FIFA 10 360/PS3 Demo Feedback + Videos

I've said a few times that on the normal speed setting it only seems too fast to me because of how quickly the CPU press and how quickly they can pass the ball about on World Class. When I knocked it down to Pro it wasn't too bad.

At the Emirates playing the month earlier build it felt like you had more time on the ball but we were only playing against eachother, and when I play a friend with this demo it feels perfect. Someone on FSB also made this point which I think is valid:

I agree with the AI pressing quickly, actually, more so that they press so high up the pitch, but when it comes to general game speed if that is reduced as per what most people appear to want, won't that also reduce sprint speed, pass speed, reactions speed etc none of which I feel need slowed down

How are free-kicks any easier?

I scored a bucket load of them on 09 by holding down LB and shooting but they've made it harder to "exploit" that feature because you've now got to fill the bar up to 3/4 of the way before you can get it over the wall like that.

Hell, I've even scored a 25-yarder with Felipe Melo on 09, so I don't think they've made it easier.

People are jumping the gun way to much on a unfinished demo

I said as much on the FSB forums, there is no way its possible to judge a game and the way it will play on the basis of a demo this short regardless of how many games you play on it

Absolutely right. Last years should have proved that but still people are assuming this is a taster of the final build.
But isn't a demo a sample of what the game is going to be? Isn't it there for us to play so we can judge whether to buy the full game or not? Whats the purpose of a demo then?

Man that's pure class.

Yeah final build won't be completely different. But what I like about EA is that they are using their demo's as public beta nowadays. They always open up a special section on their forum for feedback on the demo so they can change minor stuff that people want changed. They do it for their other franchises too so it's not only a FIFA thing.

My Demo glitched the first time I played it lol. Petr Cech was ranked 64 overall and the help menu said to keep tapping triangle to go into slow dribble.

But the demo is amazing.

*Andy Gray just said "They might not have won, but they have lost here today"*

My problem with the speed of the game is not the speed itself, but the speed the game forces you to do things because of the poor tactics and AI as I stated before (probably many times and being so repetitive, sorry for this lads).

Concluding:

Everything you can control in the game is close to perfection and produces pretty realistic results.

Everything you don't have control of (AI, tactics, player switching) feels stiff and lowers the overall amazing impression of the experience. Of course, playing against a mate decreases the negatives and makes for the best virtual football I've ever seen BY FAR.

By the way (I put it in another post because it's a separate thing), I've found a BIG difference in playing with my original Sixaxis (2 years old) and my Dual Shock (or whatever it's called, the one with rumble) that has only 8 months old and it's newer.

With my newer pad the analogue seems a lot more accurate and my dribbling improves a lot. I've checked it several times and every time I play with the rumble (and heavier) pad I play more precise. Maybe it's the time where analogue really makes a difference and a good / new pad can make a subtle difference.

Anyone?

Still desperate to like this, so in a rather embarrassing move, I went down the lowest skill level and started to have a more enjoyable time (controls on semi - manual through balls/lobs).

Managed to knock it around more, use skill moves and dribbles to beat people and scored a couple of goals.

Won one game 2-1 and the other 1-0 - AI didnt seem too bad to me at that low level, so I may start there and work my way up as I get more time to get better.

Its weird though as on the rare occassion I played clubs on 09, I seem to hold my own (as CW and co will testify if they recall my 30 yard left footed half-volley goal :) ).

Still gonna get this, if I keep it is another thing!

I'd rather say it isn't an embarrasing, but a very intelligent move of you - everybody has to like the game, whether it's on Legendary or on Semi-pro ;) :TU:

Someone who's had absolutely nothing positive to say about the game on the FSB forums - nothing - has just come out with this.

I don't know why I'm posting it here (to see if anybody's tried this I suppose and if they agree). I just thought it was hilarious, he went from the biggest troll in the world - posting "this is so shit :(" etc. - to this, within six hours.

My opinion on the game has changed.

2 vs CPU on World Class, Manual but with semi- shooting, and auto player switch set to zero. This game is incredible.

I can only hope some bugs are ironed out (goalkeepers) and the CPU on pro is fixed as well as the game is set a tad slower to really emphasise build up play.

I would still love world Class to be more clinical, in my opinion, a slight bit of pressure and they can't hit a barn door.

The less AI interference the better IMO, this is why I think 2vCPU is better than single player, and why Clubs is the best mode of all.

(Depends on the people controlling the players though, 10v10 with randoms is, and always will be a joke)

Going back to the speed issue, but slightly on a tangent, I was playing as Chelsea, and Anelka who's obviously lightening quick doesnt seem fast enough on this.

No-one else on the demo is a player noted for searing pace (maybe in chicago) as much as Anelka yet he doesnt seem that quick in comparison to the rest.

I know they dumbed it down this year, but Anelka sprinting doesnt get caught up. Ever

Anyone else think the same?

Anyone else had a goal deflect off a defender and thus been called an OG which clearly wasn't the case? Only had it once so far but I hope it's not for every deflected goal as it's only Serie A that does that (last I knew anything about Serie A which is going back a few years).

Placebo just scored this.

Ref plays a nice advantage, Drogba hits the shot, clips the defender and loops over the goalie. Drogba credited with goal :))

On a side note, the replay frame rate really doesn't help display this game realistically, just makes it look like a Benny Hill sketch

It should be a Drogba goal right? It's like Bremer's goal for Zee Germans against blighty,it hit Parker on the arse and looped over Shilton.

Just went and played on pro level and finding it way to easy. But managed to score 3 goals which was nice.
I must be bloody awful then, I don't find it too easy; I'll scrape a win 1-0 or draw 0-0 on Pro, draw 0-0 or lose 1-0 on World Class...

I don't get it though, I was winning all the time on FIFA 09 / Legendary...
