Fifa 11 Xbox 360/PS3

Going to grab it tuesday possibly. If not I'll get it friday. About to buy a new 360s since my 360 decided to just stop working one day...a month after my PC did the same!
Lookin forward to playing the full version. I do wish I knew more people in my city/online that played regularly though, I was never able to find a club online that actually played, or ANY manualor even semi games.

My phone has become a laptop of sorts for me.

Well you picked the perfect day, didn't you? (lol I couldn't resist)

I've gone back to playing the WC game after having enough of the demo, and yes sprint speed is a major difference. For some reason they really toned-down the difference between sprint speed and jog speed, although remember the demo is 6 week old code, so it very well could be adjusted in the final release.

Personally I'd like to see it slightly adjusted as I felt speed was a little undervalued in the demo and I found that too often defenders recovered and caught me from behind after I left them embarrassed by a skill move.

Maybe one of the those (lucky bastards) with the full game can comment?

Haha, it's all good.

Yeah going back and forth between the 2 and can really tell the difference in sprint speed. I have a funny feel, EA did this to satisfy all those who were complaining about speed abusers...

Kinda sad it had to affect the AI so drasticially :/

Cant fucking wait till friday.

So,weheres everybody getting there game from?

I'm getting it on friday in asda/tescos £25 deal.

i am on holiday in the USA atm and i am back on the 2nd October

i will probably buy this on the way back from the airport

is it deffo £25 at asda? as i will deffo buy a copy on the way back from the 24 hour stores

Been playing the full version with a mate all night.

I wasn't keen on the demo, much preferred and enjoyed PES 2011 demo, despite being a FIFA fan for past 3 years.

I really enjoyed the matches tonight on FIFA 11, we both agreed how much better this is than FIFA 10.

You can properly let fly from distance and score some beauties

Only downside I felt was passing is still too slow

Found this on the official forums. Sounds almost too good to be true - can anyone confirm?

I am Anthony Williams, I work as a gametester and have been fortunate enough to get my hands on the latest build of Fifa 11. I'm suprised about some of the changes they've made to the full game from the demo.

Let's break the game down...

Passing: So I mentioned big changes... The big change is that they have sort of mixed Assisted and Semi-Assisted and named it Pro-Passing, so it's either Pro-Passing or Manual you can choose between now.
The passes are also less forgiving, and you can't just tap the pass button anymore if you want the ball to reach the player. You also need to aim a little with the analogue stick to hit the player (just like in manual, but you don't need to be as accurate).

Pressure: Many complained about this in the demo. The pressure from the AI is really realistic, they try to save their stamina now and don't chase you around for 90 min. I noticed, when having the ball in my defense zone, that the attackers were just walking, just half-heartedly trying to chase you. It was first when I got into the midfield that the pressure started, but still not like 3 people sprinting after you. Feels spot on now imo.

Dribbling: Some people was talking about how it was impossible to dribble through anything with normal jogging or skilled dribbling without using skill moves, this has also been tweaked. I was able to take advantage of messi's fast close control dribbling, unlike in the demo.

Shielding: Also been a subject sometimes here on the forums... The shielding is more useful now, defenders can't just tackle you easily while being shielded. It still does happen of course, but it's more... realistic now.

Conclusion: Fifa is fantastic this year, the perfect pace, the passing, the smart pressure, the dribbling and the shots..
If you are a fan of football, then do not even think of buying any other football game than Fifa this year, this is as close as you get to simulation.

Just got 360s, and noticed EB was selling the game already! A bit pissed as I'm broke til next week. Ah well, I'll get it soon. Sounds like the game has improved a bit from the demo, would be nice, I was impressed with the demo and anything beyond that would be great in my opinion.

Is there a thread to exchange Live gamertags or anything? Want to see if I can meet up with some people online for some good games/clubs.

FFS! He promised (yet again) this was fixed :(

Why lie Marcel?

Why lie Marcel?

Seems I spoke in haste:

@NovembreCharlie Rooney was out for 34 days and Hernandez for 84!! Much, much better.
Placebo_obecalP

@Dave797 were those injuries suffered during matches or messages received during training?
@Placebo_obecalP both in game picked up from genuine tackles. The Hernandez one he went off for treatment and never came back :)

Also:
Holy smokes, are the Dev team feeling ok, we get proper injuries in #FIFA11! My best CDM is injured for 52 days!!!

Sorry Marcel, but you can't blame me, you did ignore my PM on this after Nick's handson didn't you?

Excellent news for us manager freaks isn't it? Can't bloody wait to start!

Does anyone know if the chants work if you input them after you've started a career mode?

Full XP editing at last. Still no full editing including hair styles and the like, but at least there's no more lowering player stats in some traits to increase them elsewhere.

So from the bits and pieces I've been reading from people who've already got the full game the AI is massively improved in the final build. Seems like they actually pass the ball around now and try to keep possession occasionaly instead of going gung-ho all out attack. If that's true then I'm a very happy man!

Yeah my main issue's seem to be fixed or improved so am looking forward to getting it this week. :D

The demo really doesn't do the game justice if the reviews and impressions are accurate.

You know this Creation Centre addition, am I right in thinking it will be possible to download other people's creations and put them into your own game? A bit like the Fight Night feature with created boxers?

i have the full game, hehe, only see some things, and some matchs, the atmosfere its very good than real football,i see some bugs, but its smallers, and casual,i think ea sport to be fixed like past year, other thing, the stats are editable, like PES :)

I've seen that Fodder007 off the official forums gave it a 9.5/10 in his blog. I can't say anything really because he's a Gamechanger too and he is entitled to his opinion - it's fistbitingly frustrating though. It reeks of getting your review out nice and early and being positive to please the people who are likely to click his link.

I'm thinking 8/10, rounding up from the 7 3/4 I'm currently veering towards. FIFA 10 was probably a 7. The video game aspects of it are undeniably polished and the Career Mode does seem a lot better from what minimal time I've had with it.

But there are still fundamental changes that need to be made for the game to feel like football. Yes, the same old things like the ball speed being way too slow,

www.easports.com/media/play/video/37839131 = the lack of momentum when turning (look at the reaction times and momentum change of the defender here FFS!!)

,the importance of left and right footedness, the eternal lack of space due to the relentless pressing and autodefending, the inability to operate within extremely tight spaces as you can in PES...

Also the first touch system only seems to apply to driven lobs rather than being a fundamental part of the game. The pro passing seems more inaccurate with lower league teams, but it does seem to be more of a problem for MY team than for the opposition. The AI in BAP/CM: Player seems to be lower for my team than the opposition - again. My team just seems to run into their defence or make entirely the wrong passes, including pissing about with the ball from blatant crossing positions; the opposition seem to be pulling off all the right passes, dribbles, roulettes, crosses. I'm the defensive midfielder in a 4-3-3; why do I have to carry my team's attack? I'm really unhappy about this particular issue because it was something EVERYONE complained about with BAP for years now. It ruins what would have been a very playable mode for me.

I've watched that video think 15 times lol I can see where your coming from because it does look like he has basically just done full stop brake and turned. However when you turned, the ball has left your feet a rather good distance. Plus I'm assuming your playing on legendary arent you? So if it was that easy to turn someone, it would be easy to dribble your way through the team. I get what your saying though man but I don't see this is an fundemantal flaw or a game breaker. Nothing to get anrgy about. Hopefully fixed for fifa 12.

The weaker foot thing only affects shooting in my opinion. Should affect dribbling too. Dribbling out of tight spaces? Hmm, hard one to call. I think the dribbling has been made harder to reduce the arcade effect e.g running through the whole team with one player.

Fifa 11 is not perfect mate, and the gripes you have with it, we all do. All want it to be realistic as possible. I think EA are heading in the right direction though, maybe by Fifa 13-14, it will have a full sim mode. But i think the gripes aren't enough for you to stop enjoying the game.

It's a symptom of the fundamental problem with the game. The ball went a long way because it was supposed to - that has zero impact on the validity of this incident. The problem here is how instantly the defender stopped sprinting - SPRINTING - right, and pushed away to run the other way. If the defender was jogging or jockeying then it'd make sense - I have to slow from a sprint, he doesn't. But that wasn't the case at all.

This isn't trivial or a side issue that isn't a gamebreaker. It's endemic of the whole reason why the game is a pressure fest and why the passing speed is being deliberately made too slow to artificially make it hard to create space. There's barely any momentum in the game. This is a fundamental flaw. I'm not going to enjoy the game for the sake of it - if I enjoy it, I'm going to enjoy it because it feels like it connects to what I want from a football game. I don't mind issues or bugs, within reason - but the whole spirit of a game has to, in my mind, match the spirit of the game.

Romagnoli,

I noticed your comments on BAP about the team opposition playing better than you team AI...

I have been playing BAP exclusively now since Fifa 09, which Fifa WC being my latest. Firstly, what difficulty to you have it set to? I noticed in Past Fifas, you have to set it to World Class or Legendary to get equal AI. In Fifa 10 I was playing as Ashley Young and Aston Villa and on World class I almost won the Prem. I then set it to legendary the following year and finished like 6th, (quite accurate!)

So my question... is it only on Fifa 11 that you notice the disparity between your AI and the opponent's AI? Also, do you notice your teammates AI using skill moves at all?

Both Legendary and World Class have been tried. My team were less 'intelligent' on both. I noticed my team use some tricks, just not common sense stuff like, y'know, crossing the ball into the box!

We seem to win plenty of games when I sim or skip matches, and lose or draw when I play. So, unless I'm THAT bad, something is off when going from one to the next.

Guys great news

This year you can change players statistics in edit mode :BOP:
Seems many CM and CF has overated ball controll . I corrected it ;)

Guys ,i have German version and when i will change(Delete game) to English version - can i use old save from Ger to Eng version ?

It's a pity that the vast, vast majority views we hear out of the gamechangers are completely neglectful of such issues. It's time for the gamechangers to step up - because so far, if any impartial, external observer was to state what the gamechanger programme (not that it's really been announced as such) has achieved for FIFA it would probably be fair to say it's primarily a fantastically clever PR stunt - which is ridiculous considering the amount of effort at least some of the gamechangers have put in to making this game better.

Whether it is that EA aren't listening to you guys or not, I really am finding the lack of eagerness that some of the gamechangers have to actually use their leverage to put their foot down depressing. Two of the largest manual proponents in the community are amongst the numbers and they are satisfied with the current situation? The whole point is that if EA aren't providing the right change, the gamechangers SHOULD say it because their reputations ARE powerful enough to make it hurt for EA.

Why do many gamechangers' reviews seem to be verbal handjobs?

Last year they managed to shift the blame to EA for the game not being what they had played in the preview tests - this time there is no excuse as they are talking about final copies. Dangerous game to play.
