FIFA 10 360/PS3 Demo Feedback + Videos

Spent most of my time with it today trying to get to grips with jinking past people with the right stick (as in, the bridge, but also the shoulder dropped knock into space). Today has not been fun :(

Bloody hard but I'm starting to get there. Ibrahimovic pulled off a cracking bridge inside the area but his bullet shot was blocked. Sadly I accidentally rejected the EA T&C at the start so couldn't upload it. Was beautiful though.

Spent some time on it Today, and its losing its appeal already.

Crossing needs to be improved, just like 09, when you cross from the top of the pitch, too many crossers are pulled back to the edge of the area, and not in the danger zone.

Also strikers still trying to chest ball when I want to head it (not as much as prev years, but still there).

Strikers hardly jumping for crossers, they just stand and try and head the ball with no power.

And when you use skill moves, most of the time you beat a man with luck, not really meaning to do what you have done.

And is this just me, but when I am closing in on goal, especially on an angle, there isnt much goal to aim at (compared to PES were I seem to have more choice before I shoot).

Seems to be plenty of negatives in here now, as well as a lot of drivel... :P

I'm still a few pages to read and catch up on but it seems to be splitting between those who love it and those who are at odds with it and seem to feel its 09.5...

But that's exactly what it is gameplay-wise and nobody ever said it would be any different.

Although I was moaning about certain details, it was nit picking, I've said many times Fifa 10 seems to go the right path and the evolution is great: everything you can control with the pad is awesome, best I've ever seen.

My gripes are mostly with AI and Tactics, something that I hope will come in the following years.

I'm dying to play it against my mates!

To me the change FIFA09-FIFA10 is bigger than FIFA08-FIFA09 and than any two PES titles ever.

Seconded. I can't think of anything that hasn't been overhauled and improved, except maybe the player changing (though I use player names instead of just the red arrow so I'm often having to spent a few precious split seconds working out who I'm controlling when the action is closely packed).

Is it too desperate to pray and hope for better nets (A long time ago I used to hate net fetishists haha) because every goal feels so plastic.
Every good shot I score (not necessarily a screamer )loses its wow factor because of these horrible nets

In a word, yes.

Take a look at the latest build video on FSB, the Marseille v Lyon video. Do the nets look the same in that? They're what you'll get in the retail version.

I am a match going football fan, who spends thousands a year wtahcing his team, who has formed his own opinion of Xavi over countless years of watching him, way before Iniesta was in the side. And that includes watching him live twice in the past couple of years against my team, including his wonderful performance when United couldnt get near him in Rome. He was the standout player as he always, always played the right ball.

Liam Miller is absolute shite, not fit to be mentioned in the same sentence as him. One decent CL game for Celtic when he scored in front of Fergie.

And to be honest saying Xavi is a talented bystander is nothing short of stupid as I'm sure dekkard agrees as he has no doubt watched more Xavi than us both. Everything goes through Xavi for Barca and Spain. Everything. Hardly a bystander. He's the best midfielder in the world.

That said, Essiens the best midifelder in England IMO, but come on. Liam Miller compared to Xavi is retarded.

And the Molinaro clip was in response to people discussing difficulty of rounding keepers, and it was the first time I've done it on the demo.

No need to get so defensive, you deserved to be told you were stupid for comparing Liam Miller and Xavi

Nothing but praise for the engine that drives Barca, ol' Xavi Hernandez.

They play through Xavi for a reason. Because he is probably the best playmaker in the world with a fantastic eye for a killer pass and his pass completion rate is out of this world.

Pretty good for a talented bystander. He would slot into the first 11 of any team in the world.

Part of the reason this site is so great. Credit is given where it's due, and Xavi deserves all the credit for being a God amongst men.
