does anyone get extreme input lag while playing online modes?
also the game seems to be broken entirely online. you pass and it hits and opponent the ball bounces back to him in a better position. extremely slow defenders. trough balls are unbalanced as hell. teammates bump into you. to me it seems they have done a mess.
I just played an online game. What a fuckin atrocity is this game. I played city against inter. I don't think KDB made one sticking pass, everything went awol. Wow I don't really like the offline part but the online part is a lot worse. It's so scripted. I play PA1 but it doesn't matter, the game decides where your balls go apparently. I played a lob through my attack by just lightly tapping the button. Rodrigo however made it his to almost shoot this ball. Ball out of bounds ofcourse, the fuck... Players are extremely slow, they make stupid runs. L1 works worse online too. Players bumping into each other and they stay there for a couple secs. I don't get the praise this game gets at all. To me its a really boring update compared to pes 2019 but you know Konami, masters of deception. Not playing this game online anymore. Why doesnt rockstar/cdr make a football sim.

Apologies if posted elsewhere, but I've searched and can't find it. We bought the Legend Edition - yeah, I know, but it was my son's birthday money. But, we can't find the Legend Edition content, e.g. Ronaldinho, agents, etc. - does it arrive in the email slot (it's not there) or somewhere else. Thanks.

I would like your opinions here. Excuse me if I will post this in PC as well as console topic
So Konami (per their PES development Facebook page) is declining the community feedback about the game, namely the demo feel and general game play. They said they listened to players and insist that demo was buggy and retail version is the better game. They mentioned that they will continue to improve the general experience but not in the direction of demo game play style.
Honestly, I am playing back and forth between the demo and the retail version. Surprisingly (though I said it many times before that demo feels better) now I can't see THAT much difference in player response, loose situations, ball physics and general game flow. I don't know if we were all preoccupied with the idea that Konami will release a game that is different than the demo.

A question: Can someone, now, concretely, objectively and realistically proof that demo is better than the final current game version? because I honestly can't provide valid and solid facts.
I don't know how you'd like me to prove it but in my experience I can categorically state that the demo is a much, much better game and it's all down to the touch/control/dribble/tricks. They are absolutlely useless/non-existant in the full game. Somebody on here had a video. Basically they've taken the whole premise of what the game was sold on, and completely shit all over it. The two games (demo and full) are night and day in terms of quality.

No worries, I just wanted to test it. The clear divide is between online and offline in terms of scripting. In fact you could say they're almost different games, esp when you get one of those online matches where your team are going through what I call the 'scripting dis-advantage' period, whereby your players don't make supporting runs, the passes are suddenly very inconsistent, players run in mud, AI reads all your tricks and rebounds instantly (i.e. doesn't lose any ground) even when it doesn't, shots become very floaty and linear, tackles and deflections all end up with the AI getting the ball ….etc etc.

That's why I wanted you to try, to see when you think, but no problem gotta protect that OF!

Yes, this is my point. The game has split personality and you will notice it greatly by comparing your experience between online and offline game modes. It's a sham.

Just unlocked Legend difficulty today. I'm proud of myself even though it's still hard for me to score on Super Star sometimes. I get a lot of draws but I don't lose that much either.

honestly what can be done about games disconnecting at halftime???
i tried that vsync thing and it stopped for a bit but today two fucking matches disconnecting, and i get the loss somehow

its frustrating as fuck because during weekdays im usually very tired from work and lose a bunch of games but getting the L and not even being able to play its fucking annoying

Hi everyone, I haven't touched PES for a quite some time (last PES i bought was PES 18). So i've been reading the thoughts on here, and PES 20 sounds promising although there was an interesting post that mentioned how patch 1.2 affected some key components of the gameplay imo. So my question is, if I do get the game, how do I make sure patch 1.2 isn't installed?

I also read someone configured windows firewall such that it prevents PES 20 from connecting to PES servers, can this be used to prevent patch 1.2 installation?

Another related question, can you get the live update with the latest rosters without having any patch installed?

Can anyone help with my questions?

Finished my first season of ML and I am disappointed.

The game feels great on the ball and the attacking AI is pretty fun to play against.

What I don't like though is the defensive AI. Why is it that as soon as I win the ball the AI go charging back to their own box? I can be well into my own half and they still go and sit with their keeper.

What makes it worse is my CF and wingers go with them and just stand there. This leaves about half a pitch between my CAMs and CF. I then have two options, long ground pass up the pitch cutting out the midfield altogether or I can simply just run unchallenged until I reach the edge of the box.

Very poor.

It's down to tactics mate. It's a bit of a chore but if you remove "deep defensive line" from team tactics for every (or most of them) team on your league of choice, things will change. Especially if you're playing in the English leagues where almost every team has these tactics set. It will require a ML restart of course.

Can you tell us about AI variety?

Is there a difference playing against Chelsea or Juventus or Real Madrid?
Is there a difference playing against stronger or weaker teams, at least?
Yes there is. I have two saves now championship and serie b, and even then the difference between play styles is quite apparent to me. It's nothing like Pes 19 in that regard where literally every team plays the same.

Can anyone help with my questions?

I don't want to come off as an *beep* but it was discussed plenty of times in this very same thread.
There's a Search function that you can use to scan the thread for words such as "Option file".
Or better yet, you could use Google or Youtube and type "PES 2020 PC Option File".

A little tip: CYPES (CustomYourPes) Option File is pretty good.
Other options: PES Universe, PESWorld, etc.

Yeah, I had a really lengthy reply here but I could just as well post the Eurogamer article.

It really is a brilliant, broken and bizarre game of football. The article sums up most of my thoughts. Except the shooting wasn't mentioned. The shooting is worse than I think any Football game after 2010 I've tried.

What do you think is bad about the shooting?

Complete lack of variation on basic settings, I'd wager. Every shot has the same kind of power and trajectory. Very little "wow" with the shooting - and also, my terrible players insist on shooting directly at the keeper most of the time. I know my strikers are bad (playing in the lower leagues) but it's infuriating in a good one-on-one situation for your player to consistently hit it straight at the keeper's body. Now and then, sure. But not so often.

All I can say is with basic shooting on Pro level with Master League default players I've not suffered this at all. Yes there are the occasional miss-kicks and off-balance shots, but generally my shots go where I hoped they would (with varying degrees of success). I feel I have lots of choice about how to shoot (sometimes too much meaning I fluff my lines).I find it rare my shot goes at the keeper, except maybe a scramble in the box and on 2 occasions this got me a goal anyway due to the power.

In that case, I'd put it down to Superstar difficulty (where I'm drawing most games 0-0, because both sides have got the whole press-X-to-get-ball-back-automatically thing down). And if the difficulty is affecting my own input (rather than the AI's ability / intelligence)... That's a pretty poor way to do it (Top Player is too easy for me on PA1, but I don't like the PA0 experience, so I'm pretty stuck).

Yeah, I use PA0 and will likely switch to manual shooting before I up the difficulty level. I generally find that a more satisfying experience.

Game works like charm for me but only in Full HD (no 2K or 4K) with G-sync ON (GTX 1060) plus Samsung LC32 monitor with Freesync 2.0 (HDR on). Even playing online I dont get any stutter. Nothing has been changed in nvidia control panel, I play on defaults.

The huge input lag, correlated with the very low responsiveness of the players, it's the reason why this game is literally unplayable for me online.

If you want to HUGELY enhance your offline gameplay, see Klashman69 tactics thread:
https://www.evo-web.co.uk/threads/pes-2020-tactics-discussion-real-teams-thread.80854/

It GREATLY enhanced the experience (only EPL teams for now). Teams with these tactics are dynamic, attacking and defending beautifully, make mistakes and just play some real football. Konami just crapped their offline game with stupid lazy wrong and unfinished team tactics with default formations!

You have to manually apply the formations though, took me 40 min to do them ingame, well worth it if you ask me.

We wait for a genius who can "inject" these in any edit file.

That's about option files, what about his other question - playing with 1.0 rather than 1.2 gameplay... Is there a mod for this?

Well I think I'll just post my original longer reply, which will answer your question as well.
-------------------------------------------------------------------

This is the Pes to get me back to playing after the horrendous Pes 2015 and it's really bad successors turned me to Fifa until now. Here's my preliminary review after about 30 games (12 minute games).

It really is a game of highs and lows.

Gameplay and tactics:

Almost perfect:

- First touches are magnificent, really makes a difference to have a player with good technique
- Pace of the game (playing on -1) is brilliant. If I could have an inbetween of 0 and -1 would be perfect
- Dribbling is super nice. You can "easily" get past defenders even with slow technical players. Might be a tad too easy with a fast player but it's better dribbling than any football game I've seen yet.

The good:
- Physical contacts are not visually the most pretty, but gameplay wise the loose balls and scrambles from the tackles resemble actual football much more than it's competitor
- Stamina influences players and you can feel it
- The length of the pitch feels somewhat realistic, making long ball tactics more viable

Neutral
- Goalkeeping is mostly alright. Already seen a few really silly clown saves like jumping chest saves to tossers from outside the box (I mean saving with the actual chest with hands on the sides). It's not consistently horrible so by Pes standards this is as good as it gets.
- Animations take a lot of time. For crosses and shots this is good. But for some small dribbling touches it should honestly be more responsive.

Bad

- Shooting is a joke mostly, and not a good one. The shots produced are not consistent with the animations, and the shots are way too accurate and powerful for being shot in difficult angles or volleys. You will see backturned quick turn shots shot to upper corner all game every game. Even tackling the shooter has too little effect on the shooter.
- Placed shots look unreal. Curve of a frisbee.
- Scoring feels really bland for some reason. I think it's just the unrealistic shooting that causes it. Cause you've never seen a real football act like it does in pes when shooting it.

Unacceptably bad

- Players very consistently fail to react to loose balls. This causes situations all around the field.
- Players fail to understand who should go for the ball. This stops many counter attacks when a pass is made to the wingback running forward, but winger further forward comes back to get the ball thus stopping the momentum of the attack. Same situation happens repeatedly with loose balls.
- Overall the AI is just confused a lot of the time
- Defenders in box consistently fail to react to very obvious threats. "Man is dribbling towards net, let's stand here and hope for best".
- Wingers vs fullback gameplay is a joke. Just play a bit on manager mode and look how silly it looks. The full back will shadow the winger for the whole length of the pitch and let him cross. This will happen to your advantage as well when playing.

OVERALL:(for my preliminary games)

All in all. I'm actually slightly positive even though the list is more lengthy on the negative side. The times when the game plays well it really does play the best football I've played. The other times though, jeesh.

I hope they make it their first priority to fix the players reacting to loose balls because it causes a lot of the biggest headaches I've had with the game. Unfortunately, this is Konami and I don't think they've ever listened to feedback and fixed stuff. I've been here a while...

Guys kill me but I cant figure out how to do chest stall. Only Neymar can do it, no Ronaldo, no messi and they have ball control over 90. Any help please
