Ps any takers in the "Konami PR disaster" drinking game later on?
Have a shot every time Adam says "AMAZING", "FANTASTIC", or there's a random cut away from gameplay to a different screen?

Don't think I can handle my booze well enough, to be honest!

I do wonder what people expect to change in a football game. It’s not like they can pull a Resident Evil 2 and completely redesign itself. It’s still the same sport, same rules, same camera, and still the same incredibly difficult AI to program.
So if the rules are right and it's football, there's nowhere to go?

FIFA's perfect then, right?

What you're implying is that PES, as an interpretation of football (or even as a GAME) has nowhere to go - when in reality, the basics are a million miles from reality (there are hundreds of things I could mention but I'll just mention two - by default, no pass is ever misplaced, except if it's going out of play - and whereas IN THE PAST teams used to play differently from each other, now the pattern of build-up play is identical for every AI team, so it's actually gone BACKWARDS).

Still my favourite part of yesterday by far:

Anyone who decided to play the PR fail drinking game: rest in peace.

There was an easier way to respond to his statement. All he has to do is to look at other sport games, their modes, careers, gameplay, editing options.. they are all sport games, yet only football games (ironically one of the most popular sports on the planet) are crippled little babies among them.

Times up. It’s over. In one way or another, the games are developing in a direction the most of us don’t like. We live in nostalgia - Also myself. I loved those times. Master League. The development of players. The GAMEPLAY. Wow.
But it's just football games that are so bad in single player mode. I can play plenty of games on Ps4 and still be addicted as i was while young. So, it's not us being old depressed guys, it's them (EA and Konami) releasing such half baked games years after years.

One thing I can definitely notice here is that not everyone has similar expectations from the game, so I'd say it is hard to satisfy everyone.
But then it's all us offline ML players speaking, so KONAMI be like "Meh, whatever. MyClub players are whom we'll hear from."

I know it's not Adam talking right now but... jesus christ I would be wasted already

Since they have ML last on the show,is it because they know a lot of people will see this mumbo jumbo home shopping network?
Better be worth it and not "major improvements...and that's it"

"When you Play PES 2020 you will actually feel like you are playing a real football game"

He probably could have worded that better.

"Striking identity". Kill me.

This is the kind of stuff you do at brand meetings in a marketing department. In-fact, they are marketing buzzwords. You're talking to gamers like potential business partners.

Can you imagine, in a million years, EA starting a FIFA presentation by talking about WHAT THE MODE ICONS ARE THIS YEAR? No. They're capable of updating menus and not trying to MAKE IT INTO A REASON TO SPEND £50!!

What next? "The menu sounds have been improved infinitely, now you can REALLY HEAR it when you click a button."

Do you EVER see other games talk about this stuff?

Imagine the Cyberpunk 2077 guys coming on the stage at E3 to wild applause, Keanu Reeves front-and-centre, techno-rock playing in the background, smoke billowing out across the stage, and then, Keanu opens his mouth...

..."for this game, we wanted a logo that was really zig-zaggy. You're going to LOVE how yellow it is. Fresh."
