Re: Fifa 15: Any info yet?

FIFA Manager was bound to get scrapped sooner or later. They didn't stand a chance vs Football Manager (not that many stand a chance here ).

But if they did something like this in main FIFA game. That would indeed be interesting ;).

Re: Fifa 15: Any info yet?

Rutter did well not to laugh at the guy who seemed incapable of understanding the difference between AI parking the bus and playing online against a human, he seemed a bit dense there!
That guy is an ultimate team player. So all he cares about is winning and buying packs. His response to 1st touches while playing says it all actually.I like that EA make ultimate gameplay different to the real game even Rutter mentioned that.

Yh we can dream and it's might be true.I'd expect some sort of training in career mode.

Yeah he did come across as the kind of UT, all assisted control, sprint abusing, lobbed throughball playing, arcade gamer type. Basically everything I despise about the modern Fifa gamer.

Re: Fifa 15: Any info yet?

So that's good to hear what Rutter said. They are basing their works on real football games, FUT is different mode and everyone should be aware of that. He made that clear here ;).

2 different games. 2 different playing styles ;).

It could be easy to fall with a man words, and we all know marketing and promises how work in this world, but i very like what EA is doing, and I hope they make a very good football game, at least worth the price asked for.

Re: Fifa 15: Any info yet?

Gotta say, the lighting improved massively. They nailed night lighting (show on that IGN interview), looks so real from afar.

Re: Fifa 15: Any info yet?

I think Rutter was very careful with his answer. No sciprting in online play, but notice the way he treads around Player v CPU...suggests there is indeed scripting there.

Still, good of him to be so open. As opposed to Konami would won't even show a picture of their gameplay.

Re: Fifa 15: Any info yet?

Fair play to Rutter, as for the other guy. I wanna give him a slap, he just has one of those faces....

Oh and in other news, so cant wait for Fifa 15 :))

Re: Fifa 15: Any info yet?

YouTube - FIFA 15 - Gameplay Hands-On & Interview w/ EA Sports!!

Here is player vs Rutter interview not posted here yet. Some interesting things coming out of Rutter mouth (about scripting/momentum for example).

If he is able to accept that, it shows how EA attitude is changing. ;)

But he didn't accept it, he categorically denied there was any "scripting". Fair play to the interviewer who refused to suck up to Rutter and just accept his carefully worded answers but it was a shame he didn't change the wording of his questioning when it was so easy for Rutter to deny specifically "scripting". I'd like to hear him try to deny that there is any underhand manipulation of various parameters at certain times, rather than the game sticking fairly to stats, its laws of physics, equally balanced luck, etc for the full duration of every match. Out-and-out scripting may not exist, but it's very easy for them to affect the likelihood of certain outcomes by altering some parameters mid match, and the sliders (particularly acceleration) demonstrate just how easy it is modify a single parameter by a small amount to effectively disable a team.

Re: Fifa 15: Any info yet?

People just remember their losses more than when they actually score late. If they actually kept statistics it would show it evens out. What do they gain on adding "scripting" online except for a lot of new potential bugs?

Proof of scripting in real life from some statistics of time of goals scored:
0-15 11.8%
16-30 13.6%
31-45 17.3%
46-60 17.5%
61-75 15%
76-90 24.7% <- obvious scripting end of game.

Re: Fifa 15: Any info yet?

Last 5 minutes are always longer for each half because of injury time, thus more chance you'll concede/score in those periods, that's all it is IMO.

Re: Fifa 15: Any info yet?

That is not scripting, it's taking it easy end of game, where most mistakes can be made really. You can get over confident that opponent won't score. Always play to the very end and be 100% concentrated. A lot of players can't do that. ;)

Re: Fifa 15: Any info yet?

Looking very interesting now :)

I still don't see a difference if normal and FUT gameplay however. Seems the same to me.

there is not such thing as scripting but boost on one side or drop quality on another side is defo there...dont tell me that Real Madrid could forget how to pass from a minute to another agains Basel where after this Basel easily win the game?

mostly i play offline with friends

Re: Fifa 15: Any info yet?

Offline is different beast bro. Rutter never spoke about that, but you could "tell" from his talking that it's there for CPU AI. He cannot do that for human vs human, but he can do it for human vs CPU.

That's the whole thing. Plus the interviewer is indeed FUT player and most FUT players say "scripting" when they lose or hit bar/post etc a lot on assisted/semi settings. The only thing I could say that falls under "handicap" is when u play full manual online, you might get the player switching problem. Game would NEVER allow you to select proper defender unless goal is scored and you switch too late.

You could see that happen on FluorescentFIFA videos.

Can't remember the ep. number though, but I commented on that on his video xD.

YouTube - Road To Manual Mastery Ep.4 - "Soccerball" | FIFA 13 Manual Controls

Hoping they fixed that on NG FIFA as even on FIFA 14 this happens.

Btw the goal BVB scored there is something they said in IGN video. The ball after tackle goes to opponent. Now with possession tackles I hope such thing will get limited.

umm offline with FRIENDS...that is human vs human bro. and there is some funky stuffs, we play whole leagues with my mates...its like u get some support from the cpu, or another team skill drop for some reason as a said earlier. its there online aswell.
and the 45. minute goal is a glitch, appears to often

just use the analog stick to switch between players, you can select whatever player whenever you want

Re: Fifa 15: Any info yet?

Like I said, it doesn't work at times, online (and it's not lag either).

Not that it matters. It's really just nitpicking. :P

Re: Fifa 15: Any info yet?

Really hate E3, on the one hand I'm desperate for news on the new Fifa and thrilled we got some really good early news about the game (making excellent progression IMO) and on the other hand it makes it bloody hard to go back to playing Fifa14 for another 3 months!

Re: Fifa 15: Any info yet?

The last video about cutscene, ball rolling, Messi skills ecc. was very exciting. Producer (soccergaming.com) confirmed about pitch deforming is only graphic. They can't manage involving ball, players or anything else.

Re: Fifa 15: Any info yet?

and they shouldnt include none of that. at least these type of elements

- bigger mudd or water splash on the pitch would slow down passes, reduces bounces etc some slippy animation for players sometimes who doesnt have much agility

Re: Fifa 15: Any info yet?

It does that. When playing in rain it definitely slows down faster and makes the ball more slippery.

However, I can't see how they would implement ball bounces off dents in the field left by slide tackles/boots. The NG consoles aren't that powerful to use real-time physics...
