FC Barcelona Thread

I see what you're saying but I find it hard to believe that Barca couldnt have him 3 years ago when they're able to splash crazy money on Ibra and Villa. To me that just means Barca still had doubts about whether he's worth spending a lot of money for. But then Fabregas grew as a player and now Barca finally see that he is worth the "crazy" money, so now they've come back for him.
I can see how it's unfair with the way Arsenal signed him, and it could be argued that he's like a child who was taken away from his parents (Barca) at a young age. But I still think Arsenal made him the player he is today, and the fact that he's now worth so much is proof of this.
It's just like Cristiano Ronaldo. His style of play is nothing like a typical EPL player. England just doesnt produce players of that skill and flair. But United still made him physically and mentally stronger so we can say we made him the player he is today even though he probably learnt all his tricks and skills back in Madeira. Yes Fabregas plays like a Barca player but Ronaldo also plays like in a more flamboyant Brazilian/Portugese style and looks like a player more suited for La Liga, but there's no denying that he's a player made at United.

That why i can`t understand how some support more than 1 club.Surely ,you may like and favor them in another league . I love and I`m true to my wife ... I admire other women but that`s as far as I go

I like RM ,Barca,Ajax,BocaJr, Sporting, America,NY Red Bull,Stuttgart,Hearts,Napoli,St Etienne ,Puerto Rico Islanders ,Miami FC and Orlando Titans in 2012 . I favor them well RM not so much know w/ Mourinho there so I might favor a new Valencia they make the best Paella Valenciana there

made is to complete built is more of assembled but not finished and Ronaldo /Cesc became more complete in England its better to finish then to start....starting is a risk and finish is understood.

Yeah but Ronaldo's mama and that chippendale made him in the back of a milkfloat in Madeira and Cescy's mama and papa made him in the toilets of a Paella restaurant in Barcelona. Then United and Arsenal built them up to be more than they were and sold them on at a huge profit.

Allegedly.

Fabregas has also admitted he has been frustrated at being left on the bench for the finals, with Xabi Alonso, Sergio Busquets and Xavi filling the central midfield berths for Vicente del Bosque so far.

"I always want to play. I'm not used to sitting on the bench and I want to be playing at this World Cup," he said.

"I'm always competitive at everything - even on the PlayStation. But that's my desire to win and I have that even in training.

fab thinking of staying

Its a bit sad really. After failing to get into the Spain side, he's realising it's gonna be just as hard or even harder to get into the Barca side, especially since Spain and Barca are almost the same team.

Translation = I want to go but Wenger doesn't have a replacement cause of Ramsays injury so I might stick it out 1 more year.

The sad news arrived today. Toure is already a Man City player.

I hope he plays 100% of the minutes there, as that was his only problem here at Barcelona. I can't understand how things have come to that, being him one of the best, if not the best, DMF in the world. He's going to a team that play very different to Barcelona, and sincerely I doubt he'll make there the impact he had in our team. :WORSHIP:

He and his agent have acted strange lately, and now we can't do a thing to retain him. Good luck Yaya and hope you come back soon when you realise the Premier is not for you! :OOOH:

He left Barca ,because he knew Guardiola preferring SB to Toure as Barca's holding midfielder simples! Sergio Busquets is the man at the helm and Guardiola`s project . You`ll see he`ll be good for it too.

You now have 60m for fabregas

edit:

Barcelona wont get Fabregas and wont spend 50m on him because they know for fact that they will hardly use him. he'll be barcelona's super sub and no matter how good a player is, 50m for a bench warmer is too much for a club.

A team spends 50m on a first team world class player, not a bench warmer. Barcelona realizes this and has even stated they wont break the bank for him either. not because they dont have the money(they do they just sold Toure) They cant justify the price tag for a bench warmer.

I was strongly against Yaya's sale too. That was until we realized how much Man city paid for him!! :D

Now I can fully understand the sale. Especially with Pep preferring Busquets.

Not that Yaya isn't worth that much. He IS. He's the best. Great player leaves Barca but at least they got great $$$ for him.

oh my god....chigrinskiy come back to shacktar donekts...

this is the worst transfer in barcelona history...

Puyol and Pique put him the shirt by surprise. He pulled it out as soon as he could but his "friends" have put him in a difficult situation...

Arsene Wenger last night snubbed Barcelona’s attempts to set up a World Cup summit over Cesc Fabregas.

Barcelona president Sandro Rosell flew into South Africa hoping to meet with Wenger and Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis before last night’s World Cup final.

But Mirror Sport can reveal that Wenger and Gazidis refused to meet with Barcelona this weekend - and have reiterated their message that Fabregas is not for sale at any price.

It is a hammer blow to Barcelona’s attempts to sign Fabregas and Arsenal will not back down on the issue, having already turned down an offer of £30m

Wenger and Gazidis are making the issue a point of principle and, even though Barcelona are likely to make an increased offer of up to £40m, they will find that Arsenal will not enter into discussions let alone sell.

Barcelona’s attempts to unsettle Fabregas have infuriated Arsenal and they are digging in their heels as they stick to their guns over their 23-year-old captain.

Fabregas told Wenger face-to-face that he wants to join Barca and expected that to help push through his dream move to the Nou Camp.

But Arsenal have remained defiant and their strong stand has now left Fabregas facing up to the prospect of another season at the Emirates.

Arsenal insist Fabregas has five years left on his current deal, he extended his contract and therefore the club do not have to sell.

Fabregas, who has avoided talking openly and publicly about the transfer saga, even hinted last week that he may still be at Arsenal next season.

That represents a U-turn on his part and possibly even backtracking to appease the Arsenal fans after realising Wenger is determined not to sell him this summer.

Midfield ace Cesc Fabregas is remaining coy on his club future following Spain's World Cup triumph on Sunday.

The Arsenal captain's value no doubt soared after he was brought on as a substitute in the late stages of Spain's decider against Holland to devastating effect.

After the 23-year-old had tested Dutch goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg, he then fed Andres Iniesta with a cushioned pass to set up the extra-time winner.

Fabregas, who has five years remaining on his Emirates contract, has been strongly linked with a move back to his boyhood club Barcelona, with Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger having already turned down a €35million (£30m) offer for the midfielder.

But the Gunners skipper, who has expressed his desire to make a Camp Nou comeback, is keeping his cards close to his chest on whether the switch will materialise.

"All I can say is that this (World Cup victory) is for all the Arsenal players and fans, they are a world-class club," said Fabregas after Spain's 1-0 victory.

"I am an Arsenal player and proud to be."

Dude that's some childish thinking. Will you please show me where did the Football Club Barcelona appear in there? And what did it do.

Or you can just see it for what it is and accept the fact that even though your captain loves your club there is another one which is closest to his heart and now he was confronted by people from that club [careful! people, not the club as an entity] whom he knew and admired as a kid and who want him back. Ffs, his best friend is Pique and favourite all-time player Guardiola. Do the names sound familiar? Reina was also in La Masia and might have known Checks as a kid.

He gave some very decent comments and tried not to offend anyone, especially the Arsenal fans he undoubtedly loves. You should bask in that instead of acting like a.

puyol plays for barcelona right?

Your president came out and said we will get fabregas right?

Your local paper in spain keep banging on how fabregas wants to leave right?

Its clear that barcelona are using dirty tricks to lure fabregas away from arsenal. Pulling off that stunt yesterday was the nail in the coffin mate. pretty much confirmed how desperate you lot are in getting him.

how many times i gotta say this. give us 50m and his all yours. stop fucking around and just hand us the cash.

€50 million will bankrupt them - Barca have had to take a €150m loan just to secure player wages.

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2010-...r-s-club-seeks-loan-to-pay-players-wages.html

If they do buy Fabregas it could break them financially.

And thats not arsenals problem thats their problem. if they want fabregas so baddly, give us 50m and his all yours. if you cant afford him. jog along mate.

How many times we gotta repeat ourselves. who cares if their in a financial crysis. you really think arsenal or ANY club would lower their price tag for a player just to suit the potential buyer? what fucking world do you live in mate LOL.

Could be a good move though, if Wenger says he'll sell him for €50m now, cash upfront, it will force Barca's hand.

They either produce the cash (which will bankrupt them and begin the disintegration of the club, allowing Arsenal to sign him back in 2-3 years for half the price) or admit they are in financial trouble and can't afford Fabregas.
