I agree, Chris love the work you're putting in but in the influencer age people only care for shallow crap. For me personally I accept the game as it is luckily there's sliders I think this is as deep as EA will go even next gen I wouldn't get my hopes up as I expect more of the same just more prettier, shinier and fast.

The future is an indie football game built by a community of people that is us for us, there has been several tries recently like sociable soccer, kick off revival etc..... All have failed mainly down to resources and design, but 1 day someone will make it happen.

100 percent agree.. the only true hope Is an Independent game, majors won't make untainted games anymore..

We'd need a big name to launch a kickstarter or something..

seria A next year i guess,fifa 20 bundesliga,fifa 19 la liga,if they add everything in 1 year,there wont be "new features" for the new fifa they are so lazy,every year they add promoted clubs faces in november instead of september with release date

Looks like more and more people are starting to realize EA's bullshit and are fed up with being served the same game year after year.

I guess Fut junkies are still gonna spend their money on it though so EA will have massive earnings once more.

But the general frustration is getting bigger and bigger.I don't remember them having so much bad criticism in the past like they have in the last 1-2 years.

Hope this is something good and maybe it'll finally motivate them to put real effort and deliver a really good game with big changes in the near future.
The more money and reputation they lose,the sooner this can happen.

Serie A does not own the teams.Every team is independent from the league and has a right to negotiate independentely if and to which company it's gonna give it's license and stadium.
So for Fifa 21 i guess they're gonna try to put all Ligue 1 stadiums and teams which is easier to do as Ligue 1 owns the teams also i think.

Yep..but there’s no first touch error and everything is too perfect..The passes,the prisition.The way the players just snap onto the ball.The instant control..

If this was addressed and much more weight to the ball?..

I’m also a little disappointed with the ball physics generally..It just comes across as quick triangles up front and geared totally for FIFA’s USP..Which is shooting.

Pace again is to fast imo.Cosmetics,sound first class but we all know frostbite does that really well.

What I don't get is that in all their initial PR and community stuff, the stuff they were talking about and the videos they were showing were all based around "new real-world ball physics".

In the space of a couple of weeks after the initial beta release, they've gone back on almost everything they were talking about. Ball physics now are pretty much FIFA 19's again.

How bad is your planning / prep stage of development if you make decisions for your product that you're so happy to drop (completely) at the drop of a hat a month before release?

Knowing that the beta feedback forum contained a lot of negativity, I'm just praying they go back (at least a little) to their original plan by the time the public release comes.

There’s so much potential here..And that’s whats frustrating..

It's been mentioned already, but having just watched these on a TV instead of a mobile phone... Well, give me your feedback guys, but I'm sure they're from different versions.

If you have the capability, watch this on your TV for a few minutes (from 2:19):


Then watch this (from about 2:15):


IGN claim the first vid is "from Gamescom". Yet it has commentary missing, which is there in the Gamescom build, and it even has odd loading screen messages advertising the game's new features (like a demo). I haven't seen those in other Gamescom videos - can anyone prove me wrong there?

So either...

A) The IGN guys set their gameplay to "slow", set the camera to co-op and turned the commentary off - which seems like a really odd set of things to do when you're recording something that's supposed to be representative of the game to your viewers (especially turning commentary off),

B) Attributes make such a huge difference now that Barcelona play at a completely different speed to other teams (like, a whole speed setting level faster),

C) There is no speed difference and I'm crazy,

- and speaking to beta guys, I bet it's this...

D) IGN didn't record FIFA at Gamescom and their video is from a different build that was sent to their HQ, likely a demo build based on the original beta code. So at least, with the demo, we might get to experience what it was like before it got patched, right? (Sigh.)

Ball physics aren't great in either vid to be fair, but the speed difference seems huge to me.

I was hoping it was a later-than-Gamescom demo build and it might show that they've "gone back" to the original beta gameplay - but...

With the demo due in a couple of weeks, it's more likely that they finished the demo build alongside the original beta. Especially when the Gamescom build plays identically to the final beta build.

EDIT: A beta player has said to me that, based on BVB's defender positioning and the fact that they aren't gegenpressing the ball-carrier to death, it's original beta gameplay - but with loading screens advertising the full game (like a demo) which the beta never had. So I definitely think it's the demo - which will in no way represent the final product with the day one patch...

Maybe EA made a build just to keep the FUT heads happy in Germany and the good beta gameplay is still intact for the full retail version on the original build

Definitely represents pre patch beta gameplay, you can tell because they are trying to play it like 19 and it’s not working, ball physics are actually there too, the sprint button causes a burst of speed.

Only criticism is Dortmund aren’t high pressing just standing off.
 
so let me get this straight (sorry, haven't been following FIFA 20 too much), that Dortmund v Bayern gameplay posted above is NOT what you guys expect we'll get in the full release? Because I really like what I was seeing from that video. Looked slower and passing looked much more realistic (ie. you can't just force passes forward like the guy playing as Dortmund was trying).

Shame because that build looks very promising.

Correct - it seems to be a demo build, based on the original beta, which was then sped up (and can be seen in the second video). Only a theory but this is based on what beta players are telling me are the tell-tale signs (e.g. defenders initially didn't press the ball carrier and roam from their position until you were very close, in the second beta build defenders gegenpress much more aggressively).
