It's because there are again too FIFA's in one game!
There's the balanced, great game you play when you do a friendly exhibition match, and there's the scripted, ramped up, hyper, precision-perfect, man-hulk AI in Career Mode.
It made me sell FIFA11 because I couldn't be arsed playing an offline mode that spends all it's time working exploits against you, and it's doing it again in this. Suppose it'll teach me not to buy into EA's bullshit again. I thought sliders might be able to do something this year, but fuck me, Bolton Wanderers, in the December rain, with pass error set to 80, and they were spraying it around like Barcelona with nearly 90% pass accuracy. I never saw them misplace one pass.
It's not fun when you have an attack from a corner, the AI scrambles a wild clearance while facing their own goal, 60 yards in the opposite direction, and it falls directly to a massive striker's foot. You then go to challenge him with two defenders, who BOTH bounce off his apparent hulk like frame, he runs in on goal unopposed, and lashes it in from 25 yards. Realistic.
