Fifa 11 Xbox 360/PS3

I'm not buying that, 09 and 10 both had clones, they must know it exists.

09 had the three super teams (France, Barca and Man Utd) and we'd play Clubs games and Gerrard, Torres, Pirlo etc had miraculously changed nationality and were playing for France.

Surely it won't be three years in a row with no fix, surely?!

Thanks Nick, so are you finally going to tell us what was said between you and Ruttski?

Yeah, sorry I forgot, we had a live Q&A with him from Vancouver and I naturally posed the question of any more features and modes for CM that we were yet to see, to which he listed the stuff we knew regarding player, player manager and then on to manager mode adding at the end he took it that was that not enough, to which I stated no!.. as me and other manager mode players felt a little short changed..

Which as you would expect was not what a jet lagged Mr Rutter wanted to hear, he added a few comments and the fact we can add edited/created players to the CM too, it was nothing major :P.. :PIRATE:

I did not see any of the real banana benders in the games I played or watched...

Thats great thanks Nick.

A few more questions that may have been covered already but, is the shooting a bit heavier now? I noticed in the Fifa 10 demo it seemed harder and lower than the full game. Also did they retain the picth sizes and textures from WC2010?

Tbh I found them a lot less in the WC game so would expect it to be less in 11. (crossing)

What are you guys doing not posting up full on impressions?! It's like you have a life or something! ;)

From the mood I'm sensing there isn't really that much else to add. The game isn't as fast as on the video's and has a decent pace. Passing+ needs to be better, p+ is in, but not hugely noticable. Pressure by gamer is less effectice, AI pressure is less. CM has nothing else then what has been announced. Did I miss anything?

So when is the PES demo out?!

Did you play any night games and has the lighting been improved?

I never played WC to any extent so I see things from a 10-11 stand point, my fear was the shooting too, it did feel heavier in 11, with more power too in some of the strikes I got off..

It was also down to players and positions, quick turn and strikes were difficult to get power in as you would expect but if you picked tight shots with players of high skill in that department you could pull them off...

The pitches were far better than 10, some were fantastic, as I posted above though I did not see any change pitch side...

Did anyone use that new camera that seem to be a mix between broadcast and tele? If so was it as sexy to play with as it is to look at?

:( I didn't, most of the time the games were all set and running when I got a pad, it looks lovely too, I forgot about that...

I'm going back to Guildford next week so I'll make a list of stuff I missed, it's hard to go through options and stuff at these events when guys just want to play... :P

STFU with that same excuse EVERY fucking year. Jesus you act like making a perfect game is easy. Perfect what you already got and expand on it. Possibilities are endless.

Who is this clown? WTF? are you stupid or something? When did i say making the perfect game is easy? Read the fucking post again u donut, i'm saying pretty much what your saying. Get something and keep expanding on it. I'm not slagging off EA you muppet.

Ah i thought he meant it was down to the Analogue sticks now which would have been a bit weird

Does that mean just using the left stick won't move your player ?

Left stick is from standing still to full jogging (even though with the ball you hardly notice the gradual difference). Right trigger is from full jogging to full sprint.

I think it might be more useful when not having the ball. So if you sprint along someone that has the ball you can slow down a tiny amount to keep him right where you want him. For example if you know he will try to cut inside it might be good to slow down the sprint a little so he can't do a quick turn and get in behind you.

that's a PITA with analogue sprinting (on the PS3). I'm using a classic PES layout:
R1: sprint
R2: slow dribble/tricks
L1: change player
L2: placed shoot

it seems it's time to get my 360 back (long term loaner to a friend)

Would this not be simpler if it was all just done on the left stick?

Too sensitive I think, not enough room to play with in the tilting. I don't mind this system, have never heard anyone complain about it before (it's the same just that you can sprint a little less if you feel like it).

It's always been right trigger hasn't it?

I think he meant the stick controls the pace, while the trigger 'triggers' the base speed, i.e. sprint or jog.
So the analogue part of the run is always controlled by the stick, and the trigger is only used to switch between the two modes.
