TBH i am happy that atleast the finals will be held at a neutral ground :|

does anyone know if CL games will be at night in manager mode?

Online + Gameplay improvements I have got what I wanted so I am V.Happy

Now to find out what that exclusive game mode is!

IMO opinion Lionel shouldnt be banned. I would have responded on a couple of posts had I had time! - somepeople need to appreciate there opinion isn't shared by everybody in the Universe.

MM vs. core gameplay - its up to each of us to prioritise which is more important to us as a player...

Thats the thing though - why does it have to be Vs each other - Why can't we just have both?

because its not that easy

How can you get the AI to play like a Human?

If you have the core gameplay first then Human Vs Human will be excellent (as it normally is in footy games anyway). But if you did the AI first then Human Vs Human would be shite because you don't need as much AI in the first place

the core gameplay is a must for me and is the main thing.

But there are things in manager mode putting the fatigue aside - that could be fixed easily. Like the Playoffs, Subs, stadiums you play at, dates of matches. These can all be fixed easily I think. I think it is just lazy if this sort of thing hasn't been fixed.

But I also think the Fatigue over a season or a number of seasons can be implemented easily aswell.

Although I think EA listen to us and are trying to make a great game - I still think they are lazy in some areas and it just frustrates me.

Like the online leagues being only playing eachother once or three times - playing eachother twice wasn't even on there!! - thats just weird. Stuff like this and the little things in Manager Mode just take a bit of the sparkle out of the game.

But the gameplay is Key and if they get it really good - then I won't be too bothered.

I know what your saying about the little things but the AI just aint upto scratch in MM anyway so they need to sort that out first and foremost. They have listened to alot of stuff though (and added/changed it) but it seems none of them are to do with MM for some reason

But like i said the way i want it to be i don't think ill be seeing for a long time so ill be sticking to the awesome multiplayer as usual :))

exatcly. i never understand why people prefer AI over humans. well thats there choice realy but in general would u rather play a sport with a robot or with a human? because thats basicly what the arguments is all about! all thsi excuse has u cant find a decent game online is over the top too. when fifa 08 came out we did a massive online league with 30+ of us competing from thsi very said forum. we all got to play decent amazing online games amongst eachother with next to no quitters and laggers.

what other excuses do you AI fans have over playing with the AI over a human being?

the A.I aint up to scratch and never will be as much as everyone wants it to! which is why Be A Pro is the evolution of sports games imo and I am just praying to God 20000% that the NHL BAP Feature is the secret fifa 09 feature! It would be amazing!

The League was really good fun there is no doubt about it - But Human players exploit things in the game which also gets really annoying. In the League players were gaining advantage by using play they know would work because the response times were shit for instance. So It became less of who is better at the game - and more about who is better at explioting the failings of the game to gain an advantage.

But It all sounds promising and I can't wait to play it!!

Well on 5v5 I only play as a gamebattles team with 4 other friends and I am the any and I think its brilliant I can do curved through balls etc that would never happen in a normal situation vs CPU along with many other things which is why a love playing another human opponent/s

I'm totally gutted the MM is getting no work, I don't care what they say it's a cop out. "All our efforts into AI and graphics, next year we'll do the MM"... Balls, it sounds just like Sea-ass all they way, apart from he would dress it up more... I'm looking forward to the rest of the stuff
and will be getting the game but I'm just so gutted at the moment...

Well, I'm a bit disappointed about the manager mode and equally disappointed about only getting new generic stadiums (I'm a stadium freak - another year without the Bernabeu:brick:). Alarmingly, it sounds like we are getting some Konami-style excuses from EA this year, eg 'we wanted to it this year but didn't have the time and/or budget.' That's a bit lame from a company with the manpower and resources that EA has.

But, all-in-all I can't be too down beat. The gameplay does sound much improved and that's what matters first and foremost.

I understand the frustrations of Placebo and others as it does seem that the single player experience is playing second fiddle to online modes (which I couldn't give a toss about due to all the exploitative Barca-whore twats that frequent the online experience).

For me the NBA 2K series of games shows how a really solid single player manager mode should be done.

Following on from jamezinho, same reason I prefer playing AI with mates and not online is because most people online are pricks unfortunately, who would rather cheat, abuse or just disconnect rather than enjoy the game, they chase online cups and ranks. For every decent on liner there are fifty tossers...

And as I have said before Online gaming is competitive people will do anything to win and well thats why I like it... disconnections just means I get a win quicker but thats the kind of sports gamer I am. I play online to win not for a nice friendly match thats what unranked matches are for like I have said before or if it is really that bad for some i understand the manager mode situation I have now played a few seasons in the last week on it but atleast MM fans have something to look forward to next year even though you guys are royally pissed now!

The only problem is I fear as long as they have a separate Manager game they will not be allowed to up the MM in the FIFA series, this is more likely why nothings changed. :((

To be honest after what Placebo said (Him being told that they were going to improve MM)- I doubt that the manager mode next year will have that much time put into it.

It just sounds like they are fobbing the MM off.

Lets wait and see.

not true if u play with us lot. i hardly encounter any d/c's or cheaters on fifa 08. hardly and i play alot of ranked matches online. same thing in past PES games. hardly ever encounter any cheats or dc's online. i must be very luck or u guys must be very unlucky :)

What I don't understand is why don't they implement the fifa manager mode into fifa 09 I will never buy a fifa manager mode game so having it in fifa would make ''fifa'' better

there is only so much u can do in the space of a year mate. they have worked there ass off on gameplay which SHOULD BE priority number one, not on how pretty your team looks in a league table. they have also worked on the online side of things particularly be a pro and made it great.

seriously guys give ea a break. if you love single player games then go play a single player only game if u hate online play. have a look at bioshock or mgs4. sports games are meant to be played with REAL people :) not robots hehe

then someone can come along with a comment saying play the real sport not the game either way I am not having a go I am just putting my opinions across if I had it my way they would add even more features for online! which I Expect to hear about at Leipzig someone even says they may have both the NBA and NHL Feature this year that would be class!

love the news about the gameplay. shame about Manager Mode but I can live with that. No Celtic Park or Ibrox again for another year. EA should do bit more for the Scottish Football fans.
