Well, we don't have the same tastes at all, except for PES 2014. PES 2012 too, you're the first person i read that it's the best of the 3.
Fifa 12 is for me, in terms of balance not even close to PES 2014, 17, 2019... But i won't say that like if there's an absolute truth, but i've got a very bad experience about this game.

About Fifa 16 too as i've scored so many ressembling goals at this game and really disliked the hybrid Ignite engine, well i'm not a big fan of slidering, i've tried and it makes every "retouch" lookings a bit weird, and never tried it on PC.
So "vanilla" it's not the best Fifa for me, i'll stay with Fifa 11 and 14.

For me, the engine and ATT/DEF balance is the more important, but when a game have something unrealistic that works everytimes, i quit.

Fifa 12 with custom sliders plays just sweet for me.

Of course we don't have the same tastes. I'm a PC player and have always played a different version from the ones on console (last football game I played on console was PES 5). So I'm coming from a PC experience and you are coming from a console "vanilla" one.

People wants PES to be another game. Too much negativity, way too much exageration. They're playing Legends vs Barcelona, on Exhibition match.

You want new experience, wait Cyberpunk PES 2077 and gtfo of the football games scene a little bit, or create a new one by yourselve. I don't post anymore in this thread since 2 years, 80-90% are here for bag-punching. Too much exageration in the negative terms, is that PES or this forum have became a parody?

I'm more on the same way as chiefrocka4real, Klashman, Janguv, and Matt10 on twitter.

Do you really thinked, that in this generation of console, this would be a total different game? About all the time, haven't you understanded how does a yearly game system works?
Have you thinked about how much demanding it should have for having a mix between FM and a classic football game?
Btw, do you have seen any kind of REAL infos about ML? No.

No, seriously that's a bit why it's been two years the main reason i avoid this section.
It's WENB 2.0 now, full of little sarcasm and childish posts here and there that's been really makes my eyes hurts.

I didn't see anywhere that Fifa 12 was the best Fifa, it's a real question but why this one? Tactical defending was "under construction" full of bugs and every finesse shots > goals. Worst Fifa to me, but not the worst game (for me, it's PES 16)

Pes 2013 is in my personnal opinion not bad, but very, very overrated here: no weight, no physicality or inertia, and this one have really 16 directions. If i've got to choose, it should be PES 2011 for this "PS2.5 generation" of game.
I'm perhaps an alien prefers xx times PES 2017 19, even PES 2014. Well i've replayed 2015 and 2018 but no, way too much.

People here seems to have the the same "ideals" when it cames to bashing PES, but want to replay games with much more issues and far less balanced than PES 2017 or 19, overally, and saying thing with no proof (like the 8 directionnal thing: i've proved the contrary... almost 5 years ago, on PES 2015)

Sorry if my post is a little harsh, but it's too much, more "toomuchy" than every Adam or officialpes tweets combinated. I'm too old for this shit.
I shall stay in the edit section than posting my troughts i think.

Do you not think most of us want to be posting about :

how we pulled off a skill combo
our achievements
our MyClub world ranking
our glorious scouting skills
which player fit best in which position
videos of solid gameplay
creating custom friendly leagues etc etc

Does konami provide us, the gamers, with a serious platform from which they can think on how to improve the game?

Lord knows how much time is going into editing/patching the game; let alone playing the game long enough to only discover how poor it is (15 seasons of ML for one guy I read. Just LOL)

The childish posts end when konami start treating its user base like adults

PS I just farted

I didn't expect to see something totally new, something totally different.
I'm glad there is no new engine as we all know what a tragedy PES 2014 was.
Such a good base but so unfinished.

That's the main reason i didn't wanted too big changes, or a new engine for now on.
PES 2018 to PES 2019 have been more and more balanced, tweaked by removing bugs or errors, improved simply...
But sometimes some tweaks to found the right answers could cause the devs to do things ASAP, like the AI a bit boosted in certain situations in PES 2019, even if it don't really ennoy me to be honest because globally i prefer it to all the others of this generation, variety, a bit more fouls, much more directions in terms of shoots etc.

Btw, it won't be from a stream video or people playing in a way that i don't play, on "normal" difficulty, with superheroes players 90 overall running and passing all over the pitch.
It's a bit normal that the games may looks a bit fast.
I can't makes conclusions from something i won't play, and it won't look the same at all on my TV (i'm not a big fan of the new camera, so it will look different)
The only thing i can say, globally, is that i see a bigger difference in the games flows and animations than between PES 2018 and 2019, i remember well of this. For PES 2019, i needed to looks closer too see something different.

But here, we've got clearly a PES Fox engine generation, but averagely different feeling in terms of ball physics, animations, i don't really know about physical contact and small details, also positionning is hard to compare as the camera angle + tactics + difficulty could be misleading.

@Alx1234 but the thing is... There's nothing to really bash or talk. There's not as much informations, and Adam playing is not a really good source.
You can't hire conclusions about what's you've see if it's good or bad: you can just enumerate the numbers of things they've added or changed.

I see the word Esports okay, but when for the first time in 5 years they shows us vids of ML in a teaser/trailer... And nothing about Myclub, you can't say that they don't listen to us or don't care about the offline fanbase.

Guys, what do you think of the gameplays from the spanish stream? Adam did mentioned about AI cheating and player's positioning (gap between defense and attacking) which is interesting to me. Plus improving the shooting

Was there a stream in Spanish? I only watched the one in Portuguese. There are certainly more player collisions and there's an added physicality to the game.

"Acaba de demonstrar pq está em campo, gooolll" as a reference to Messi.

What a dumb line lmao

Of course Messi Will be on the field and not on the bench as he's the biggest name, idiot

the game that they played in the Portuguese stream showcased a lot of the good things in PES2020
The one in English was simply pathetic, seemed like they hated the game

Never have I seen such an underwhelming PES trailer. Not hyped or even interested at all. I have literally seen NOTHING new, really. Pardon my cynicism. Master League changes: we get a few photorealistic managers and are able to create sponsorship logo's?! Really? That's it? WHere's D2 for every league for instance? Training possibilities and real management (financially) options?

The part about the revamped transfer logic, well we all know what happened there last year. And the year before. And the one before that one...

Don't get me wrong, I'm buying this sooner or later just because it is PES. But there is literally NOTHING new here. Nothing.
Same. Except I won't be buying it, like last year. Throughout the years, I've went from no questions blind purchase always playing it, to habit purchase sometimes playing it, to habit purchase hardly/not playing it, to no purchase. Should tell you enough. Great progression there Konami.

To rub even more salt into our wounds, this thread should be renamed into "eFootball PES 2020 News Discussion Thread".
Might as well remove PES from the name and just call it eFootball from now on. Whatever. New game, new direction (been for years actually but looks like they're now shamelessly publicizing it).

Messi is the highest paid athlete. He earnt £99.8 million in the last 12 months according to bbc news!
Sorry - off topic.

Good point mate.
To be honest, I liked the pace of the game from what I saw yesterday. One thing I like is the better ball shielding system (FIFA did that 2 years ago). For other things, I'd rather get my hands on the game and then criticize/praise.

The portugese stream looked a bit better tbf. Not enough passing error still but if I'm being positive it could be down to the teams they are using.

Honestly it looks nice. But yet again not so sure. One thing I really liked was the crossing. It reminded me of PES 14 in a good way. I’m not sure about some of the animations tho, off the ball still needs working, I mean Pes 14 had a better off the ball animations, in fact revolutionary for the series compared to this one, as well as better running animations, but Pes 20 does have the dribbling and control looking much smoother, very slick, I need to play it to feel it tho. The ball physics looks really good. That I give a big thumbs up. Finally those kits needs to go, yuck.

They need to change camera angles during cut scenes and replays. They didn't even touch it. We need better presentation. Gameplaywise it will be a good game. It is first time since pes 6 that I can say at this time of the year that pes 2019 is still a good game and I play it (online). 2020 will be better. There will be simple but significant changes like from pes 5 to pes 6

OK.. after watching several times of gameplay videos i can say that ... it's clean that Konami are working more on Next-gen version of the game, or I really hope so because the presentation is really poor for 2020 game highlight too.

Now the gameplay ... looks a bit slower but it's hard to see in from low resolution and framerates streams. To mimic any serious differences from the previous games, they will totally mop the dribbling.

How I understand, now close control will be on Right stick and R2 will be .. sort of no-touch dribbling-feints witch is a stupid idea if you asking me because from 20 years R2 is close control. When I want my player to do precise first touch, the ball to be closer to his body I always use R2, now if you press R2, your player will jump around the ball. Even Rob in streams was having a hard time with this new " future ". I hear that they bring back " step over " on R2 too like was in PS2-PS3 era but again why they mess this thing? I don't know. Like I said before to inject the " " NEW " feeling in the game.

It's just Pes 18.0.3. nothing else. Im fully convinced of this, what with the addition of "efootball" blatantly acknowledging the direction they've been taking the past years. Cut and dry. Single player has gotten a small lick of Paint - just small, I see the menus and presentation are still as shit as ever - and a few values have been tweaked.

That's all I'm seeing ! Honestly. If there are going to be more or better features, they would've been advertised by now.

I like this presentation, but the Iniesta shirt folds

And you call them PES Legends?
Really, Konami? REALLY?!?!?

Where's Castolo? Where's Ruskin? Ivarov, Minanda...
And if we go back even a little more in time... No Pagani? Where are Allejo and Cicero? Kleimann? Where's Capitale? No van Riet either...
THOSE are your legends, Konami.

On the other hand, I'd love the other game to do the same.
Don't get me wrong, but being able to mow a couple of opponents down with Rudi Jantz (one of the best DMF's to ever grace a footie videogame) without resorting to a GameBoy emulator to play FIFA International Soccer would be more of a dream to me than using Pelé and Ronaldinho in FUT.

So I caught up with the whole 6 minutes of gameplay and all I can say is - dont judge it by that, lads.
Pes Legends Vs Barcelona on a crappy stream with video going into blur mode at every long ball. It looked shit, it played shit.

But you wont see any proper ball physics like that, you wont see much shot variety if all players are 85+ on finishing.

We have to wait for proper clips, full matches, against AI mostly. There is no point of us getting our knickers in a twist here. Adam didnt sleep whole previous night (he was tweeting every two hours saying it)
I think excitement turned into exhaustion.
Then they couldnt find a plug or something for 40 mins. I think at the end they really didnt want to do this stream.

I said it before and will say it again - i think 19 had a solid core gameplay and id rather if they polished/fixed this baseline, than changing whole game again and making a bollox out of it.

I'll be much more excited if I hear news about new features, rather than gameplay.
Gameplay is and always will be most important, but we cant go by what we see there, or what they say there. Its all over the shop in there at the moment.

Did they say any word about the database? If they fixed the problem with the old EDIT000000.bin?
For some crazy reason, i expect versatile flexible editable leagues, that will be modified as hand-held fans, adding and removing 2nd and 3rd or 4th divisions at will.Plus all rosters capacity expand to 50 max and 2nd goalkeeper kits. Maybe i sound a little bit futuristic?? :P
