Fifa 11 Xbox 360/PS3

Really stupid question probably here but can I download the demo when it comes out in a couple days even though I don't have Xbox Live? Or do I need to sign up?
 
Just made my Japanese Xbox live account they even gave me that free month of gold for signing up lol.
It will let me play the demo for at least a day without worrying wether to try the PES demo and having no comparrisons to influence any game decisions.

You need XBOX Live gold to download the demo on Wednesday, if you've never had gold before, you'll get a free month upon signup, which will suffice.
 
Does anyone know what leagues have been thrown out of the game? Because on the official homepage they announced 28 leagues including the new russian league. But in FIFA 10 we had 32 leagues WITHOUT the russian league.That means, they have thrown out 5 leagues and added 1. What leagues are gone? What's about the greece league? Rumors said that it is in...

Pretty much sums up what a fluff feature it is............If you want error on your passing (something Pro Passing is supposed to do) you need to go manual and make the mistakes yourself. So what the f$%k does pro passing actually do then?! Seeing as it's obvious from the videos that it doesn't have enough error when not weighting the pass correctly, it doesn't offer directional error!

That message is nothing more then a polite "F#%K OFF".
 
Anyone has an idea about the number of fouls per game? I still think they won't get to realistic numbers until they make the midfield a little more crowded and with slightly less responsiveness so you could make standing tackles more frequently that result in fouls.
 
Great, so you can put it onto full manual, just like last year, meanwhile everyone else online just sticks it straight onto ping-pong mode and roasts your arse.

And of course, playing career mode against cpu will be such a balanced affair, with you slogging it out in manual mode, as the cpu pings it around in it's usual EA pixel-perfect shite. It's the worst 1-player game I've ever played and sounds like it will retain the crown this year.

I'm tired of their bullshit claims. The thing is, these gold-diggers ain't gonna change shit in their game til sales go down a notch.

The sheer fact that this game looks like a carbon copy of its most recent predecessors is outrageous, I'm seriously debating whether they deserve my 59 Euro or not this time around (WC 2010 surely wasn't worth that much).

Seriously though, they have been soooo bad this year with marketing and the community. The Gamerbase roadshows were good but if they completely ignore feedback what is the point in them?

One of Rutters' first interviews i remember him saying, we didn't want to put things in the game just for the back cover/marketing, we wanted them to affect the game. Anyone here convinced they have done that with Pro Passing and PP+ ?

I think FIFA has gone COD. Once revolutionary and promising in every way, and the moment you'd think they were going to raise the bar, they blatently didn't. Milk the cow, make the game accesible for 12 year olds and screw the fanbase. Wanted to buy both footy titles this years but Rutters general attitude makes me reconsider. It's this kind of lazy and arrogant attitude that made Konami lose the plot and I have a feeling EA are moving in the same direction....

Well seeing as everyone who plays the PES demo is talking about going back and ditching FIFA looks like the sales will take a hit this time..
It does seem for all the advertising EA have rested on there laurels this year in most peoples eyes...

Very very few of them have played both demos. So, their opinion about fifa11 is based on the experience of those who played it at gamescom and so on.

I would not even make a final conclusion about the fifa/pes thing without making my self a clear view on both.
 
Is the demo on the asian market now? I made a Japanese account, but wasn't upgraded to gold. Embraceuk1, can you help me out with your account if the demo is there?

I'm still not sure, for all the things PES has nailed this year I still find that it lacks the polish and responsiveness to last me. And for FIFA it will depend how effective the p+/pp feels (don't play online) and if they have improved the defensive tactics enough to keep me going. I'm curious about the tactics, as they said they improved defensive AI but from the vids it looks like they haven't, so I'm hoping that they have also done it at a tactics level (so actually park the bus) and that the big difference will be visible when using that. That would make a big difference for me when playing the CM. Although it might be like everything else and the improvement/difference is minimal.

I'm expecting very little so I might be pleasantly surprised tommorow.

And that video is terrible, grrrr. Have they ever heard of keeping possesion?!
