Might seem a bit silly but someone mentioned on the FIFA forum to that camera bug link about trading standards?

Surely they have a case if things that were promised haven't been touched...

what do u expect? its EA. what does EA strive apon? profit. and where does most of the profit comes from? 13 year old fifa fans with their two button assisted controls.

I wont be surprised if EA introduce a rewind feature in fifa 12. That will make fifa 12 sell like hot cakes
 
Well it finally arrived this morning from GAME so well done GAME, i was fearing friday.

Heard of the patch so put it on without signing in and played a few games. Felt like the demo to me, thre is something slightly different to the gameplay compared to the demo but im guessing thats just a tightening up of the gameplay.

Played Sheff Wed in a friendly against Liverpool away and noticed the early pressure from the cpu, but hardly no shots, then second half i started to take over (as a prem team should) Gerrard scored a lovely goal after a Kuyt one two, before that though the keeper made a few lovely goal scrambling saves, really impressed with the keepers, but more in a bit.

Anyway went into custom tactics and checked Wednesday and disappointingly its back to last year, so i ramped there shots up to 90+ and now they take a shot if an opportunity arrives. Played them again at home and they were more defensive and less commited to attack which was nice, there keeper made a nice stop or two from long range.

Then i played Real vs leverkusen and recreated the demo to test, same ball, stadium, everything, seemed fine.

Then i logged in and patched the game, and played the exact same games and hand on heart at the moment i havent noticed anything regarding gamespeed. If anything it felt a little slower. But i dont know if all this is just a massive Placebo.

But the keepers, man they are good. they were limited in 10 but here they react, its wonderful to watch. I hit across into the box and the cpu headed it out to the corner of the are where Joe Cole, on his wrong foot, smashed a volley which went across the box, Torres threw himself at it missed it, but it hit the defender behind and deflected toward the top corner. the keeper adjusted brilliantly to tip over the bar, it was superb!

So im impressed so far but need to explore it more.

Please do check and show us a photo or vid or something. I've trawled through every menu in CM and it isn't there. If you haven't actually looked and are guessing then you're in for a shock.

The passing and game speed is DEFINITELY faster. I haven't seen anyone who has played a before and after who disagrees. I think all the GCs came to that conclusion separately.

If the formation that was being played wasn't 7-0-3 then it was 4-3-3 uber defensive with pressure being held constantly while the 3 upfront were the human players.

One big change I noticed in the post patch, is that the trapping and first touches have been brought back to Fifa 10, (almost perfect every time)

I really can't believe EA would do this...
 
Question about Career Mode - Player/Manager. Is it not possible to control a real player? Do I have to create a player? Let's say I wanna be Arshavin, is that not possible?

Hmm you're right it's not there either in pre match settings or in menu settings, surely it takes the speed from the main game's settings though so it's no biggy?

i would of thought this too.

Seriously did Fifa 10 have as many different opinions as Fifa 11 does?

Some people think its Fifa 10.5, I've seen one guy on here who thinks its the worse in the current gen, and others are praising it loads. Suppose this is the norm. Truly a game where you have to play yourself to realise if you like it or not!

Does anybody else feel that the demo was significantly slower than the full game? I mean slower in terms of player and ball movement. I played the demo again today and I still feel a definite slower pace to the game.

Playing me as Wigan v Villa on slow/world class post patch as I played this one a couple of times pre-patch.

Speed seems fine, passing speed is good, little improved which is good.

Pro Passing + Personality Plus in evidence, Downing missed a sitter as it came quickly to his right foot resulting in him shanking it wide, their fullbacks trying long diagonals from time to time but on the whole they try to keep their passing fairly short, can burn either fullback with N'Zogbia no problem as long as I time my burst right, James McCarthy and Diame in Wigan's midfield are superb if you use them right, considering they're only 72/73 or something it's hopeful to those of us using lesser teams, I've used McCarthy's long passing in particular to open up gaping holes for N'Zogbia to utilise.

Dunne made a completely typical Dunne challenge on the edge of the box, ie he hopelessly mistimed a standing tackle to give me a very dangerous free kick.
 
Finally got it after UKMail decided they wanted to give me some kind of evil thought enema - hopefully will play Clubs tonight and be able to make a lasting judgement. Manual feels good, definitely the best manual has ever felt in FIFA. Haven't meddled with assisted, heart can't take it.
