FC Barcelona Thread

So it seems we've signed Ibrahimovic and Eto'o and Hleb would go to Inter. Great news in my opinion! Eto'o is to me the best striker in the world, but his time in barcelona was finished because of his attitude. He was ending contract next year and wanted a lot of money. I prefer Ibrahimovic over Villa everyday. Ibra has aerial play, can play as a pivot, is a great assister and a constant threat from long range.

I hope it's made official during the day. Great signing. Now there's only a CB, a DMF and a left winger left.
 
Well it could be a good attack, but i still don't know if his ego won't ruin the teams strong union. Ibra is quite a bitch at time and wants to do stuff all by himself (and he is 27/28 or whatever) so he still has a lot to prove to us barça fans that he deserves to be in place of Etoo. But, at the same time etoo is a great finisher but can't see beyod what is in front of him, that maybe why guardiola (and the contract bitching) wants some1 technically better and with a better vision.
All in all, an attack of: Henry Ibrahimovic Messi is hot as hell, so much versatility, its like having 3 players with Free Role in the attack.
But lets wait and see, btw Villa would be just wasting 50M on a player that wouldn't have so much fantasy and versatility.
 
^^ I agree about the mentality problem we can have with Ibra, but on the other side he's so gifted technically and physically...

Eto'o will be a very good signing for Inter, also. Eto'o is one of the best strikers in the world and I liked him very very much. It's sad to see him leaving. He's played 5 delightful years at barcelona and won 2 Champions (and scored in both!). Hope we don't encounter him in the chamions...
 
--Milito--Eto'o---? Surely thats how it was going to be anyway with Ibra instead of Eto'o anyway.

I think Ibra is going to great, he gets a lot of stick from people for "bottling it" etc and all this nonsense but he's IMO one of the best players out their. A attack of Henry, Ibra and Messi is just sensational.
 
Yeah Adriano's gone, not sure that Arnautovic has actually signed yet and anyway him and Cruz probably aren't good enough to be a first choice so that just leaves Balotelli and Milito so Eto'o will be a starter no problem.

Ibra Messi and Henry is le sex, almost as good as Rooney, Berbatov and Welbeck ;)

WTF! didnt City offer 25million for eto... so Barca values Eto??? 40+ Eto/Helb (he`s shit anyways )= Ibra . Has this bloke ever won Golden Boot ,Player of the Season or anything short listed in awards?? He did well w/ Inter don`t think he can contribute the same to Barca. I think David V. would have been a perfect fit hell give Valencia 15 + Eto/ Helb
 
Eto'o won't go to Valencia. In fact eto'o value on the market considering he's got only 1 year of contract was less than 20 m€. Considering he wants 15 m€ of any transfers, that lefts barcelona 5 m€ if we sell him. So, giving eto'o and hleb (I pray to god he actually leaves) and 40 m€ for Ibra sounds to me a good price, specially by letting 2 players that were totally unsatisfied here.
 
Villa = 50 Million paid, no trades or whatsoever they wanted a huge inflated price for a not so asked player. Only Real wanted him and yet, even with their huge transfer budget they didn't accept the 50 price tag, why would Barça do it?
Ibra will surely bring creativity and the finish of etoo to that position. I just don't get why every moans about Ibra so much, he was the best player in Inter last season and he almost pushed the team forward during all season. Ask any Calcio fan here, he was no doubt the best player Inter had, period. Besides, Etoo always had stupid ass attitudes, like not liking Ronaldinho, wanted a better contract over and over again, you can almost compare him to Ade except for the constant moaning about the other players.
Ibra just needs to get his Attitude sorted and understand that if he moves to Barcelona, that is Messis empire and he won't be the Center of the Universe any more and that Pass is the first option not a third option like he used to do in Inter.
 
Put it this way, Ibra has outshone Kaka in the Calcio over the last few seasons, a player who moved to Real for £56m.
 
He's a good player, no doubt about it but giving 2 players plus an additional £35million is as mad as Ronaldo's price tag if you ask me.
 
Even if one of those players is ending his contract and refuses to renew? Even if the other one is not liked by the coach but nobody else wants to buy him?
 
I think I'd probably look at it differently if Barca got a bit of that money back if Inter decided to make the Hleb transfer permanent in a years time.
But £35million is already a lot of money and Barca are giving too extra players to Inter as well. Just sounds desperate to me.

You're also forgetting the fact that he can hold up the ball a lot better than Eto'o and is much more of an aerial threat than Eto'o.
 
This means the David Villa deal is off right, so what happens to Keirrison?
He could go straight to Barcelona, it could turn out to be quite a surprise for some, he is a very talented player, not a consistent goal scorer, but could become in a couple of years, playing with a team that create loads of opportunities like Barca.
IMO better than the overrated Bojan.

Man I am really excited about Milito-Eto'o setup.

Milito is probably the most underrated striker in the game. I used to orgasm watching him in Zaragoza. Clinical finisher, great on the ball. Perfect. Perfect. Perfect. I think Milito is actually one of my favorite strikers.

Yeah, Guardiola said that if Keirrison comes it's to be loaned.

Probably because of the max 3 non-EU limit.
As far as i know Hleb, Caceres, Henrique and Keirrison are non-EU. One must go, though probably more will.

Good to see Yaya finally got his passport. [according to wiki] but i don't remember hearing about it.
