to talk, if you don't know your boss, with a "Tu", for someone you call Mister lol.
A bit like in japanese when they add "-san" "-ossan" "-sensei" (for a doctor or professor) after the name etc.

Note: if you don't understand, it's just because it's kinda complicated to assimilate not because of my english haha
Sorry for the OT, again

I'm from Belgium mate ;)
Well it's not that i hate french people, i like them honestly and talk a lot with french (even if some regions have a "we're better than the rest" mentality) but well, the France in his current state, is far from being an example :JAY:

Bonjour le baguette mon amour je t'aime
bon journée le pipette

I said it before and I think it's coming to it pretty soon.
League/team licence's will be out the window ,I'm sure it's going to be player licence's in the future ,it's all individual "me me me" in football (games) nowadays.

Some people actually support players instead of teams ,and have no attention span for a full game ,so buying gold Messi for a 8 min online game doing insane tricks in ridiculous clothes/hair colours is what we're at.

I'd be fascinated to sit down with an EA or Konami money person with a list of their respective licenced leagues and say: how many of these would you lose before Mbappe's name and likeness?

The majority of them would be wiped out in a heartbeat.

Update! EA Sports has currently deleted the previously announced league and clubs from the website: Indian Super League Wrexham A.F.C. Portugal NT (Men & Women) Belgium NT (Women) No explanation has been provided by EA for their removal.

I always have a smile on my face when I read his comments. It reminds me how my comments must be received, when my knowledge of the English language ain’t any better! :D

Btw: I invite all of you coming to the Bratwurst and Mandelhörnchen thread and have a discussion! :APPLAUD:
https://evoweb.uk/threads/evo-web-deutschland-bratwurst-und-mandelhörnchen.80836/

Edit: I like it that searching for a word like Bratwurst is giving me a result here in the forums! I feel at home! :D

If your brain's ever too tired to translate, check out https://www.deepl.com/translator machine learning trained translator, way more accurate and human than Google translator, I use it all the time to speak to Swedish people now :)

Swedish  Nothing comparable, it's an Nordic language, i don't even know how hard it would be to translate to english. Well latin > german is also completely different, but english is international. The only "big" issue is the contextual and some usage of verbs especially, even more than names, and expression. For example, i wanted to say "we played on football on a surface made of bitumen"... But "bitume" is most commonly used in french than in English.
Btw il love those languages. Well not all Nordic in terms of "earing" but Swedish is interesting. I think they're a bit more used, like Netherlands people, to speak English in some regions, is that right? Because in fact, in Netherlands, all around Amsterdam : they speak as much English than their native language.

Also, another thing, there's some small differences from Belgium to France globally, and even in France there's difference between regions in terms of vocabulary most commonly used : i've sometimes heard or read stuff i got no idea what it meaned. And it's in the dictionnary, so not a dialect (we got a very big dialect in Belgium from the past, aswell as in Foggia italian : aswell as "Wallon" is comparable to old French, Foggia dialect have nothing to do with italian. Looks practically english melted with arabic and a bit of italiian my father talk it, it was like caveman speaks to me, imagine the thing :LMAO:)

No i'm not too tired (my brain especially haha) when i wrote. It's more that i notice some errors after i've send the message. I'm used now, but it's a forum, and pretty international a lots of spanish, south american... German, some italians... Just that they don't post light novel like i do haha, but simple sentence, i noticed.

I can read it twice before posting, i won't see it... Only after, it's probably a mental/psychology thing, i don't know.

Thanks for the link mate. I tried on a spanish forum but even if i know italian (from my origin : but i learned to understand, but not to speak and writing is a bit hard), no way : i melt some lookalike italian words with spanish :CALM:

I'm near Paris so i understand what you mean mate.
Many have bad mentality and are thinking they are the best 😅. You can't changed them!
My english is bas but i tried to do my best to be understand haha.

Like you I'm thinking in French and sometimes I've some troubles to express myself correctly in English.

But like this forum, I'm in love with football,.

Couldnt care less. Their demos were useless anyway. No sliders and no option to change game speed.
It was as useful as Pes Demo with no offline match. Chocolate fucking teapot for offline/career mode players.

Not agree with that. Demo in the past have helped me making a decision about buying or not a game. Even if it ends up being somehow a bit different from the released game, it gives you an approximate idea about how the game is going to be. It is giving you the "feel" you lack when watching videos (even if oten videos are enough for me to judge if there is a chance I will enjoy a game).
For instance, without a demo, I am not sure I would have bought PES17.
Also: FIFA16 demo, period.

Edit: changed really good idea to approximate idea

I respectfully disagree with you mate.

I’ve played FIFA demos in past which I’ve loved. Then the full game arrives and it’s much faster, frantic and nothing like demo.

I'm going to buy EA sports pass for 4 quid ..10 hours will last me a while and I'll decide weather to buy or not plus one month sub will get day one patch I'm guessing so you can see the changes

There's no better way to found the fundamental issues than playing with the vanilla game but Demo is another story (as it's never really the same as the full game, and 6 minutes games)
They build sliders regarding on this.
But well, if you talk about the feeling, yes, probably, you're right. But i already said : i'm a football communist and hate sliders for what they serves (not preferences but try to correct games flaws) so...

Well, only for the feeling, Demo is more or less the same as the final game, so personally i care about having a Demo. That's 50% why i don't like Fifa anymore.
And 10 euros for one game with EA pass, as not a single other EA game interest me... For 10 days...

I don't even think you can trust the full game either. That's my experience anyway.

Think it was 16 & 17 that game changed a lot within one update. It's usually the defending that is always nerfed so people can dribble for fun.

At least this year, like last, they've nerfed prior to release so I don't have to waste my money and time buying it, messing with sliders for a month and then selling it.

I will try it on EA Play but probably wait until Christmas sales to see how the land lays by then.

In other news - total decimation of the national teams, for some reason...

As someone who loves playing with national teams, either in a World Cup, or one of the continental cups like the Euro and Copa América, this feels like a sick joke from EA.

FIFA is already lacking in the national team department compared to PES, there are very few choices and the ones without real kits can't be edited like in PES, where I can give most national teams any kit I want, including North Korea, for example, which FIFA never has in the game at all.

Now they're going to have even less, and are excluding some important ones, like Uruguay, as a Brazilian here I can't imagine playing a football game in which I can't play a Copa América with Uruguay in it, it's ridiculous.

I've always loved national team football, no sponsor on the shirt, players who were there to represent their countries out of love, instead of representing a club they don't care about because they want money. It's just more soulful, and now it's being more neglected than ever, I'm very dissapointed.

Don’t you think it has something to do with next years world cup? If they release a world cup dlc everyone’s gonna have to buy that if they wanna play with all the national teams.

They can't call the league "Serie A" and have no defending in the game, that would be insulting to the whole country of Italy, so they're calling it eSerie A.
No defending? That's right, unfortunately.
A new Nesta is born once in more or less 100 years, and now we're in the period in which we'll have to do without.
