I realise you are a massive barcelona fan,but you've got to stop looking at everything in terms of the way they play. Even if we could play like barca do in real life - we would get shot down by people worldwide saying we are playing ping pong assisted style.
Seems to me that you play in the barca style (ball possession and passing) for the sake of playing in the style - just forget about them and play the game as chances open naturally. Doesnt mean you need to play the long ball game or consistently score with 1on1's, but you need to be prepared that these things will sometimes happen.
Oh, and for what it's worth, I would have Essien over Xavi ANYDAY of the week. Iniesta, on the other hand...
I think you didn't get the point entirely of my post. If I play Juventus or Chelsea, my central midfielders are gods and I do what I want. Playing weaker players, all the glory goes away fast and you can't let the cpu get 1 meter away of you or they will just dispossess you.
I play long passes, through balls, dribbles, etc.. I do everything I can dream of in the game, except mantain possession in midfield with the more skilled players.
Gab, I know I can "shield" the ball with a button, but I would like to be able to simply turn with a weak player and make impossible for the opponent to knock the ball off of me from behind so easily. I know 30% of times there's the chance of grabbing a free kick, but most of the times you simply loose possession and your player does that kind of "stumbling" animation.
It's the fact that strength is way overacted that pissess me off because it diminishes creative players.
I like Essien a lot, but Xavi is a completely different player and one of the best passers in the world. Probably the man with less turnovers in history.
On the other side, forwards are really well represented. In fact, Fifa 10 shows he best attack and defense ever seen in a game. Now it's only midfield left!
I have a question for those that have played Human vs. Human:
Is stamina depleted really fast? Can you do pressure all the time? Is secondary defender's pression making a real impact on stamina? It's very important for me that someone who simply holds sprint button all the game should finish the game totally exhaust.
