Good to see some positive news about the AI. I'm really looking forward to playing this now.

FIFA 11 Producer Blog: Career Mode (focuses mainly on the transfer system)

so on world class you didnt feel like the A.I were cheating like on previous FIFA games?
Macheda to Valencia is a good loan, but Everton listing Rodwell is outrageous...oh well, I guess we'll always have to be somewhat forgiving of the computer.
I notice there's a kick-off time now. Does that mean all stadiums can now do night/day in accordance with the KO time? I hope so.
Just pre-ordered FIFA 11, got my code for the Creation Centre, shame you have to wait for the 2nd September to until you can enter the code on the website.

Yeah that would be huge for me - in the past it always feels like upping the difficulty only results in the CPU cheating rather than playing more intelligently.
Where did you pre-order it from?
Do you seriously think they've suddenly come up with a brand new AI model? It's exactly the same game as last year, but tweaked. No amount of tweaking will rescue the pile of horse shit they're stuck with for now. CPU play will be the usual cheat-fest...100% guaranteed.
winston, the AI is massively improved it has to be played to be believed on world class its far more of a challenge and less cheating.
Fifa is dead to winston.
No it's not. You haven't played it enough and have probably played only friendlies. The principles of the underlying AI model are unchanged. Only a completely new AI model will bring about a genuine step forward - that isn't going to happen on this generation of consoles.
Why pre-order if you live in the UK?
The last 2 or 3 years it's been about £20-25 on release day in supermarkets... The same will most likely happen this year so it's a waste of money to pre-order it IMO.
Fairs odds on a day early from Game or ShopTo as well. It's a fair bit more though, it is a little bit painful. At least I got a good price on F12010.

Anyone know if these are the real traits that'll be in FIFA 11? Someone claiming to be a data editor posted these on the official forums (not sure if they're meant to be all of them):
Whether or not these are authentic, couple questions regarding traits come to mind:
1. I wonder whether traits will add anything to the player or are traits only for identification/window-dressing purposes. Meaning, if a player has the "Flair" trait, what difference does that make relative to another player with the same stats but does not have the Flair trait? I guess I'm asking what's the point/purpose of traits?
2. Are traits permanent? In CM, for example, as a young player develops or an older player declines, are traits added/subtracted? I could imagine this would be an issue, especially if you're ten years into a career and you're mostly playing with computer-generated players, or if you like to start with lower league teams, like I do, and work your way to the top relying a lot on the development of cheap young players.
