FIFA 10 360/PS3 Demo Feedback + Videos

Not sure. What do you mean with that, is it that the CPU is attacking all the time or that you don't notice people getting tired?

Because I can't really see people getting tired in the demo. Fatigue seems to be like in 09, which isn't that good. I want players to be really tired after sprinting.
 
Seems ok on slow for me... although i think thats what normal should be...

Slow - to - Normal
Normal - to - Fast
and make a new slow...
 
I am really, really pleased with the demo (really!) My two cents....

+360 dribbling- how anyone can not see the effect of 360 dribbling is beyond me... It changes the whole look at feel of the game, it's so much more organic now, you're finally not on a grid! This is not just in skilled dribbling, and even not just in regular paced dribbling, but in running: you don't turn at the same angle every time anymore. Love it

+Long range passing- Again, how anyone can't see how long range passing is more driven... it literally is 100% better than Fifa 09 at the very least. 09 You would hardly ever want to do one of these as it would take 10 minutes to get to the target, not so anymore

+Fouling, Defense, tackling!! I love the fouling now - when you barge in with the double team X button, or even if you run in full steam with your player you are much more likely to foul, and though I'm not sure about this, it seems to me I foul much more often with players that can't tackle- I saw most of my fouls come from the likes of Diego and Lampard than from my defensive players. I hope and pray that people don't convince EA that this is a bad thing by the time of the final version, I love it the way it is now and think it forces you to play a different game

+I like skilled dribbling, but I still suck at it

+ Shooting - more driven as we all know by now- but I'm trying things now just to see if they work in 10, things that didnt work in 09- the ball was bouncing away from goal and I happened to have a player running towards it in perfect position to bicycle kick (although it was Toure) so I tried it and... he did it! the goal went way wide but that didn't matter, I didn't think he would actually do what I was thinking, but he did :)

+Passing - it really seems there's more individuality this year. Not sure if I'm just imagining it yet, but it seems in tackling, passing (two of the areas i think this was lacking most) it seems there's a big difference amongst players. Played a through ball with iniesta and went exactly where I wanted it (though not every time) while other players through balls seemed more difficult... and high through balls have been waaaay toned down.

+there are other things, but these are what really stood out to me so far

+Crossing- have seen some great crosses and great headed goals! in my multiplayer games have seen about 4 so far, I though I had read people weren't scoring many headers??

-long balls maybe too accurate?
-I've seen a couple of times where the defender took to ball down off his chest instead of heading it clear
-Players should avoid their weak foot a bit more

That's pretty much it for now, can't wait for the full game :)

At the Emirates i played many games where i was able to use midfield maestro's, Cesc for one, to control the game and dictate the play. Now with this ultra fast paced demo its just like 09, no time on the ball.......I'm really gutted! I hope it gets sorted for release

I'll know for sure once I have played the demo. Speed was one of the many things that killed my interest in Fifa 09 last year, esp online where you had Messi and Ronaldo sprinting past SB's like they had rocket jets attached to their boots. I know futbol and that is not real futbol. Also, have they altered the finesse shot? In Fifa 09 everybody had the exact same finesse shot.
 
Review, it's not really worth me saying anything because you'll play the demo and make your own mind up. But when I've had a fast player and ran down the wing in the demo, I've usually been caught.

It's not the running that's faster, it's the ultra-quick ping-pong passing that makes the game look fast. The actual player movement isn't that fast at all, I get caught out trying to run too much all the time.

And the finesse shots, well, I hit one with a Marseille guy before and he turned and hit it in a really strange way with his left foot. But that could have been an animation error. I haven't scored any other finesse shots yet!
 
I can't hold 'up' for a drilled freekick anymore, maybe it's because they've made the controls more precise, but whenever I try, it just slowly moves to the left or right.


EDIT: Also, "Wegue Wegue....Wegue Wegue" is beginning to grate!

I'm the opposite, almost all my goals so far in the demo are finesse!

:NONO: Nets matter to me as well as a lot of other people. It adds or takes away so much from the goalscoring feeling. Just look at football kingdom, was a pretty dull game, and years old now, but looking back at the videos the nets make it look out of this world.

Well while we are on the subject, I think the movement of the nets are great but it just needs to be more loose.
 
I couldn't give a shit about nets, if the ball crosses the line then it's a goal regardless.

I can't say I've once looked at the net animation when I've scored on any game. That includes games like basketball as well. In fact even in real life, the goal is scored and I watch the players, not some material moving around.
 
wonderfull game, but...PLAYERS ARE TOO SKINNY (look at Del Piero and Giovinco) is it possible nobody noticed that ??
then Nets animation is far away from PES one...Anyway the rest is PERFECT for me...The best football game I've ever played GREAT JOB EA :APPLAUD: I don't need to check PES2010 demo, I ALREADY DID MY CHOISE (it is impossible PES2010 is better than FIFA10, I'm sure)
 
Great game, love the pgysical play and love how you can knock the ball ahead now. also the skilled dribbling looks and feels so good. the ref almost never gives a foul against the cpu and the beel is still a bit floaty which can give the game this akward look in the replays and keeps it from looking like the real thing.

Giovinco and Del Piero ARE skinny though. I see no problem with it, it just means you shouldn't try to out muscle Puyol/Pique, and instead should play quick passes or try to out do them with skill or pace in Giovinco's case.

Sorry but Del Piero is not a skinny guy, I've seen him live...he is only 173 cm...but he is 73/74 kg...

Fair enough. How are the headers? Powerful, floaty or just the right mix?
