I see what you're saying but I find it hard to believe that Barca couldnt have him 3 years ago when they're able to splash crazy money on Ibra and Villa. To me that just means Barca still had doubts about whether he's worth spending a lot of money for. But then Fabregas grew as a player and now Barca finally see that he is worth the "crazy" money, so now they've come back for him.
I can see how it's unfair with the way Arsenal signed him, and it could be argued that he's like a child who was taken away from his parents (Barca) at a young age. But I still think Arsenal made him the player he is today, and the fact that he's now worth so much is proof of this.
It's just like Cristiano Ronaldo. His style of play is nothing like a typical EPL player. England just doesnt produce players of that skill and flair. But United still made him physically and mentally stronger so we can say we made him the player he is today even though he probably learnt all his tricks and skills back in Madeira. Yes Fabregas plays like a Barca player but Ronaldo also plays like in a more flamboyant Brazilian/Portugese style and looks like a player more suited for La Liga, but there's no denying that he's a player made at United.
