They were after Thiago Silva this summer and will probably push for him next season.

Why the hell doesn't Barcelona sign a quality backup CB?

What's this I hear about 4 La Liga teams unable to find shirt sponsers?
NEVER![]()
I know it sucks but they tried to include him back in the Ibra deal and Thiago said Barcelona contacted him this summer. He is a defender that is great with his feet. Looking at the caliber of players they bought as rotation players, no doubt he will be next on their list. Knowing us, we won't sell until he is past his peak, if he ever is. Don't worry.
yes, 4 clubs wihtout sponsor, villarreal, atletico madrid, valencia, and sevilla or osasuna..i don't remember

Cesc 3 match 3 titles...xD]

Hey hey, not so fast boy, 2 matches 2 titles (which is the same amount of titles he conquered in 8 years at Arsenal).![]()

). Valencia looked very strong during some moments, I guess they will make things harder when the Giants face them, the team just need to be more concentrated during the whole match and keep the pressure on. Amazing comeback in the last quarter by the way. Stop exagerating...
I saw that match live and yes Barcelona were fantastic. Villareal are a good team but in the second half they seemed a sunday league team. I was impressed by Motta and his combination with Messi, which led to Messi's (second?) goal. Fantastic, ball possession of 71% and this against Villareal... Was also impressed by the understanding between Fabregas and Messi.
And yet...it could have turned.
When leading 1-0 Valdes made a miraculous save. This could well have been the turning point of the match. Other "negative" points: Sanchez still has to get used to Barcelona's style of playing and the way Villa was ignored when he came in for Pedro (but by that time the match was decided a long time, so maybe i'm too harsh).
Conclusion: fantastic performance, but the prizes are dealt in May...will Barcelona have that form until the end of the season...it's only 3 points.
