ive done that with my 7 year old who is also footy mad - we have some great games against each other and also co opSounds promising! Will try when I get chance... Got my 9 year old for the next two days doubt I will get chance to play... Unless I introduce him to the game so I can kick his ass!
I like them. They are default speed so it might seem a bit faster if you are used to offline. Also depends on your opponent. I've had players play nice and slow looking for opening, but I've also had ppl who just push and bomb away end to end. I would think besides matchmaking community numbers, online is the same as in consolesWhat do you think of online games in the Stadia version? I haven't tried a single one yet. Is it too frantic?
might be partly due to the patch but really... i cant stress enough how important it is to let the AI play football! and when the user does the same... it all unfolds so differently!I think they nerfed pass accuracy..
Im frequently getting AI below 80%, which never really happened before, regardless of teams that I used.
Same online. I always had pass accuracy around 75% mark playing on manual.
Now I didnt get above 70%.
I really, really like it...
Everyone is using different settings, different sliders, different teams, leagues, difficulties.might be partly due to the patch but really..
I can corroborate particularly on this part! After three games the sense of inertia, with respect to both the ball and the players seems as good as it was before, if not even better.Everyone is using different settings, different sliders, different teams, leagues, difficulties.
Im talking about my experience and I havent changed my playstyle overnight.
Also - I did mention playing online, where I also noticed accuracy difference. So its not just AI.
Also - its feels less twitchy and inertia seems to be back to where it was. Probably thats why matches feel more fluid. Its easier and more natural to wrong foot the players now.
..and maybe thats why accuracy is down?
Coz your body position and balance is important again.
Its all very subtle, but Im having same fun as I was when the game was released + fouls.
I never really stopped enjoying it, but after second patch it just felt that some of it was missing. Kinda like F16 after patches. It was still solid, it was still fun, but a bit less... natural. Now its back.
..at least till next patch..

i was watching that as a teen! ...and i am not ashamed of doing so!Sliders addiction has been a problem since the mide 1990's my friend

(I have not seen a single episode of this but I felt there was a joke in there so here we are. Sorry.)
☝️this. 100%.What does worry me a little though is that this is something that EA never mention touching, even in their super detailed patch notes.
Yeah it seems solid and somehow its back to having really nice flow.
I did spent some time on World Class difficulty, as it felt too easy on Professional. But on World Class 98% of the time it felt great and then AI was suddenly stringing 20 laser guided passes up until they scored. Reminded me frustration I had in Master League. Now - Professional is nicely balanced again. Had a great second match.
For me - each patch so far made it better.
Stats look solid too (me being Rayo)
82% is still not too bad for AI on Legendary..Thought I'd post one of my post game stats to contrast
Haha! The CPU just had FOUR players sent off against me in a pre season match. This better not happen every single game? Has anyone played a lot of this since update?
I took a photo when it was at 3 red cards:

Ps. On Legendary I'd get slaughtered..
Did you always have this sort of pass accuracy from AI?
*Ring ring* Calling our good friend @Mathgamer! Another person has noticed this issue (I mentioned it to you a week or so ago), it really seems like a bug at this point - is it possible to get a response from EA about this one? The first touch error slider does nothing!...and the first touch error has zero impact, I have it on 100 for CPU and they almost never miscontrol the ball.
Oh there definitely is. Especially with the "live updates" (where they can tweak gameplay without you even needing to download a game update).Fifa really has turned a massive corner and theres no going back.
Let people enjoy it for a day or two before we start making EA Voodoo dolls again...Oh there definitely is. Especially with the "live updates" (where they can tweak gameplay without you even needing to download a game update).
One of their reds was when I was through on goal, which was so good to see. What kind of fouls led them to be sent off? I'm curious eheheh
The AI is more ruthless in Career Mode matches from my experience in Stadia. That's because of exaggerated stuff like that I ended up reporting the issue to EA....
From what I've read from your previous posts, you are probably playing with default sliders, right? I felt the aggressiveness was more over the top when my marking was set to 75/75. Setting everything back to 50/50, as I've been playing currently, made it a bit better, but it's still not right at all.
Again, and other than that, I'm truly loving the game still.
I rest my case. The other 3 were just the CPU completely losing its mind and sliding it for no reason when I’m in midfield or around my own area. That’s why I was worried that this is now too far the other way - I would rather no fouls than the CPU going down to 7 men every match
I guess this shows how difficult it is to make a game for everyone. Or at least, how difficult it is for a "quick fix" to suit everyone.Seriously now, it's not as extreme as that (3 red cards every match) but as time goes by you will notice the AI doing the same dirty sliding trick quite often. Specially if you like to pass the ball around in your own half as you are building up. At least that's what I feel in my CM in Stadia. I'm still not sure I would consider that better than how it was before.
Sorry I didn’t answer your other question: I use default sliders on slow speed with just pass speed reduced to 40.I rest my case.

I agree with you. The only way to make it work (fouls, referee strictness, handballs, etc..) in a broader scale is through additional sliders. This would maybe emulate the way we tweak older games like FIFA 16.I guess this shows how difficult it is to make a game for everyone. Or at least, how difficult it is for a "quick fix" to suit everyone.
You pass around in your own half - so the AI sliding in while you're doing that is going to look insane (like the opponent is a team of Roy Keanes, or a bored online opponent waiting to break your players' legs).
I don't, because I play a shorter half length and want the game to feel like a highlights package (not that I spam passes) - so when the AI slides in on me, it's likely to be in more sensible circumstances.
The only way to solve this is to put much more logic into the AI's aggression (which is what we'd all prefer) - but right now, it's no aggression, or random aggression. In your situation, it'll be bad. For me, it'll probably be okay. But you need to switch it off, or it may completely ruin your game.
This is why we need many, many more sliders (and devs who build this stuff into the game, not add it on in a week to please "the moaners")...
If the sliding behaviour (which I've still not seen for myself, played 5 full matches since the update now) is being talked about here like this, then you can bet it's come to the notice of the devs via focus groups/Twitter or whatever, and can further bet that we've got about two weeks to enjoy FIFA 22 with fouls.
