Cesc, who's your second top scorer? I see Carroll-Suarez, Hernandez-Rooney, Aguero-Tevez, but no other Arsenal player.

Weird to see Mata as Chelsea's top scorer too? who's their main ST? Torres still there?

Mata is the topscorer of Chelsea because both Torres and Drogba were injured for a very long time and they played with Sturridge, Di Maria and Mata up front ;)
 
Managed to buy Petr Cech in the last minute, wish I hadn't. He's been a f*cking nightmare! Let in a cheap goal in the last minute against Real Madrid in the first game of the season to make it end 2-2. Next game against Valencia he comes out on a cross, misses the ball and they score with a header and wins the game.
 
Any suggestions for a CM who can attack and defend, in the mold of Schweinsteiger? Ideally I'll be able to get him but he's quite expensive and I'm not sure I'll have the funds. Daniele De Rossi is the only other player like that I can think of.

ki celtic or kayal but not as good also lazio have a few dcent cm players
 
Jean of Sao Paulo is a very good DM/CM/AM (can also fill in at full back). Him & Alonso are my first choice central midfielders for my Madrid CM.

Has the engine trait, has a good shot, and doesn't cost much really - think I paid about £7m for him.
 
Started my 2nd season, spent 60mil and sold for 30 mil.

City's mercenaries, with the dissapointment of losing the title to Kenny Heroes tm decided to piss off to other clubs, so Tevez, Aguero and Silva all left for around 110mil in total. They hardly bought anyone else, as Adebayor was back playing for them. Rooney handed in a transfer request but got shot down and stayed at Utd. Guess they offered him a better contract. Fulham with their new owners are continuing their jan spending, 100mil this summer.

With Downing injured, and no other good LW's in my team I decided to buy a couple, one for 14mil and another for 9mil. Cabal? from Feyenoord for 14 and Pedro something or other for 9mil. Both good prospects in their early 20's Pedro especially looks like he will be the 1st teamer atm. Then with pre-season about to end the injuries started pilling up again, Carroll was already out for 6 months, Kuyt did his shoulder in and is out for 3 months, Bellamy pulled up for a 8 weeks so I was really light in attack. Bellamy seems to have really lost his pace, around the mid 70's now for speed and acceleration. Gerrard is slowing down aswell so my attack is really being blunted atm. The games played are showing this aswell, 1-1 draw for the Community Shield which was lost on penalties against City (atleast something for them to cheer about...), 1-0 win against Everton and a 0-0 against promoted Birmingham. If Suarez is topscorer with 3....noone else has managed a goal so far. So with transfer deadline day started I decided to try a buy a couple of young strikers, low 80's overall and under 23 y.o. Bid for 5 players with a few pulling out straight away, with money now running low (about 30mil) I decided to try and loan one player (who had 0 years and 0 months on his contract...) and buy the other. Managed to pull it off so now have 2 extra strikers who can also play on the wing for about 18mil. Can't remember their names, I prefer to sign unknowns (atleast to me) to keep it as "real" as possible.

Small issue popped up looking at my Career history, once again they haven't got a "winner" in the cup menu part. Instead it says "final" and you have to deduce by the amount of cup wins that season whether you won it or not. It's really really poor, and unbelievable that they though removing an overview with the actual trophies visible and replacing it with a broken dull menulist would be better!

Loaned him in Fifa 11, awesome player but didn't manage to buy him after 3 goals in 3 matches :(
 
Just played my first game in the CL. Celtic away in the rain. They are the best team I've played against, better than Barcelona. They destroyed me and won 4-1. Some CPU teams seem to get a massive boost sometimes. I couldn't get the from them, every time I tackled they just pushed me aside and retrieved the ball. I missed a penalty also wich I have no idea how to take properly. It goes in the middle every time, and if I hold the left stick for too long it goes wide.
 
Hold the stick for only as long as you power up the shot, then as he's running up to the ball tap the direction you're aiming at 2-3 times, quick taps, that's how I do it and I almost never hit it wide, at worst I power up too much and miss that way.

In the Arena I think it even shows you a target, doesn't it? It did in FIFA11, anyway. That's a good way to practice.

Yes that's my main issue with this game atm, that lesser sides can get these crazy boosts and play like they are super men. But then again, all teams can have days where everything works. Will have to wait and see if they are as dominating at La Rosaleda :)

Not sure about just in the arena but in practice penalty mode you can press select I think it is to bring up the marker thingy to help with practice.

I was joking for me its pretty real eg..

I just played Man City at home and drew 1-1 tight game.

Then I played Everton away in league cup and they scored 85mins to make it 1-0. I then scored in 90mins LMAO. 1-1 for Extra time. I then scored on 105misn and won the game 2-1.

I then played Liverpool away in league and lost 3-0 or 4-0? I cant recall lol but I got hammered. They were amazing.

Then in Europa league I won 3-1 at home to Brondby even though they went 1-0 up after 10mins as I was farting about.

So, these scores and the way the matches played it out has been very realsitic.

I have noticed though that in cup games and further stages of cup games such as quarter semi finals etc..the CPU seems to boost up their ability no matter the team.
 
What I do for penalties is just set my power then count to 5 while holding where I want to place the shot. I practiced it in arena of course, to see how fast the target moves.

But I think you'd be wasting his attacking habilities if you want him to defend a lot. I got him for 9.5, if you're lucky you could get him cheaper, I dunno which season you are, he might still be growing or something.

I think the speed of the moving target thingy varies from player to player, depending on his stats, can anyone else confirm what I'm saying? Maybe it's a form thing, I dunno, I guess it's the penalties stat.
 
No as far as I know, the speed the target moves from left to right let's say as you hold the left stick button is the same for all players during penalties and so something you can really master.

The speed the focus/concentration thing moves from left to right though (where you should hit it in the middle green part) defers from player to player and depends on their penalty attributes and is used for 'composure/nervousness'.

That's what I meant, the "focus/concentration thing".
 
ANyone seen/bought Gaurado? Mexican winger from Deportivo. He looked good stats and is quite fast but he hasnt been that great for me but I paid 9-10million for him.

Funny thing is Id never heard much off him IRL so I googled him...and well LOL. I found he done an online sex webcam thing with some bird. Must be normal for fast wingers these days..Ahsley young et al.

@Perfectio, I see. Well yeah that thing definitely moves faster the lower the player's penalty attribute.
 
So there was me sitting pretty 2nd place in the league with Arsenal 1st (we swap round a few times and it's very close), final of the league cup coming, 5th round of the FA Cup coming, 2nd round of the Europa League coming (home to Porto in the 1st leg), I'm thinking hmm maybe it's a bit too easy on Professional, going to have to see about world class again, play the home leg against Porto and they absolutely batter me, 3-0 down in 27 minutes, 5-0 down by 70, manage to finally score once from a corner to make it 5-1 going into the 2nd leg, so I'm almost certainly out, but if it was on world class I would have lost 20-0! I think until I raise the average of my first 11 (currently about 72) I just can't compete at world class yet.
 
Therein lies the problem with FIFA. I'm Wigan at the moment and (on pro level) every game is 0-0, 1-0 or 1-1. Bumped it up to WC and lost 6-0 to fulham. I might prefer WC as at least the cpu took proper shots, rather than running into the box and dribbling it around... Annoying. Got pes arriving today as I'm about to give up on it.
 
I wouldn't really say I see a problem, against lesser teams I am comfortable, against the big teams (with 80+ players in every spot) I struggle significantly, Chelsea are about the only exception but that's mostly because their left flank is devoid of pace now as mentioned previously I'm able to exploit it (also their backline is slow so I adjust my frontline to be of pace rather than height).
 
I think he misread your post and thought you HAD bumped it up to World Class (which is what I play without any real problems by the way but assisted controls) and that's why you got battered. That's my guess. Hence why he thinks it's a problem.
 
Can't remember the last time I had this much fun with Fifa, just want to play it non stop! Too bad the girlfriend doesn't approve :)

Just put together a great run in the league. Three straight wins and fluent football. Finished it off with a win in the CL at home against PSG. I've also managed to rotate the squad a little bit wich is nice. Who knows, I might even make the grumpy Ben Arfa satisfied soon. But one thing that put damper on the mood is Dzudzak, injured in training and out for six months with a broken fibula. Enrique is already out for like six more weeks and Sakho as well.

They never approve man, and if she does, she should be your wife, not your girlfriend anymore.

Zaha's on fire with me (just in case anyone needs a fast ST and wants to try him out), and it's like he has a Trait that says "Links up perfectly with Ogude", it's really nice to see those 2 combine and open space for each other.
