Fifa 11 Xbox 360/PS3

I thought they'd sorted the transfers to make it more realistic?

First 2 I saw when I started a career were Chelsea signing Fabio on loan from United and Kieron Gibbs on loan from Arsenal! That would never, ever happen. Ever.
 
What they say and what is actual are usually two very polar opposites. They said CM was a brand new manager mode engine yet we're seeing the same bugs being reported on the official forums such as overly harsh sackings, lack of promotion warchests etc. etc.
 
Guys, I couldn't plug my XBox 360 to the internet anyway, but can you tell me what does the game look like without any patch or update? too bug will be found or still amazing game and perfect coz most of you talking about that patches fixed many things like player response, some trapping, AI less physic, AI less agressive and smoother gameplay and animations...thanks:))

I disagree, when he catches him, it's actually his kneee that hits Ben Arfa's standing leg. Problem is, when De Jong slid in for the challenge, Ben Arfa's injured leg was actually in mid-air. It's just unfortunate that Ben Arfa placed it on the ground just as De Jong's momentum took him into him. De Jong doesn't change position when he goes into tackle, so he can't have 'swiped' him given that Ben Arfa's leg wasn't on the ground when he challenged for the ball.

I understand De Jong is in charge of his own momentum indirectly, but this is a normal challenge in the Premier League. It's just that the outcome isn't normal. I feel for Ben Arfa, but the reaction towards De Jong is way over the top. It's a shame because the statistics show 2 broken legs as a result of De Jong's tackling, but neither tackles were all that terrible.

Furthermore, i believe you could slow down most challenges and pick faults with them.

The more i play the more stuff i see that i have never seen in a football game before

I was playing BAP as 1 player last night and absolutely skinned the CPU down the line and scored from it but the replay was to long and cut the build up out :(. Its gotta be the best thing i have done especially as it was against the AI

EA are shit at making and choosing replays
 
Didn't someone say music/chants don't take effect in ongoing career modes? Not true, the GNR track I added as a test is playing during the intro to my career mode league match!
 
God this is a love/hate game!

There's so many problems with it and so many things EA have done half arsed, but when you get those great matches (few and far between I know) it just brings a smile to my face. Is it worth buying new? Probably not, but hey its only 30 quid, I'd spend more on a night out and it wouldn't last as long.

Is anyone using the manual player selection option but still finding that your players sometimes switch automatically to another player without pressing a button?
 
Really dont get the highlights?!

They are shit again this year. But they have that match highlight section, where you can look into and see most of the key attacks on goal. So why are the actual highlights shown after a game so limited when they are obviously monitoring them anyway?

I sccored 3 goals and there were many chances in the game, end of game highlights, only the 3 goals shown. But I go into the match highlight section and it has all of the key chances?! this happens all of the time.

On one game one goal was scored and that was the only thing shown in the end of game highlights?! but they had the other chances in the actual match highlights sections! :ROLL:

Just silly, I suppose at least you do hae an option of seeing the highlights somehow now. But a bit dissapointing that they call alot of them by the keeper saves, instead of the people taking the shots...doesn't make it easy to see the highlight you want to see.
 
Ii is weird.

I put this on last night before 7 a side, played Oberhausen with Munich and i couldnt break them down at all. I've tweaked custom tactics to give as much reality as possible. Even with Robben playing i was finding i was being closed down quickly around the box by 2 or three defenders. Their whole team sat deep but also closed off passing lanes which was quite impressive but frustrating too in a good way. I then played them with Liverpool and with only one of a few chances in the game, Cole danced to the edge of the box and chipped in a lovely ball for Torres to power home, ill upload it later, it was lovely.

But when i got in later it was late and i threw it on, played some lower league games and it felt like the players where skaiting a lot for some reason. Now i dunno if i was just really tired, and playing this on a 42 inch hd tv means your eyes have to be alert so it may just have been tiredness. they werent great matches either.

I would like to agree with you that he didn't try to do it on purpose and I am a fan of crunching midfielders in general but his reputation is becoming that of a hazard on the pitch.

I used to always have De Jong in my Manager Mode team as well before he went to Man City because of his style but even Dirk Kuyt was giving him an earful for breaking Stu Holden's leg in a friendly vs the USA. I don't think he even apologized in what was a meaningless friendly.
 
Getting more frustrated with the highlights now. Just epitomises the game really. They have the chance to really make it perfect, I have been moaning about highlights for ages now.

I am no programmer or anything, but they have done all of the hardwork with the match highlight section. Literally nearly every highlight I could think of so far has been put into this section. Surely it must be simple just to make all of these highlights appear at the end of the game in order automatically?! that's all they need to do and then it would be more or less perfect. Then every time the highlights go through you get a different angle maybe to vary it a little.

I just don't see why they didn't do it? really annoying.

I know it sounds a bit silly because they now have the match highlight option. But the automatic highlights at the end of the match really add something to the game I think....anyway :ROLL:

That transfer thing is a gripe of mine. Getting 1.5 mil in transfer funds for getting promoted seemed a little low.

HOWEVER, it also makes the game harder and I had to spend literally 2 hours buying and selling to get a somewhat functional Leeds team to 3 stars for my Premier league campaign. It's honestly the most fun I've had with the game since 2008.

My largest transfer is Michael Bradley (Stamina, Aggression, Long Range Passing) from the US for 10 million. I was also able to bring in Kyle Naughton, Kevin Phillips, Cristian Erikson (this guy will be awesome in this game) from Ajax, Chris Eagles, Livermore and a few others and still have 9 million left for the January window.

I can't win any games yet but my first 4 games of the new season were Liverpool, Chelsea, Everton and Arsenal. It feels more realistic and I sure as hell hope I wouldn't win those games.

Give it time. I played through most of my 1st season as Leeds and couldn't really figure the game out until the end of the season. Now I am able to move past defenders, move the ball through the middle and one touch pass here and there with ease. There is a learning curve but when you work and work while 1 nil down to Chelsea and work a beautiful move to tie the match, you jump out of your seat. Plus if you add a good skill player or two the game completely changes.

Best game in years...

Dont get me wrong i love the game myself. I just couldnt work out whether the players were really skatey and i never picked it up or wether tiredness was effecting my judgement. I find Fifa hard to play when im knackered.

How do upload my gameface for my VP again?

I went to make my VP on the section in the game, but I cant see the option to transfer my face in?
 
You have to create your VP first (just give him a generic face), then you get the option to download and add your gameface afterwards. Which presumably you've already created on the football world website?

I also suggest remaking your gameface - they've upgraded gameface and maybe it's just me but my VP looks a little better this time. Still not quite right but my laptop is old and could be holding me back - anyone notice different results depending on the computer used?

Well I'm so pleased for those playing Career Mode coz

I STILL FECKING CAN'T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm seriously considering returning this piece of crap.

Getting NO feedback from EA at all. All I've heard is that Clubs is top of their list. Well that's just dandy. Seriously, this game should be recalled.

Tbh I havnt tried this. Is that the file that prompts you to download when you go to play online?
Next time I'm on ill try but seriously why are we left to do this shit. It should work out of the box.
It's not good enough and I'm sick of year on year of bugfested FIFA.

Yes this was confirmed last year post 10's shambolic release, Rutter posted in their forums that they're implementing a system for 11 which means they can tweak/fix some stuff in the game without requiring certified patches/updates.
