I agree with most of that, but I think the first peno claim in the first half was a peno, but the others were correct decisions by the ref, see ya in rome in 3 weeks, cant wait
 
Briljant! The crap referee, the 2 pen's not given (the valid ones), Cheating Drogba going mental, Terry nearly crying...again, Terry moaning about a handball in the area: "mister spread-eagle defending" himself.

good game and happy barca went through. im sick and tired of people playing 10 man behind the ball all the time.

First and foremost, imo the ref made the right decisions with the penalty claim.

first one happened outside the box but whistle was blown when they was inside the box.

2nd incident was a no no. drogba dived like a idiot. yes the barca player held his shirt but once he let go, a few seconds later drogba dived as if someone shot him in the back.

3rd. you got to be kidding me although i have seen them being given. it was a blatent BALL TO HAND, nothing more.

The sky sports presenters ie redknapp and co where so bias i was laughing in stiches. They was asked a simple question wheaver that barca player gerard deliberately handballed in the last penalty claim and they all diddnt answer it :LMAO:

The way the chelsea players reacted after the final whistle was unbelievable. talk about being a sore loser.

What also amazes me is Anelka's dive. i thought drogba was bad but anelka? jesus, that was terrible and shocking coming from a player like him. absolutely pathetic and a cheating scum. He SHOULD be punished for that IMO. totaly out of order in getting a man sent off.

indeed, fits of laughter. The game showed Chelsea up for what most of their players are.

Drogba did indeed go down to easily for his pen shout, and the first incident? 50/50 really, they got the freekick after all, and nearly scored from it.
 
Fantastic and lucky win. Chelsea deserved to win today, but we deserved it last week.

I think Guardiola was wrong. Toure should play as DMF, he's slow and skilled and he is fantastic as DMF and only average as a central defender. On the other hand, Busquets is atrocius, I really don't like him at all. He did nothing and was lost in the pitch, and it was worse by having Keita at his side. This year we haven't won a single match with Busquets and Keita as starters. What was Guardiola thinking?

I would have put Abidal as central defender and Silvinho on the left, Toure as DMF with Xavi and Iniesta at his side and Messi, Etoo and Hleb forward. Midfield is very important to us, and we deliver when Xavi and Iniesta play together with Toure. Please, Pep, don't do this again in the final or we're lost!
 
Congratulations, You lot got a huge slice of luck tonight but I can't fault your teams desire and fight to keep playing the way you do. Messi was awfully quite again but Iniesta was top draw today, Can't wait for the final hopefully it lives up to the hype.

I doubt it mate, We can Defend like Chelsea yes but we can attack like Barca aswell, We'll see how your backline can cope with the likes of Ronaldo, Rooney, Tevez, Berbatov, Anderson Giggs etc :))
 
Yep, Will be extremely makeshift backline. thinking about it a Rooney-Tevez strikeforce could be lethal.

ROFLLL are you serious????? Toure is THE ONLY reason why we had a chance to win this game... he was AMAZING probably is best defensive performance EVER and that as a CB. he got drogba completly off his game. if pep had put abidal as a CB we would have lost this like 3-0 period.

No dont keep him as a CB but he damn saved us from misery today =p

with this game he just turned himself into a 20million euro DmF price tagged player.
 
I think Puyol was out on yellow cards. He will be back in the final, probably play as a RB.

He played fairly well for being a DMF, but there were 4 times he miscommunicated with Pique breaking the line, that for Barcelona is crucial. I'm not criticizing his position as much as the fact that it made Busquets into midfield with Keita.

I'm a big fan of toure, only that he is the best DMF in Europe in my opinion and should play DMF. Busquets is a disgrace, he looses position everytime and doesn't have the impressive first touch Toure has. I've played half my life as DMF, I really know what's needed there.

Against Man Utd, Toure is of vital importance in midfield with Xavi and Iniesta (hoping Messi, Etoo and Henry play upfront), and in defence we can play Puyol, Pique, Silvinho and Caceres. Really.
 
The real question (and posed to me by my girlfriend) is how Iniesta can spend the majority of his waking days in the sun of Barcelona, and be that pale. He is positively translucent.

Great footballer though.

My thoughts exactly, don't know why some managers like to get creative and ruin team chemistry. That midfield needs to be the same every game, Toure, Iniesta and Xavi. Everything is built around that...
 
caceres is nowhere near to be a physical defender, he can probably play in spain but no way hes going to be a threat versus a guy fast and strong like didier drogba. puyol was out of yellow so he'll be back for the final.

and Im kind of happy that daniel alvez will be out of the final, he played like CRAP during the 2 legs and couldnt put a decent cross all game long, he cant play a physical game cause it affect is performance horribly, He was the most disapointing Barcelona players for this leg, Im glad he wont be a part of the final really...
 
I agree that Daniel Alves was terrible yesterday.. none of his crosses worked, all of them were too long, but Keita wasnt playing well also..
he was terrible while in the midfield, he had a ball inside the area and shot it off the stadium.. but as a LeftBack he did well..


I couldnt watch the pre-game so I missed some informations.. Puyol was out for yellow cards, and what about Henry? injuried?? Barça missed him a lot..
 
yep I agree Henry was missed during this leg, iniesta play better in the middle, hes too predictible on the wings.


Drekkar, Canceres should not play in the final, hes just not physical enough to do so...and nore got enough experience, to me the backline should be sylvinho puyol pique keita with the traditional toure iniesta xavi in the middle and the traditional front 3.
 
As long as toure, xavi and iniesta are in midfield and Henry can play, I think we'll have an splendid match. Change this and we can't win. The worst player in my opinion was, by far, Busquets. A complete disaster organizing and defending.
 
looks like Henry might struggle to make the final according to newspaper reports
 
He'll make it IMO, I just think Barca won't risk him before it though. Sheazy will need to be on his game, I think he'll be their biggest threat.
 
I am very pesimistic about the treble. Iniesta may be injured for the rest of the season, as well as Henry, and we have a lot men out of games because of cards. I think we have the best starting eleven of europe, but our bench does lack a lot of depth, and this can be a disaster now in the final weeks of competition. Our players are and feel very tired and if it's really true that Iniesta and Henry can't play the champions final, then I really doubt we can do anything. Add to that the Marquez injury and Alves and Abidal who can't play... it's half of the team out!

yaya toure's goal was ill
big fan of his, but you think he's cut out for the cb position? i think midfield suits his ability more
 
Champions! We should have won the title last week in the pitch, but as long as we win at the end, it's fine. We've been the best team in the world this season in terms of goals scored, goals conceded and wins. Now there's only the topping left...
