Dunno, just very demotivated now. Still not seen the but Adam's tweet seems to confirm they've sped it up again, as does the opinion of everyone in the hidden forums.

Fuck's sake. A year of putting the effort in and this is how they repay us. We all said the pace in Canada and Guildford was amazing - but what would be more amazing would be if it was FIFA 10 fast. Man that'd be cool.
 
I'd say don't chill, make sure EA knows that if the game really is sped up, they should slow it back down again.

Only the fact that I'll be able to play this game in 5 days prevents me from creating a thread on the forum entitled Gutless Cowardice. It's the one thing which seems to define EA, year, after year, after year. This utter inability to actually take the lengths necessary. This ability to have it all on a plate in front of them, to have it explained to them superbly by an army of people who are willing their game to be the best it could be, and they just can't do it.

Frankly EA don't deserve you hidden forum goers;

Thankfully you guys are going over there. You should be just in time to give them a kick up the arse and get the speed right and the P+ influence back, or even more.

Would be a massive mistake if they end up releasing FIFA10.1 (so no bugs but not much else). Especially with PES looking good again this year.
 
Depends if the slow option is slow enough. I've played the last two versions (10/WC) or normal and have found the speed to be fine. But then I play a calm possesion game so it's more to do with fast player reactions then the overal speed of the game. However playing online the other day 10 was far too fast, so you would want the game to slow down.

Did Adam not notice P+? It's something he is always harping on about. That's if you can even notice it in the sprintfest.

I had the two versions and didn't notice anything different. seriously. perhaps some anti aliasing probs on the ps3, but nothing that you'll notice immediatly,

I don't mind the ping pong passing at all, it's a part of the fun next-gen FIFA has given us. Fluid, excellent gameplay.

If only they could fix the first time shots to more powerful ones, a la PES old-gen...

Kick up the arse is a flipping euphemism, kick up the arsehole sounds more appropriate and painful.
 
The most frustrating thing is they have all the tools and resources to do what’s necessary but they wont. I know I need to play the game but the latest vids have left me really deflated. Its gonna take some amazing write up by somebody or some real good videos to get my hyped for Fifa 11 now.

Normal WAS slow in Guildford. I thought the pace was good then, but there was always the Slow setting as a safety net in case.

I won't give up, I'm going to the Emirates and want to rant with the best of both forums.

This is SO not the point for anyone who plays online. In fact it's not remotely the point anyway. Slow doesn't really solve the problems which make this look so fast.

What? There is nothing wrong with the engine at all. We haven't even seen the best of this engine yet - because EA seem to have a mental block when it comes to doing really obvious things.

TBH it could be that because the players all run at speeds and acc tied to stats, we are seeing barca play real madrid at a typical fast pace. Proof infact is the one chelsea vid where the pace is slowed by one or two players. I pray that's the issue.

EA really, really really need to sort out fatigue and stamina's effect on stats. STAT. It would improve the game immeasurably. Hopefully they have already but as I said before yesterday, how can we see from a 2minute demo from jokers who can't play the game?

Rutter should have been on stage playing against a staffer like the Crysis and Need for speed demos. This is one of the highest selling sports franchises of all time and they've not acted at all like it is so far.
 
In yesterdays video (the one with questions from the stupid thing called FB) Rutter said that they slowed the pace down. He maybe isnt a genius, but why would he say it if it wasnt so...
 
To keep us happy? If I was a complete cynic the number of things you could derive from this are incredible. I mean, frankly, the term 'gamechanger' seems mighty fucking amusing right now, doesn't it?

They don't listen to them/us, in fact, they do very much the opposite, seemingly. Yet, thanks to the opinions of the lucky few who played a sensibly paced game, we've all been docile for the last three months! Unbelievable. Can't believe EA would do this.
 
if someone sees more than two people challenging for the ball in the air could you point me in the right direction to view it please? thanks in advance :)

The game will be fine playing manual v manual as you can replicate real life football with all varieties of attacks and moves and types of pass, as appose to this boring shitty pass forward every chance you get shit

One thing I will say is that the passing in PES 2011 is pretty accurate too. Actually the vids I've seen of that all look faster than it feels to play.

Don't want to add more fire to the fuel but PES 11 passing is much harder than Semi and along with that stringing more than 2-3 passes is difficult while FIFA its the complete opposite.

Not looking good for FIFA this year at all.
