He's using one of the high rated players in the game and one of the best players in the world today? How is that a fair benchmark?

Compare Barcelona players trying it to this guy. (not the best quality gif sorry, but the pass is rubbish)
giphy.gif
Exactly.
Also i don't see what's the big fuss about this Rakitic gif.
Of course he's gonna play it with his left foot because of how his body is positioned in that moment.
And the pass is not even perfect,it goes more into space, not exactly to his teammate.
Also he's fucking Rakitic! One of the best passers in the world!
I've seen him making more difficult passes than this in real life.

Yeah the Palmeiras vs Flamengo match was pretty good.More scrappy overall with even more slower pace and without perfect controls and passes all the time.Looks like stats will play a bigger role this time hopefully.
Also the physicality looks better in terms of fighting for the ball and general body collisions and leads to less clipping.
In the stream they said that you can also make that desperate attempt to hold the player from the back with pressing x two times.Like the Vidal gif we saw.But obviously the ref gonna punish you.

In general good first impressions for me in that little sample we've seen so far.
Obviously we're gonna have to get the demo to our hands to know for ourselves, but i'm already seeing more difference from 19 to this than from 18 to 19.For me the game is steadily improving year by year.
The good thing is that even if you don't agree with this, you can always play your vintage Pes with your beloved Minanda and Castolo and be happy,if you think that it's so much better with it's 5 animations overall.

i am liking what im seeing AI wise,
also, because of the shitty played game by the guy in control you can see you will miss passes/shots when not well positioned.

again, how can they put somebody with very little skills to demostrate this new game? he plays like try to win whatever the cost as people regularly play online.

Way to ruin a great game demostration

What I'm noticing from this game is that the AI missplaces a lot more passes than in 2019. The player passing still seems a bit laser guided though...

i can tell this is because of the settings, this guy must be playing with PA1 or PA2

Guys! its a 1 vs 1 game. Not vs CPu.

It was actually P1 vs CPU, it was just the P1 who made the penalty.
AI seems to be defending & attacking better.

hopefully they keep playing against AI, that's what i want to see!

also, reove the large screen with the guys in the middle of the screen
i wnat to see the match, not 4 lads sitting in a couch ffs

Did anybody see what difficulty they are playing on? The keeper was just glued to his line during a 1v1.

That MidniteKid isn’t any good for the series either. Just another PES shill.

It’s a hug-a-thon every single year at these press events. “Aren’t we amazing? Isn’t PES amazing? Look how good the faces are and animations!”

Sick of the lot of them I am.

Today's video was a bit better, but not true 1080p or 60 fps.
Is pesuniverse up to uploading videos today?

But if you try that 10 times its successful all 10. Even top players have error in BPL. My thing is a 90 player in 2020 is error free or close to it. Why should you have to play with Brazilian teams to get error ? Just give PES2020 more error in play in bad off balance positions, even with Barca's 90 stat players.
I understand that, but where do you draw the line? If someone with 99 short passing makes as many errors as someone with 60, what would be the point in using the highly ranked players? There has to be a reason to want to use the better players or they may as well put 22 identical players on the pitch.

Let's work it out though - I have no idea what the maths behind the game actually is (% chance of a successful pass etc), but seeing as people are so unhappy about Rakitic successfully making that pass, for the sake of 'realism' lets use him as an example - last season, on average for every 75 passes attempted, he failed only 6. So, in PES, if you were to make, let's say, 15 passes in a match with him, he should miss only 1 (just!).

So you mentioned earlier that you were unhappy Rakitic would complete that pass 10/10 times, well, funnily enough, in real life he fails only 0.8 of every 10 passes he attempts, so that is actually spot on and perfectly within the acceptable level of 'reality'.

I guess I just don't understand how many times people expect the top players in the game to make mistakes? Especially these 5-10 yard passes everyone seems to think are too accurate. That is literally their bread and butter.

I get that the pass in the gif the ball is coming behind him, but it really isn't that difficult for someone of his quality, plus it's not like he pinged it perfectly to Messi anyway. If the defender slowed down even a tiny bit he'd have got it.
