FIFA 17 News & Discussion Thread

Some people are nets-lovers, I myself obsess over turfs/pitch and I'm so satisfied with everything I'm seeing in that regard. Maybe just a little more greenish vibrance using SweetFX (about 15%) and that'll be it for me.

I can't understand how people can't tell the difference graphics-wise between Ignite and Frostbite. From the gameplay camera everything looks so real. However cutscenes and cinematics are a different thing, I think PES looks a lot better this year in that matter. But let's be honest, you don't play cinematics, you play with the gameplay camera so that's what matters. There's like a subtle blur effect (like the one Konami used in PES 2012 and PES 2013) which makes everything so smooth and real.

can't you just make those adjustments in your displays settings?

i too like Fifa's camera better, just wish konami did.

No bro, are you kidding me? If you change it through your GFX Card settings, the whole color-palette gets changed. You can saturate, desature, add or remove contrast and brightness but you can make JUST the turf look more green or whatever through display settings.

It's funny how much joy people take in tearing something apart.

That particular video looks pretty poor to me too (in-fact I repeatedly said so a couple of hours ago).

But I don't get the need to gloat about it as if you've got shares in the anti-EA/FIFA bandwagon...

It's disappointing, not a victory... For anyone...

i think you are reading my posts the wrong way.

i am just glad when i see some see it exactly the way i do.

it gives me less of a feeling like i am the only one on this island.

i appreciate both games for the things they do best.

i just don't try and see things or look for things that just aren't there.

perfect passing and the defense is out there but they don't do enough.

defense not anticipating passes....

Perfect passing can be fixed via the sliders not concerned about that, that's what the other game needs for that area, also don't forget it's Madrid and Barcelona, which have top end passers in the game, I'd understand if it was Bournemouth or someone like that.

Everything's looking fine in Fifa 17. But man, they haven't fixed the night lights and colors for faks sake! I think they like it dark. Atleast the contrast of the mow patterns in night matches have been increased.

Btw, why day matches are too dark? I hope cloudy weather is still bright and shiny like it was in Fifa 16 (In Fifa 16 clear weather is darkknight).

Atleast the dusk weather in Fifa 17 is looking gay and cheerful :D

Question to beta testers: is the player movements is reaponsive like Fifa 16 or is it horribly laggy like Fifa 14 and Pes 14?
If you change your camera angle it changes. If you are asking beta testers how do you know what the pitches look like?

I was going to say it feels similar to PES 2014 in terms of the weight of the players, i'm trying to relearn how to how to receive a pass, turn and move with a respectable pace. I wouldn't call it unresponsive or a kind of latency or anything, just that there's more of an acceleration process going on to when you receive the ball and start dribbling with it.

Hoping to get some decent videos up for you guys this week, barely had time with the Beta myself. Just looks like alot of peoples Videos aren't staying up for long..

Offline players will enjoy this fifa its a decent base of default so sliders will only improve it more

Played pro clubs last night im not sure if i like it yet seems too easy to score right now lots of ppl scoring long shots especially

Every chance that will be added, or at least in the PC version we can assign a callname ;)

People need to get into the habit of grabbing them and uploading to Mega or somewhere.

Yeah that would be handy. Got to be quick though, and not as easy for folk browsing on their phones.

I know someone answered it, but is there any more feedback from other people on team a.i?

Can you notice the difference playing against different teams?

Defending and dribbling is way more balanced now. You have time with the ball in the middfield. Scoring feels more rewarding and long shots are very realistic. You can dominate middfield with players like Kante,Toure etc. and you can dictate the tempo with players like Fabregas,Modric,Iniesta etc. I hope they doesn't change this beautiful game for the final release.

This sounds good.
Hope I'll see it the same way.

Absolutely fucking brilliant is my opinion. An improvement is better than the same. All i can say. Refs are brutal.

kind of like the jump going from fifa 13 pc to fifa 14 ps4

Played last night for a spell and really tried to pay attention to variability in playing style. Results in Huddersfield CM were a 2-1, 1-0, 2-0, 1-2, 0-3. Last two were against Newcastle and Villa away, Newcastle got a late winner and Villa scored two quick ones through Jordan Ayew and Agbonlahor on the counter. Seemed like Newcastle had a lot more driving runs with Sissoko and Gouffran through midfield, occasional breaks wide with Perez, while Villa broke at pace.

RE: stats, no surprise that passing for CPU was regularly >85% and it's noticeable during the match. Very few errant passes other than crosses and first touches that are unerring.

As others have commented, offline really seems like it will be a great game with the aid of slider tweaks. Having a lot of fun with it and not as frustrated with the shortcomings, though if I think long enough about EA's resources there is certainly reason to be. Watching videos it doesn't appear that there's much different, but playing it there's no doubts.

The animations are a bit too fast (some of the running animations are cartoonish at that speed), and I was desperate to see Sunderland do something, but, decent video.
