FIFA 22 Discussion (Console Versions)

It's more a good than bad news for them hahaha

I hope they will release a yearly Demo for Fifa 22. I just want to see the graphics and atmosphere PS5 version with my own eyes, that's all. I won't buy it before 2023 practically 90% sure, or won't buy it at all 80% sure too.

Seeing the gameplay and reading many comments like "why is it so slow?" and "is this in slow motion?" while the player is doing 3 skills at the same time and sliding all over the pitch while eating a sandwich proves to me that at this point the Fifa community just wants a Inazuma Eleven game with realistic graphics

I have decided to invest my time and watch it and I have lost couple of minutes from my life 😂

Are they blind ? I mean EA. They have made a video with two kids and kept asking them how is the game and these kids were answering under pressure where it is all about promoting the game. Even them - kids who played this game were underwhelmed as you can easily feel it from the video and the only who have been impressed and excited like on the first date with a girl about the game were EA representatives 😂

They are very brave to promote and show such a bad gameplay like on this video, the game looked so bad on this promotion video.

Hopefully UFL and GOALS can bring a proper football simulation game.

EA, you are totally 100% losers, seriously… and even if you think you aren’t because of selling records of this game then remember “money isn’t everything” especially in today’s world where it is very easy to sell and earn a lot of money on a trash product and the real truth is that you are a big company with very weak games most of the time and fifa franchise is one of them. FIFA the most popular game only because of the beauty of football and all the supporters around the world who love this amazing sport, definitely not because of your skills in developing. This game is a total trash. And it isn’t only about fifa 22, it is the whole series. The only ”great” football game there ever been is Pro Evo from PS2 times. Fifa has a lot of potential and was sometimes closer to the feeling of these old great games but developers are one of the worst in the industry if not the worst when you will keep in mind about their financial capabilities.

I just cannot stand their words of promoting like “more realistic” “the best ball physic” etc - LIARS or don’t know nothing about this sport.

By the way “the pitch is ours“ from Konami these times is even more laughable 🤣

The Q & A was also a good laugh.

EA Producer: "Hyper Motion is a big deal this year, what's your honest opinion Hashtag Tom?"
Hashtag Tom: "Honestly ... <repeats a sentence from EA's site> Smooth blah blah and Realistic!"

The funny thing is that having proper defensive AI would actually make the game feel much faster, as you would have to take fewer touches and have to think faster to retain possession.

With "1v1" where players are given acres of space then to try to make the game feel fast then you have to make the players move in this weird super-fast twitchy/ultra-responsive way. Have the players move like real humans with this lack of AI and it would feel like the game plays at a snails pace.

I can kind of understand complaints about modern FIFA being too slow in this regard - you are always offered space to move into and/or a simple pass or two (or three) at any moment, there's always an obvious next action to take. Rarely do you have to really think quickly or solve problems. It's 99% reactions and controller dexterity/precision which if you're good at, the mental side of the game is slow/simple.

Wow this is horrible. The obsession with lazer guided pass and tiki taka is ruining football games. It's going to be another year of Portsmouth playing tiki taka with 98% passing accuracy I can tell.
I m rather more interested with the way the ball behaves rather than the ai behavior, to me Fifa s Ai is a lot more realistic and more varied than pes, now if we get good passing animations and ball physics , in good to go with career mode on fifa 22

I cutted directly around 1m40 when the player don't even turn, he teleport over 180 degree and made a incredible pass like if it was totally normal.
I wanted before... But no.
Absolutely no physics matters. I prefers even logic what you call "stiff" "lag" but 100% more logic IRL than that shit.
It's not a matter of "better" but "different/more logic".
Then if it's differently handled, and you can turn on 180 degree like if you teleport then i could give a try. Waiting for the annual Demo then, those things doesn't change with a patch so i already know if it will please me or not.

Don't want a full team of with teleportation as special skils guys and Barry Allen players. Even the ball is Barry Allen.

Like i said in another thread, FTM Fifa 22 is still a FIFA 21 with a new animation engine/that perhaps could be done on current gen.
But it's still the "good" old Frostbite running it.
When the console will be more current-gen and +- everyone will got one like we got a PS4 or a PC running for some running those games, we will really see a real Fifa Next-gen as it should be. Not for privileged or lucky people. Graphisms are not that hard to handle / In preparation for the real NG game probably in one or two year...
No idea with that fucking crisis which never ends...

Thanks!
Do you play on semi/FUTO? Do you enjoy this?
That's all semi , I flip between a mix and manual but for me semi is more realistic.. I enjoy it now there not 4 or 5 attackers running amock through my defence every other attack. Like I said for my personal taste I like the edited tactic of one bar for AI attack players in the box and zero run Freq ..I'm less worried about my CDM not moving as he doesn't have to as much ...like I said the AI still attacks with enough players but it's manageable
