Im old skool d pad although i can use stick i lose control way to much sometimes and when aiming i find d pad more precise know where ball going.

I really hope they give you total control of your player in "Be a Pro" such as me being able to hint at clubs i would like to one day play for etc or me being linked with other teams and me given the choice to say things like "im commited to the club" or "no comment" or "i would want to join that club" i think that would make it a real amazing experience if you really could control the type of stuff that happens rather than playing a game and getting a message sayinng "you have been bought by Chelsea" for example.

Just realised with 4 seasons how many clubs could you play for? pretty crap thinking about it.

Be a pro mode can become very deep all depends on how far EA going to take it im sure some great stuff to come. It needs more then 4 seasons though i feel everything going to feel abit rushed in that timeframe.

THis is EA, they will feed the Be A pro experience to us gradually just like they did with manager mode.

Its to keep u buying each version they put out

If we can use the d-pad for player control, doesn't that mean that movement is still 8 way only?

I like the sound of be a pro season but why only 4 seasons? They always have to do something to piss you off don't they... Imaging creating like a 17 year old and playing through 15 seasons, that would be pretty neat. That would let you have a career in many countries and many leagues... but no, four season is enough!


Could someone explain what they are talking about here, I don't get it:

EDIT: oh its when players call for through balls and stuff

"I like the players calling for the ball as well."

i guess they would have made animations where the players gets angry if he doesnt receive the ball???

I feel the night lighting in FIFA 08 is far too dark, with the edges of the pitch almost in darkness. It looks ridiculous and I can't believe EA thought it was ok. It seems to have been improved in EURO 2008 though, so it should be fixed in 09.

Yes Sony did not want a prayer gesture in FIFA. Politically correct. They think that only Christians put their hands together so it might affect their large Muslim, Jewish, Hindu, Buddhist, Zoharastrian and Rastafarian audiences. :)

D-PAD!! No! This means that it can only be a maximum of 16-way! And to think I thought that EA would be the first company to offer 360 degree motion control after Namco.

How do you get 16 directions from a D-Pad?

There's only 8 possible directions

D-Pad is useless. You can't use manual shot with D-Pad, but then again, why involve skills when you can play the easy way like in PES.

I'm disappointed in the news that you can use the D-pad again. I was hoping EA were working towards better analogue control (maybe 360 degrees one day) but instead they've pandered to the D-pad crowd who can't move with the times.

A real shame.:((

It's like I said all these moaning little bastards going on and on about "OH I WANNA PLAY WITH THE D-PAD".

It has come back to bite them in the arse. No 360 movement with a d-pad, mr to retarded to play with sticks.
