FIFA 22 Discussion (Console Versions)

Agree. One way they can do this is to stop defenders tracking those runs deep. So much space opens up when the attacking runs are dictating the defensive line.

The other way to improve the midfield game is to have the CPU providing more resistance and pressure on the ball. Hypermotion has been good with the team movement to help combat the 1v1 issue, but on NG now teams generally sit off into their shape too much and don’t really provide much resistance in your own half.
That simple sentence nails it down, for me!
so much stuff needs fixing…! Still… my hunger for “some“ footy fix is me ignoring flaws. Man, i wish I could finally say good bye. It’s like getting of a drug (I imagine). 🤷‍♂️

Of course there can be improvements but as I'm off work this weekend I've installed all my old favourite pes games 17, 19 & 21 ..fifa 22 is a masterpiece compared to these.

“A.I. is very well set up to be the thing that defines this generation of console,” says Sean Ramjagsingh, vice president and general manager for EA Sports. “The extra computing power of the new consoles unlocks extra abilities for us from a development perspective and [between] what’s happening with the capturing of real-world data and the way data’s being leveraged now to drive different technologies, there are a lot of opportunities for us moving forward.”

Longer term, says Kantcho Doskov, gameplay design director on EA’s FIFA franchise, the team imagines a world where they can get data from real-world tournaments in a similar fashion to incorporate into the game.

“We’re at a place where graphics are really, really good,” says Doskov. “Over the next few years, A.I. is what’s going to improve and really, really take a step higher. When I look back at the first version of the game we put on PS4 vs. last year’s, there’s a big difference. If you look at them side by side, things look so much better, players behave much more intelligently. Over that life cycle of (the next) five to eight years, I expect improvements to be made every year.”

🤔

That's a very, very bold shout. The lack of improvement, visually, in that time is scandalous. And intelligence? Failing to see any advancement.

I have this game ps5. it's utterly crap and shit, unrealistic and catered towards people that (maybe hate?) football. It plays nothing like football, the physics are awful and the animations are so bad too. It does look really great and has a good presentation too... But I can't understand how this has been the more popular football game the last decade... I played them all but at least since a patch on 18, it's so shit - plays are moments and not really organic. Sad. FIFA 16 had good manual

I'll add it was less worse on 1.00 though, what happened?

I think this is a much better game than FIFA 16. I don’t get the love-in for that game, the players look ridiculous with their alien looking long arms. Plus it’s the fastest football game on the planet from what I remember, even when set to slow.

You have a major love/hate relationship with 22 NG don't you haha.

Game is still class for me , ive switched to manual now and dropped down to professional as i re learn it . Ive even put trainer mode on so i can see how the trajectory works on passing and shooting and its starting to click. I did also have a look at how the trajectory lines work on assisted and its ridiculous. - how this can be used in E Sports is beyond me- the line shows one way (the way you are actually pointing your controller stick) and the auto pass can , and usually does, go in the completely opposite direction of the line.

Got the same as Mikhail, i retried before the very latest patch and the speed, on slow, seemed rectified.
So i was about to give, again, a serious try about that game and try to handle the defence.

Now, when i see vids, it's back the vanilla version with Barry Allen blood in all players veins. + the physics bugs unforgivable.

I didn't buy 6 FIFA 22 version please, one rectification or two as the game was launched early due to the pandemic, when it's solid enough : just focus on bugs removal. It was +- okay on the before latest patch to me.
