May suit HIS ability more, but it doesn't suit ME to see Caceres play. Or Milito for that matter. If needed, i'll try Xavi-Iniesta as the CB pair before i try Caceres-Milito for the UCL final.

That's why we need Drogba. As a CB backup :)) He always gets the ball. Great at positioning and jumping.
 
wow! barca 80min.. looked like a whale playing with seals they even sub more fresh seals throughout. Pique 5 million golden carrot :))
 
Yeeeesss! We won! It was really strange until the etoo goal. Then the real barcelona appeared. We missed so much Abidal and Alves in the first half. I didn't like Puyol diving in one play, but he performed really well. Manchester was a great opponent, they were unlucky in the first minutes but played bravely an offensive.

Pique is Piquenbauer! The best central defender in Barcelona (and one of the best in the world, too). And Xavi, Iniesta, Messi, Etoo... too much quality there! Don't spoil it next year!

And finally, congrats to Guardiola. In his first year, the treble! Amazing. He really makes the difference. Now to celebrate with my family!

Very well done. You showed exactly why Utd can't out-Barca Barca, and why we desperately need to toughen up our midfield. Xavi and Iniesta could have played for a much weaker team than Barca and still won this game, let alone all the other quality you have.
 
Congrats, You deserve it, Barcelona have dethroned us as the best and if im honest im glad its a team as good as yours well done. :SAL:

Thx to all of you! Hope to find you again in a final! We won the cup oday, but nearly ten years ago our city helped you to win it, so now we're at peace with each other!

One thing we're specially proud of:
We won the cup with 7 players raised in our own club playing the starting eleven.

Valdes, Puyol, Pique (even if left for man for two years), Busquets, Xavi, Iniesta, Messi. Well done, boys! At the end, money is not everything, you have to form players and make them love football.

We have a style and we're committed to it. 7 players raised in the club is something we didn't see in a final since.. Ajax, maybe?

During the season also Bojan and Pedrito played some matches, so it's up to 9 players who contributed to the treble. That's the way and more clubs should follow this way.

Yep, and not only Spaniards,they were grown in our own club and 5 of them are catalans. That makes us very very proud!
 
So happy for Iniesta. He was always a decent looking player but you kinda felt he would be muscled out of the club by some superstar at some stage. Instead he's kept his head down, gone from strength to strength and now established himself as one of, if not THE linchpin of the side. Just an outstanding, understated magician on the ball and a pure joy to watch.

Piqué was perfect, and Toure was really good too.. 2 tall defenders but both have quality on passing and getting the ball to the midfielders or even the forwards

and Guardiola did an awesome job.. and in his 2nd year as professional coach, very competent and also very lucky

Eto'o also was great, ManU only attacked on the first 10 minutes, and at the only real chance of scoring, he got it..
after that MU started to lose the game, missing passes, not able to keep the ball.. totally outplayed by Barça..

thats really great.. while other teams spend fortunes with players to make their squad, Barça has high quality players on its Youth academy..

and what a game Xavi and Iniesta played.. Iniesta lowed his level on the end of the 2nd half but he was not at 100%, talking about his muscular condition..
but both were great, Iniesta could get 2 good freekicks for Barça near the box, one almost turned in a goal from Xavi..
and Xavi is the master in passes, he puts where he wants too.. the cross to Messi on the 2nd goal was awesome, and so was the header


oh, btw, u people have GIFs from the final?
 
What an astonishing season! Simply the best club this year. Probably will take a while to happen again. :applause:
 
2 champions leagues in 4 years!!! Best team in Europe, straight up!!! What you need to do now is dominate for the next few years To become one of the best club teams ever.
 
Simply football, we're nº1 now, but im sure we will play against United very soon because United is a fantastic team.

Piqué is one of the best defenders of the world and Xavi and Don Andres are the best midfieldels..... and what about Messi...... No words for say

What about Messi? He was pretty anonymous until his goal, even the most ardent of Barca fan has to admit that. (I'm a huge Leo fan so I don't want to sound bitter)

Iniesta and Xavi are a class apart from any other midfielders on this planet and they were the difference (and would be the difference against any team).

yeah, Messi didnt appear so much..
but he always had too much marking, I remember a play where 3 MU players made a sandwich with him, and he still managed to get out with the ball, but the referee gave a freekick

and when he had some space he tryed some plays, though most of them for the team, not individual.. he wasnt brilliant, but made a good game..

but for sure Xavi and Iniesta the greatest ones
