FIFA 10

I actually don't intent to get the demo, playing these short matches would be too frustrating for me so I would prefer to wait

:CONFUSE: You so crazy!
It'll be like introduced to this hot chick but you won't be allowed more than 5 minutes intercourse with her.
I'd rather wait for the real thing.
Besides last year I didn't get the demo and based my choice on the member of this board and it proved to be the right to do for FIFA09.

TBH I don't think a demo gives a good impression on a football game, sometimes you have to play it for days or weeks to get into it particularly if you are changing between two games like PES and FIFA. things will always feel off if you are more accustomed to one.

Doubt it, as Rutter said earlier on twitter that it is not in.

(@tweekiepark no handball - but yes the goal side flat ad boards on the pitch are gone...

Been confirmed several times on the EA forums that there's one of those weird fouls in the buildup that results in a free-kick.

Handballs are 100% definitely not in FIFA 10.

doesnt mean a thing though... doesnt change what happens in a game, was playing fifa 09 2 v 2 last night, im starting to hate fifa 09. If you dont have a the right team mate, or patience, the game on manual is a nightmare hodge podge of shitty running into each other constantly, sprinting, and completley unsmooth gameplay... i was dying to try pes 2009, but no one wanted too(just to see if it gave us more fun, I think it would have), in 4 straight games one team scored ZERO goals.. very frustrating fifa is. I after many months of playing the various fifa modes, I have to say the game is not that great, it's just better then the alternative(for 2 vs 2 Im thinking PES 2009 Patched is actually better). I hope fifa 10 runs alot smoother and has less collisions

Don't blame the game for that men. Just blame yourself for the lack of patience to learn to use the manual controls properly. Fifa 09 in my opinion is in the very right direction. Fifa 10 just needs to iron out some bad AI and make better the game in other areas as dribbling, passing options, tactical and formation options and other details that consist the real football. Fifa 09 is incredibly near the real thing if played properly (manual controls and especially the 2 v 2 or 3 v 3 encounters, very realistic when played from skilled manual players).

I am not saying that only good manual players should play that game but if someone is not so skilled he has the chance to pick to play with a not so difficult position like wing-back or defensive midfielder.

If it's any good we will be playing it for a few days, or weeks.

Dissapointed with the night settings of the generic stadiums. Most (if not all) that I wanted english clubs to have won't have night..

It'll totaly screw up my MM as all games will be played at day time if I change them to the most correct looking stadium...

sorry mate, but it is the shitty repsonse times that make this so frustrating.. it is not my lack of being able to use the manual controls, to me it is the following

1. response times are shit on manual
2. the pitch is too small, In PES you can see how much bigger the pitch feels
3. player individuality is non existent

Gomito after reading your last post in here I played PES 2009 again after having left it alone for a while, and my God. I'm sure it's fun but personally it's just too unrealistic for me in too many areas. In fairness I know you said it might be more fun with mates and that might be true because FIFA does have flaws that make it really frustrating when playing with your mates.

I promise you though, I feel the same regarding response times as you do. In FIFA 10 response times will not be an issue, there wasn't a bit of lag when we played it at the Emirates and it was SO FUCKING SATISFYING to get past a man instead of CONSTANTLY bumping into them due to crap response times.

The pitch also feels bigger because it's impossible to press for 90 minutes now, and as for player individuality... Well... You can feel it for the big players - when I played as a big team for the first time I just kept passing to Eto'o because his dribbling ability and his burst of speed was immense - but yeah, admittedly, the majority of each team doesn't feel individual enough. That's something they still need to work on.

You will be majorly happy with FIFA 10 though, I would bet money on it, because it combines the best bits of both games as far as I'm concerned. Lots more unpredictability, the ability to get past a man, the ability to score from anywhere etc...

1. I just disagree. Well, they could make the controls to respond a bit faster but not if that would brake the gameplay in general.
2. You are right, but that has nothing to do with the manual controls. They just need to make the pitch a little bit larger , not huge though.
3. Again this has nothing to do with the manual controls.

One question for you. Have you ever played on Dynamic v1 camera on manual? Try that and give it time.

To everyone : Just try the Dynamic camera. It will help you to maintain the ball better and longer. For sure.

As for Pro Evo's faster responsive controls, they may be indeed faster but you have little to no control on short distances. Just run and hope the player will get past the opponent

I tried this a week ago and it helps a lot for close control and close passing definitely, it really helps to see what's going on. But I don't like the radar in FIFA 09 and I end up losing the ball every time I want to do a longer pass. So I've had to go back to the TELE camera. :(

I thought of this myself some time ago but i decided that having better close control and options for safe passing its a better choise than having the chance to make one killer through ball or long ball.I am a manual only player so this is difficult thing to do anyway. So my choise is to play with the dynamic camera. I just wish there is a fully customisable camera on Fifa 10. This is actually my dream amongst others :)). Perhaps on Fifa 11....

Have you told anyone at EA about letting us choose if the radar will go transparent? They should just rip the radar in PES, it is so clear to see the dots in that one and it doesn't fade away. I used the radar all the time in PES but I never use it in FIFA because you can't see it 80% of the time and when you do see it you can't see what dots that belong to your team.

Yep the radar is fucking awful. Funny you say that about the pitch size, A mate of mine who plays PES played FIFA 09 for the first time and straight away he said how much bigger the pitch is on FIFA. I think its best to play FIFA on tele with the Cam Zoomed completely out and the height lowered.

The radar is poo and I've told them this several times, including at the Emirates. I miss the PES radar.

Dynamic camera all the way! I really cannot believe that 80%(?) of all the FIFA players, plays on tele cam. I really can't enjoy the game on a bird eye camera. This is next gen and if you have a HD TV, I really recommend you to play on dynamic camera ;)

I keep trying dynamic/broadcast cams but i can't get used to it. I need a better radar for that play. Fifa's radar is awful.

I play on wide cam i think its called, zoomed out, need to see the whole pitch or else i cant pass properly, especially using manual
