FIFA 15 News & Discussion Thread

Re: Fifa 15: Any info yet?

It does that. When playing in rain it definitely slows down faster and makes the ball more slippery.

However, I can't see how they would implement ball bounces off dents in the field left by slide tackles/boots. The NG consoles aren't that powerful to use real-time physics...

That parenthesy about living pitch, I say it just to contextualize the fact; it was a discussion born in another FIFA forum where it seems people are never satisfied with what is introduced and complain about nothing really new.
So the admin, after talking with Channon himself, was confirmed about the big problems they could encounter in managing this features in deep. Probably, people are right when complain, but it seems, like the situation among basket 2K and the other, there's been not great evolution if one ride alone. So is in this case after konami recent slowdown. Eventually EA consolidate from FIFA 11 and something new could be achievable only after a japanese resurrection.
I hope to have treated the thing with good manners.

Re: Fifa 15: Any info yet?

Haha, but you're on Next Gen aren't you Placebo? ;)

At least you have more enjoyable one :P.

Yes and yes :)

just wondering if the gameplay will be the same for last gen

No I wouldn't expect so, last gen gameplay will be similar to Fifa14 last gen.

The last video about cutscene, ball rolling, Messi skills ecc. was very exciting. Producer (soccergaming.com) confirmed about pitch deforming is only graphic. They can't manage involving ball, players or anything else.

Yeah a lot of the living world/pitch/soul stuff is visual only because they don't think it's fair to take certain things out of the hands of gamers, I guess for example it's the dying seconds of a crucial online match and you're about to shoot but the badly cut up pitch causes a bobble and your player horribly miskicks etc. etc. of course the majority of us in here want that kind of stuff in the game but then we are playing football games because we love the sport and enjoy gaming rather than playing purely for gaming's sake where winning is the only pertinent factor. Hopefully at least in career mode some of the stuff with form and morale will tie into the new on pitch emotional stuff which will be great :)

Re: Fifa 15: Any info yet?

It could be good, eventually, to guide cut scene in easy 3 rapids ways especially when receiving a foul. This example and other about hair moving, are the ones where scripting would be well accepted, dont you?
That discussion in the video about, lead nowhere, on me.

Re: Fifa 15: Any info yet?

Let's see how the gameplay is this time. I'm worried about the pace and inertia, as majority of people didn't love the FIFA 14 approach. Will EA backtrack and return to FIFA 13 arcadish setting?

Another question is, can gameplay be better than the Matt10 sliders + Zarzelius cl.ini config I use for FIFA 14 PC? 'cause it's freakin' awesome. I enjoy every single game.

Re: Fifa 15: Any info yet?

Really hate E3, on the one hand I'm desperate for news on the new Fifa and thrilled we got some really good early news about the game (making excellent progression IMO) and on the other hand it makes it bloody hard to go back to playing Fifa14 for another 3 months!

I know! Been playing FIFA a little over the last couple days (World Cup fever!) and all I can think about is how ugly the game is and how unrealistic the pitch looks!

I'm looking forward to the improved tackles, as now I'm especially aware of just how many good tackles don't actually lead to ball possession. This should be a good addition, as long as it's not over-powered.

I just pray they've done enough to upgrade the AI. I'm not sure I could go another year playing with some of the current issues, even if overall I still find the game enjoyable.

One of my biggest concerns too.

Re: Fifa 15: Any info yet?

yes pace and inertia for pes 14ng on slow is already on the fast side for me(havent even entered fut mode as i know its faster and arcady ) ,love everything they are going to improve on for fifa 15 NG so far.
just hope they. make throughballs and headers less acurate.
best news so far for me for fifa 15 NG is return of tournament and guestplay is confirmed.

Me too.

About headers they have already said that will be less acurate. Unfortunately nothing about throughballs.

Maybe the spin in the ball they annoucned have some impact for throughballs.

Through balls even less accurate? Damn, even now I cannot pull one off. 8 out of 10 attempts end in AI legs .

Different matter online as people online will always look how to exploit the game (ie. do all for the win).

I want to see those possession tackles made properly. As in FIFA 14 I am fuming. Every tackle ends in... Ball going to opponent again. Great.

Och and slide tackles don't really connect (even if you see the ball carrier should fall when tackled from behind, there is massive clipping going on).

Yes i agree.

Tackles in fifa are not good. I want players to fall easier when the opponent tackles them. In fifa that, is very difficult. And its a general problem of player physics.

One of the videos talks about how they improved both those things.

Re: Fifa 15: Any info yet?

i hope fifa 15 will have slower gameplay comparing to fifa 14.

something more like pes speed.

Re: Fifa 15: Any info yet?

That would kill FIFA I am afraid. Pace and game speed are what remind me of old PES games strangely. Action for action. It's fun for the majority of fans. Maybe tad slower, but wouldn't expect radical change.

Funny how times changed, as I remember opposite thing in the past. FIFA being more of simulation and PES being the more fun game. Now it's opposite way round .

And yeah NG FIFA blows my mind everytime I play it. Can't compare it to CG :(.

Re: Fifa 15: Any info yet?

I say it every year - I want more CPU fouls this year :-)

Re: Fifa 15: Any info yet?

FIFA 11 on PS3 or FIFA 11 on PC? As FIFA 11 on PC is one heck of a ride. It's very fast. Compared to that FIFA 14 is played at snail pace .

(but yeah I did play FIFA 11 for like 2 years in a row)

Re: Fifa 15: Any info yet?

Player vs Player and as usual people use tricks and lofted through balls. Jesus, will we ever get to see normal players .

Re: Fifa 15: Any info yet?

I'm just amazed people get any enjoyment playing like that. The one online game I played in Fifa 14 had the guy just spamming assisted lofted through balls for every single pass. I just don't see how that's fun.

Re: Fifa 15: Any info yet?

Can't conclude anything from that. E3 videos look shit every year.

Indeed it's not, but you should blame the player, not the game* as there are ways to play properly and they are even more rewarding than using the exploits. Surely they're more difficult, but they are there and just need to be practiced/mastered to be effective.
Then, of course, also the guys at EA need to get overpowered lofted through balls addressed, auto-tackle removed, stamina fixed... Never said that FIFA 14 is perfect, indeed FIFA 12 was better IMO.

*as opposes to what KSI says when he scores from the infamous kick-off glitch: he insists that it's the game that is to blame, not the player exploiting it (so, in other words, as far as a glitch is in the game it's fine to exploit it).

Re: Fifa 15: Any info yet?

KSI is a merchant for long time now and I liked him before he got on EA payroll.

Now watching more of his brother vids (ComedyShortsGamer).

Re: Fifa 15: Any info yet?

I used to like his "FIFA funnies" videos and his FIFA 12 R2D1 (despite having seen the kick-off glitch for the very first time in that series).
Now I watch his videos from time to time, especially the uni tour, as I find his way of overreacting to everything quite good for having a laugh.

Re: Fifa 15: Any info yet?

OMG EA !!

I want Champions League a Europe League licences in game .... I want more stadiums... I want more balls, adboards, scoreboards etc. ......................... Want I a lot? No ... so come on you lazy bastards and DO IT EA!!!!!!

Re: Fifa 15: Any info yet?

Yet it looks like the guys at EA listen to him and to people like him (pace, pace, pace, overpowered moves, sweaty goals) way more than to people actually wanting to improve the game.
