He was bought from Palmeiras in mid 2008, and immediately went to B.Leverkusen by loan..

Copa del Rey final, 55th minute, 1-1. Messi scores a goal and i notice two people in the Bilbao penalty area: Pique and Puyol. In mid-match they both went up. Then images of Pique against Real come to mind... Puyol against Manchester. I LOVE this. (I actually placed a bet on Puyol scoring in the final - 67 to 1)

So THANK you, Barcelona. I'd bow for this type of play even if it was Real Madrid who were doing it. THIS is football.

*Pique wasn't brilliant enough when he played for Man, but i as a cule need to thank him. Also... i think it shows that he plays for "his" club :) It shows where his heart is.

I dont think we need him Zlatan is slow and cant see him fitting our style really...
 
Ibra is class, One of my favourate players. Shame he isn't rated in this country. He's got the skill factor of a Ronaldo and the class of Berba. He won't score the same amount as a Eto'o but he'll create so much more for others. Would add a new dimension to your side which is always good after such a good season.

Zlatan would/will be the death of our posession. Everyone PLEASE remember any Champions League inter games -vs Manchester, vs. Villarreal in which he played. He either was null (never to be seen in play) or a dead-hand. I truly think that IF the big summer transfers are Kaka to Real and Zlatan to Barca the title might be theirs.
 
:LOL: Your kidding right? Real could sign Kaka, Ronaldo and Zlatan and they wouldn't be favourates, Their defence and midfield isn't top quality. Barca have a settled side. Agreed Zlatan has a shocking record in Europe but im sure at Barca were the markers are more concerned with Messi/Iniesta/Henry etc then he'll be given that room to show his quality.

Is Pep really letting go Bojan or is that just a speculation? He is one of the hottest prospects to the future in Europe, he can't let him go like that.

They don't need anyone at this moment in time, If they can keep hold of their players their fine. If Eto'o is off then Villa would be the most likely option.
 
They wanted Ribery, but Madrid has broken the market rules spending money they don't have, so now Ribery costs double. In this situation it's not clear who's going to come. We don't spend public money, so maybe three or foor team players will come. They talked about Srna from Shakhtar (I like him very much), Bruno Alves from Porto, Macherano and Villa, Ribery or Young, but maybe they will only sign 3 of them.

We need a couple of midfielders, though, because there's the african cup in january and we loose Keita, Toure and etoo...

wanted: 3/4 players, by the middle of august.

Negotiations were held for Deportivo's Filipe Luis (LB) - paused till Depor find themselves a replacement.

2 Shakhtar players - Srna (deal fell because of money) and CB Dmytro Chygrynskiy (22y, allegedly 15 mil. euro). Bruno Alves is still monitored, but an offer has yet to be made.

Midfield - Barca needs to have 6 midfielders so another DM is needed. Mascherano seems to be the best option right now, but difficult negotiations with L'pool are expected.

CF is the position with the biggest problem. Eto'o is on the transfer list, and the price asked is around 60 mil. euro, in hope that one of the english giants will put an offer.

Barca is interested in Forlan and Villa. Forlan's problem seems to be the 36 mil. euro release clause, because the club won't pay that much for a player over 30. As for Villa it's expected that once the Confed Cup is over he'll choose between Real and Barca, despite just having been declared "unreleasable" by Valencia.

LWF is another troublesome position. Because of Real Ribery's pricetag seems to have drastically increased. Discussions with Bayern were ceased for now. A Robinho loan is also an option. Other club interests are Valencia's Juan Mata or Villa's Ashley Young, but the two are unlikely to be sold and no offer has yet been made.

Eto'o won't go for more than 20M. He's only got a year left on his contract so will end up going for nothing next summer.

it'd be dumb to do that.. like u said, he's one of the greatst prospects, has ability, knows how to score goals, surely will be a great Forward in future

Ribery would fit perfectly at Barça's play.. and I'd love to see that happen
but Real really messed up all the market with the crazy money amounts..

now, ppl talked about Ibra, the negociations are over?
Cuz I saw some news about Barça and Inter presidents saying they had a meeting but both like too much their players (eto'o/ibra) and would not make the trade
but we know how this things work.. in one day the transfer is impossible, on the other they're announcing it officially..

also Zhirkov, from CSKA, could be a nice option..
he did a great Euro08 by Russia, and I heard a little about Barças interest on him

Ibrahimovic is said to be too expensive; somewhere around Eto'o + 30 mil. euro. I wouldn't throw so many money. He may be good, but.. c'mon - Eto'o is a good striker and only one of two to have scored in two UCL Finals.

I think Ribery's agent repeatedly said that he prefers Real Madrid over Barcelona so it seems rather unlikely. Thing is his good friend Zidane is there, his wife wants him to go there... basically all the people surrounding him.

I honestly think Bojan would be offered to Valencia or someone as a loan. Depends on whether Eto'o leaves, Villa comes and what other transfers are being made.
 
yeah, I heard about the money for Ibra.. and I agree, thats too much money, Eto'o is a great striker and Ibra is not worth him + 30 million..
he's a great player, sometimes makes genious plays, but is not worth that much money

and if Bojan goes out on a loan then its ok.. he's too young and is nice to get experience playing regularly on other team.. but also as u said, depends on what goes on, if he'll have space on the team and everything else..
 
Well, I'm quite angry with transfer rumours. Letting go Etoo for Villa is a tremendous mistake. No way on earth I could understand that.

villa is a good striker, but he's not better than etoo in any particular skill. Etoo is the best defender striker, one of the quickest finishers in the world and he's got determination and will to win. Villa lacks a lot of these things and all of them are needed to be the striker in Guardiola's tactics.

I really don't rate Villa as a top striker. He just shoots everything he can, his efficiency is very very low in my opinion.

I would prefer Ibrahimovic if Etoo leaves but I know it won't happen. Ibra is not as intense in defense, but he's got vision and a lot of technique and he also has good aerial play, something both Villa and Etoo are lacking severely.

A final thought: I wish Larsson was 10 years younger to take him again. He was the man.
 
Villa's a goalscoring beast though Drekkard, He's played less games than Eto'o, in a much inferior side and bagged as many goals. I think Villa is also a great link up forward. Saying that theirs REALLY no need for the swap other than the fact Eto'o has a year left on his contract and wants megabuck which City will offer him.

Villa IS a top class striker.

He's more clinical than Eto'o as well.

If he excels at a team that is not fulfilling their potential, then how will he do in a team that is the finished article?
