Thias sums up how I feel. I really, really try to love PES21/FIFA 23 but it's impossible to ignore the frustration these games cause you trying to accomplish simple things.

You go and play FIFA 16 and the balance is near perfect, you're not wrestling the damn controller or dealing with unpredictable player control and you can relax instead knowing you can trust the game to be reasonable as you, well you know... try to participate in the match.

I always say, If a game makes you mutter "oh for fuck sake" under your breath every five minutes because it fails or betrays you on the simplest of actions, then it's a bad game.

Agree. I think a lot of it comes down to the fact that the positioning/behaviour on 16 is very much focused around the position of the ball itself. This seems to give a certain logic to how actions play out on the field.

Modern PES and FIFA seem to have rigid zones/areas/movement that isn't reactive to what's happening on the pitch, instead just where everything is coded to be.
 
Is there a way to retrieve the mods or what can we do to deactivate them? Something like a verify integration of files with Pes or the ";" on the sider.ini

Which mod? If it's ball physics then just launch the game without opening Cheat Engine.

If it's camera, then you can use the default bcdata folder (or just delete the folder and regenerate bh files)

Oh, so ball physics mod will not work if I don't have cheat engine open? When I made the installation, I did the ctrl+alt+B, heard the voice that said it was installed and then closed cheat engine. Should it need to be just minimized?

No worries man. So I'm not entirely sure if it will stay working, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't once you close CE. So I launch the game normally and then when I'm in the proper main menu 'kick off etc' I will launch CE and then activate it with the keys.

Once it's activated I leave it on until after I close the game.

Thanks man. I think I was using it without the mod because I closed CE after "installing" it. Now I know. Thanks for helping me!

Outside of the obvious skating, 1v1 and team position issues, perhaps the biggest deal breaker for me of all is that you're not even allowed to pass the ball the way you want.

If i want to max out the power on my pass to another player and drill it 10 yards, whether it's a good idea or not - let me make that mistake. however the game overrides your passing input and makes passes super soft, caps it to be on a rail in a predetermined direction to cause a contrived interception.

I'm sorry but that's just utter bullshit. I can't dignify a game that doesn't let you take responsibility for your own decisions.

I have a transcription of an EA sports meeting: "Well kiddos and teens have to win some games to stay hooked and have to loose some to buy cards, no way we let them play by themselves, its about business not progress."
 
I noticed a bug when there's a penalty, the players and crowd reaction is stupid when the home team gets one. Its like the penalty is given to the away team, players and crowd are depressed. I play with 1.0 version, is it addresed in the 1.07 version?

Has someone tried to mess with the crowdreaction files? I replaced the home penalty message id with the won end game id, its better, but not great though. The crowd cheers, players are more emotional but the spectators remain sitting with not much excitement. Its a detail but it somehow ruins the immersion.

I was inspired by the thread in your link, yes. But the changes in the sound codes haven't always an effect, sometimes nothing happens. I never tried it but i don't think it is possible to change this while the game is running,you probably have to close the game, change and launch the game again or the modification will not be taken in account by the game.
 
Is there a pitch SFX mod for Fifa 16? Sometimes I don´t hear the sounds when kicking the ball or GK making a save. Is there a way to make them sound higher?

I've always tended to lower the commentary volume to allow for more crowd ambience and on-field sounds. The in-game menu does a pretty good job of letting you prioritize the sounds you want the loudest when patches have thrown the sound levels off a bit for the different elements.

Thank you! I also wanted to know if there is a way to modify the player cursor? Sometimes I don't know which player I'm controlling.

40 euros..a bit much..still no regrets when I installed the lighting mods..thanks for that!
I'm new to all of this fifa modding etc..
I find the default game settings to fast.
Will download also the ball physics..also thanks for this offcourse!
Will it change the game so much?
Again thanks for everything with this thread! I'm currently downloading the fifa 11 to fifa 16 patch..is it worth installing?

Hi, how are things going with your new game? Did you installed all the mods you are want? Do you like the Gameplay and the Graphics etc.? The FIFA 11 Mod is very well. I like him a lot because he have so much good quality real Faces and accurate Squads from that Season. You also should download Scouser´s compdata edits he made extra for that Patch. I asume you are speaking about the mod from Soccergaming Forum, right?
Without that extra edited files from Scouser you can´t play the mod in Career Mode. But all other tournaments are working so far. If you need the downloadlink for the additions let me know. Or just search in the particular Forum thread about it.
