Do also remember regarding the "retarded keepers" that they have their GK Positioning stat set to 1/99. That is the issue, not the overall rating. Therefore lower league keepers will be fine, because not many of them will have a rating as low as 1/99 for positioning. That's a bug which will be ironed out. A simple error.

In some ways I found players different, Messi is very different for example.

But then I was doing tricks and taking the ball passed people with Sissoko, and that wouldn't really happen.

From the videos you lot have been posting, it doesn't look that much different to 09.

The animations actually seem to have lost a bit of flow though, and the players look horribly skinny.

Oh and the speed is at Pro Evo levels, looks quicker than 09 and I thought that was way too fast.

Then again, I've not played it yet so I guess I can't comment properly.

Funnily enough this is spot on mate. Pretty much everything you have said is true of the game from my experience.

For some reason,and in stark comparison to the 09 demo which I was constantly wanting to play when I couldn't - I just cant be arsed playing this. Its such an effort and the AI is still ridiculously frustrating and make me want to scream very, very loud. Sigh.

Regarding players individuality, as far I'm concerned I can certainly tell the difference between players.I'm satisfied with that aspect of things

Yep exactly They're only streaming it outside the UK though so if you want to watch it you'll need to find a non UK proxy, I'm prolly going to share the match via http once it's finished though so you can always get that off me If you are in the UK they're showing the Charlton match (Tim!)

Yep exactly, and TBH I wouldn't want to see a red card 100% of the time in the game as it's not realistic, letter of the law or not

yeah i also feel the same..all players look the same..it's so easy to mark the likes messi,ibra,henry,drogba..play with chicago same thing happen,also manage to beat them all with this team..

That is still my number one problem. But Fifa is Fifa and this will probably not change any time soon.

It must be that the game doesn't make good enough use of the players stats, not that the player stats are inaccurate in the first place (I'm sure EA's extensive team of data collectors do a grand job).

I agree mostly with the individuality as its not with most players... I mean Diego definately didn't stand out.... but Messi????? are you sure.... He definately hunches over more than other players (as in real life) and his skilled dribble and has specific animations to him...

In terms of stats they are definatley diffferent too... ie drill a pass to Messi with Pique and then try the same thing with Abidal... The passes will be different based on stats Piques drilled long ball is amazing...

Work does need to be done on the individuality of players but for me its something I am prepared to wait for as everything else is so nice.

Some great news for those who think FIFA 10 is a tad too fast on normal...

FIFA 10 WILL ALLOW YOU TO PLAY RANKED MATCHES ON SLOW

There's so many little touches like that this year.

Individuality is definitely evident in quite a few players. Messi certainly, he has the swagger and animation to suit his play. Another I've noticed is Amauri for Juventus. I've crashed through several challenges without going down, showing his strength and ability to stay on his feet. It all feels great. I'll agree that Diego simply feels like another "cloned player" but I'm sure the majority of players are basically the same drone with altered stats. To individualise every single player would take months and months of work. The main players have been done very well - Lampard, Drogba, Ibrahimovic, Ribery and like I said, Messi and Amauri, to name but a few. The full game will be littered with tons more that have been worked on as a priority.

I think on the individuality front, the bottom line is that the average players feel the same. They don't move differently or have special animations. If that's what's important to you then you're going to be annoyed by the game.

I still think that in Manager Mode, I'll have one player who can score more shots than anyone else, one player who tackles better than everyone else, and THIS HAS BEEN MASSIVELY IMPROVED from FIFA 09. In this demo I'm getting to know squads by each player's strengths and weakness, which was NEVER THE CASE BEFORE. I'm learning about football players through playing the game, which happened to me with PES before, but never FIFA.

But when I move the average players around, and try the skill moves, they will look and feel the same as eachother.

Personally, I don't give a monkeys about that - I love that I will be better off shooting with the guys who actually have decent shooting stats, rather than anybody (regardless of their stats or even their position). But some people do evidently and with the amount of teams and players FIFA has compared to Pro Evo or the NBA 2k series, you're never going to be happy playing FIFA.

CD, i think most people will accept that maybe someone from Swindon can't have signature moves, but Diego i would put in the top players in the world. I'm sure they will build it in more each year.

Now i have had a taste of Messi playing in a diff style, it makes me want more... Puyol and Terry definitely throw themselves at the ball more than Pique etc... I just hope in the game we do get more and more each year.

Looks like it's been removed, don't know if it's just because it's a demo or because it causes problems with the uploads (making them take up too much space because the slower it is the longer it lasts, which obviously makes the file-size bigger). With so many people downloading the demo perhaps they're looking to cut down the amount of space all the replay uploads will be eating up.

It's the same as in 09. Switch to custom and off you go.

1) I think Chris Davies said you click in the left stick and it changes to slow motion?

2) Change your camera to custom and you can change your tele cam settings that way. I've got mine as Tele but zoomed right out.

Didn't Chris mention you click down on the stick to go into slowmo mode?

You can change the zoom and the height of all cameras I believe (only tried tele as it's the only one I use), change its setting from default to custom then you can change the sliders.

WTF is all the hype about... this game is not much different from 09. And yeah i dont see much difference between players. Im really disappointed at this point. I think the games will still turn into 2 v 2 midfield slugfest when playing with mates. The response times are still shit, manual passing is still too hard and assisted is to easy...

I've been trying the "new tricks" but they're so tough to pull off and the worst thing is learning in the arena and doing them on the pitch is so different.Mainly because of the angles

you can't do them with Lampard tricks are divided on star levels, Lampard can do basic stuff, only guys who have 5 star dribbling can do stuff from the movie

I'd just suggest keeping at it mate. They'll be very similar to Fifa09 and there are plenty of guides on Youtube. The only discrepancy will be that the Arena uses a different camera angle whereas on the field of play it's usually a horizontal view, meaning the move commands are slightly different in the directions you have to press to execute them.

You can only do a a certain level of tricks with that player, depending on each players ability. You can do tricks with say, Ibra, in the arena, when you chose Barca. You can't do many with Fat Frank.

I meant for instance when I control Zlatan (or any highly technical players) during the loading arena mode I can easily do the new tricks but I have so far a hard time pulling them off in matches with the same highly technical players.

Understood mate. I was the same for a short while during my few games. Could do a fair few in the area with Diego, but on the field during games I was struggling a bit trying to remember the combinations and which directions to push. It'll all become easier over time, and certainly when the full game is released.

Wonder if anyone else has seen this.

Was in goal with Buffon against a Frank Lampard penalty. He shot right, i dived right and saved with both hands and pushed it against the post, and off the pitch.

The result - 1-0 to Chelsea. I hope this is a bug that is fixed before the final release.
