I beleive if you don't like FIFA 10. It's because you chose not to like it befor you even started playing it. Sure there are a few minor bugs. But it's the most fun, closest thing tonreal football we have. So embrace it and enjoy it. Instead of looking for things to complain about.

Absolute shite.

If someone doesnt like the game as much as you, then that's their choice. FIFA 09 divided people and 10 isnt THAT much different, so you'd expect the same divides.

Lots of us find it frustrating to play and not the be all and end all that some make it. It still has a lot of faults.

Its definitely not a bad game by any means - its technically superb and probably the closest you will ever get to watching a real game on TV. PES cannot touch it for looks, presentation, features etc (I personally prefer the gameplay, but thats my choice).

Its like rFactor or MS Flight Sim on the PC. They are technically spot on simulations of driving and flying - to an obsessive degree. Are they fun to play? No, not in my opinion - not unless you are an obsessive that can devote hours and hours to learning the subtleties.

I think the same applies to FIFA - its a very good simulation but that doesnt always = fun gaming (which at the end of the day, is why we do it!).

You shouldnt disregard opinions so quickly - just enjoy it for yourself.

Hei mates FIFA10 is wonderfull, can't stop playing the demo...
Only One thing : some players are too skinny (Del Piero, Giovinco)...And...why my demo is set in FIFA stadium (sunset)?

Dr Force, you are holding down LT AND RT aren't you? Most of us (including me) thought Skilled Dribbling was just LT and found we weren't able to beat players.

Hold RT as well and your players whole stance changes and it's definately possible to beat players and send them the wrong way. Trust me, if I can do it, anyone here can :D

I'll have to look into this as I change all my keys to match the way I've played PES from the SNES days...

Y = Shoot
X = Sprint
A = Pass
B = Lob
LB = Through Ball
RB = Player Runs
LT = Skill Stance
RT = The other one :D Finesse shot?

So what are the buttons for Skill Dribble from that?

Out of 20 pages, I'm surprised nobody else has commented on the weird 'ice skating' effect where the players feet don't look like they are planting on the grass. I played fifa 09 for two hours before playing the fifa 10 demo and it looked very odd to begin with. Maybe it's just me...

Had about five games and started to get into it though, seems like it's gonna be a great game

Re: FIFA 10 Demo Feedback + Videos

Played about 5 or 6 matches late last night. Felt to me exactly the same as FIFA09.

Then again, I never wish to play against the cpu, and it's as bad a gameplay experience as it's always been.

Of course, I'll still be buying it, but only because I have to, because I want to play online footy, and everyone else will be "upgrading" to FIFA10, so I am forced to also.

But for me, this game is stagnating the same way PES has for the past 5 years. I feel no more new freedom at all. Everything still feels to be at the same level as FIFA09. Manual is not really manual, still feels like 8 directional movement, no real control over the power of passes or shots, button delays, obvious cpu interference (ie cheats), the cpu is pixel perfect in everything it does. I'm sure it will still be fun online, but exactly the same level of fun as 09.

Maybe as the weeks go by, I will notice some improvements over 09, but they are clearly slight and subtle, because the fundamental feeling I got when playing this was that this was the same game I've been playing for the past year.

I find the few comments that I've seen like this utterly, utterly mental. I noticed a huge difference in the gameplay from kickoff till 5 hours of solid play later. The way the game feels, the way the controller feels in your hands is incredibly smooth and responsive. The animations make FIFA 09 look like a PS2 game; FIFA 09 is incredibly mechanical, on-rails and biased towards one or two styles of play, whereas FIFA 10 feels like just as much of a creative canvas for us to work with as the finest PES's.

Personally I found the difference between 10 and 09 much greater than the diference between 08 and 09, and far, far greater than the difference between any two PES's. Because EA spent most of this year working on gameplay from a solid foundation, this actually feels like what a football dev could do if it took a year off to completely overhaul a game; as a result, rather than pigeon-stepping towards accurately representing real life football, is 5 massive jumps in that direction.

So I can't take comments saying it's the same as FIFA 09 remotely seriously. Maybe EA should change the colour of the pitch every year so people who can't notice the huge gameplay advances are satisfied...

LT & X that'd be for you :) Definately give it a try, it opens up so much more to the game and makes it a LOT easier to beat a player.

Crazy setup though :LOL:

Another note, I know the Emirates lads said that sprinting wasn't 360 dribbling but it's certainly close to it if it isn't 360 in the demo? I think Coopz said this as well, the angles for sprinting are a lot better now.

alright lads,new to the forums,just to see if anyone has the torrent link for the fifa 10 demo on xbox 360?? cheers....420

Http is your friend ;)

Really sad this isn't out in the US yet. We don't get the 360 demo til next Thursday. If my PC wasn't such a piece of shit I'd try the demo out, might anyway just to see it.

So just download it from the above links and burn to a DVD :)

is there anyway i can download this demo without signing into the PSN? i cant seems to connect to it since yesterday. keep getting the 90710b23 error, but i can online and browse the net thru ps3.

The CPU scored a few crackers against me last night. Ibra had an absolutely stonking gamme with two Bergkamp-esque goals, but my losing streak began when I was ultra-casual as Barca and then Chicago Fire did this:

I also tried a trick with a defender to see if it still worked every time - the first time I try it this happens:

This was the first thing I saved though. What I like about this is that it's a good example of the ball being just as playable in the air as on the ground, making everything so much more three dimensional. You could play the ball when it was in the air in 09 (as one of my FIFA 09 goals attests, IIRC) but not as freely and as naturally as you can this year.

I noticed it was working last night when I turned the demo on and Tim was looking back at me ;) his face was the last one I'd saved in Gameface :)

I take it it's all connected to your Gamertag and PSN ID?
The reason I say that is I signed up on xbox with e-mail and password but I'd used the same e-mail account on my sons PSN login. My PSN ID and Gamertag (PU6HY) both have their results appearing in my profile in EA site so I'm sure it will work. I just didn't see a Gamerface so maybe something has gone wrong due to login details.

I'm sure I'm confusing people here cos I know I am.

Cheers Dags! Yea, I know its crazy, but that was the original default set up on the SNES pad (IIRC, or when I originally got SNES I changed it to match as close to NHL or NBA a the time!) and it has stuck ever since.

Its so ingrained in me now, I cannot play any other way. Was a godsend when FIFA allowed keys to be modified.

Hmm yes bit confusing ;)

Have you tried uploading a replay yet to see if that's working for you?

13 pages to read through :)), all seems quite positive so far, I gave in at 3am last night and had 1 go after six hours of 09..
The first things I noticed, don't know if they are in these 13 pages, I'll be reading through them next so forgive.

1. Tad too fast even on slow.

2. Players looked bigger to me, I thought they had been made smaller to make pitch bigger.

3. Pitch seemed small, maybe because of above.

4. Camera angles not the same as 09, could not zoom out enough. This is important when playing 2vAI...

It didn't instantly spoil 09 for me :( though I guess I did only play one game...:P

You can change the camera angle, Nick :)

I posted a low shot for you a few pages back, hopefully you'll enjoy it.

Keep playing the demo though. After one game of the demo I didn't notice much difference and wondered what everyone was going on about. Even took me a few games to really notice the 360 dribbling, but it all comes out as you play more games and it's superb stuff :D

Re: FIFA 10 Demo Feedback + Videos

-Skilled dribbling is not apparent to me its just a case of different speeds, were we not told you could hold a man up and beet him with the 360 dribble? I'm playing on slow and played about 15 games and not once have I manged to hold a man up and beet him!!

You obviously haven't been playing much. Skilled dribbling is not just a case of different speeds. It is entirely different from normal dribbling - it's all about lateral movement. Go up to a player, then use it, and then you can move very quickly from left to right. I beat people with Messi using it all the time, on the wing Ronaldo style, going one way and then blasting off the other.

Yeah I spotted that one, I did have a mess with the camera I could not get it zoomed out far enough, even with the sliders.

I'll have to put some more time in when I'm a sober... :P
