It's a nitpick of mine but something that drives me mad because of OCD is the inconsistency with player portrait pictures. Looks at this.

Just looks like a mess, You have real photo's of varying expressions, different colour shirts and then, Ronaldinho & Iniesta's pics are CG?

I just wish they'd either make everyone's CG, in the same pose as Iniesta's, like they did in '17 and at least there's no bloody gray faces because it just rendered their edit mode for the pic, or just not bother at all? It would be far more cohesive.

Anyway, I', catching up on gameplay footage now but before i've seen anything yet, I just had to pause and screencap that because it's been a long standing bugbear of mine from an artistic & graphic design standpoint.

Assisted passing has been too easy for a whiiiiiiile now.
Zero assist passing has been the only way to play for many years.

It's not just the passing it's all the free space you have to pass and run (until you reach the box) and shoot. Shooting is to easy too. Almost every shot near the box hit the target.

Playing zero is fine against another human but against the AI it is not. They don't play zero at all and every team pass it like Barca. That is stupid frustrating shit. If i choose zero they should play zero too.

I never play zero assist against the AI, all the better to beat it's cheating ways with actual skill.

If somebody wants to watch gameplay cut from the boring talk but still with bad quality Konami's stream:

Agree, simplifying things are the way to improve this and many of the inconsistencies the game has.

Edit: Barcelona do have consistent player pictures though.

the presentation still looks lame vs the FIFA ..
they will never win if they don't really crate new game with this amount of investing...
the gameplay very similar to 19.
i wish they enter to option to crate leagues and b-c league for the current leagues
but its going be the same as pes 19
they could actually just make update to 19 and call it patch or DLC
:SHAKE:

So far so pretty meh to be honest. New cutscene in master league look promising but its just visuals.

Like the presentation, looking improved from last year.

Gameplay looks 90% the same as last year. which i'm very happy about, means they are doing subtle and small improvements and tweaks.

Its all about how the get the modes right for me.

I'm agree. The game has a really good base. They have to work on improve it and add more deeper mechanics.
The PC modders will be able to reduce or remove all the arcade stuff. Your tactic knowledge could be really usefull for them.:TU:

I liked the trailer.
Don't know what to say about the life stream.
Checked in for a couple of minutes and seen some gameplay footage.
A couple of new animations here and there.
That's all I saw to be honest.

I'm still having fun with my modded PES 2019, thx to the great modders out there!
Need to get hands on the demo and then I hope modders can put their hands on that one too.

Yeah! I've discovered recently how to activate inertia (the famous inertia that Bathi's talked about, is present in 2019 and tonned down to zero ), reduce the collisions power and the tackle accuracy. Look at the gameplay editing topic. It's totally game-changing.

Two things are a shambles today: the state of that live stream, and the state of this thread.

The pessimism is leaking through every page here. After watching the trailer, reading the gameplay info from the site, and watching a little bit of gameplay, my hype level is probably around a 6/10. Really can't see much – good or bad – on the basis of what's been shown so far. Really think people need to hold their horses before slating it to high heaven.

As for that stream... :BRICK:

Adam is often full of hype, but this time he just came across as really tired and uninspiring. Even Robby wasn't that amped. Instead, they'd artificially gas anything that happened on pitch. It's not fooling anyone... ridiculous! They barely answered any questions on gameplay, the stream started late, finished midway through a game, included a horrendous amount of waffle, and had depressing "seriously guys, the game is better than it looks right now" claims from Adam.

:FAIL:

That said, I like the new camera angle, I like the slower pace, and I'm intrigued to see if the changes to dribbling/tricks, and kicking accuracy make a big difference. I thought R2 close control was an absolute car crash on 2019, so if it's more responsive and doesn't set off lengthy animations, I'll be happy with that. The best part of the chat tonight was when Adam explained the delicate balance between realism and responsiveness. I hope after some sleep, the future broadcasts and interviews involve technical explanations instead of tired and tiring superlatives.

Improved Manager Models - While its nice to see graphical improvements and the more customisation the better, I don't think fans are that fussed about having a 3d version of themselves as a manager, if the 3D scanning technology is really good I hope they have added this for Player customisation.
About this, reading well in official PES site, I though that they could mean that introduced new 3D bases for face in-game editor and not the face scanner. Is this possible?

On the plus side, I am excited about the chances of getting the new Myclub legends Cristiano Trussardi, Robert Schinner, Vito Biggs plus Paulo Carpintero and the greatest striker of all, Joel Ballada!

I don't expect it to be a representation of the PES values and standing on the pillars of the series, all i care is that they properly implement the online modes and filters and such, and then one can have some fun playing this online even with all the negatives, but last time I bought it (2018) they didn't even managed that, for example the coop there was no setting to filter out the play vs single players.

On PC, especially with a bought key, its not a big deal, 20-30 bucks is worth hunders of hours, even if the gameplay itself is maybe only around 3/5, but they need to get the details right, but I gave up on that as well.

Spot on! Don't forget Javier/Jose Zarandona!!! :P

Not saying Fifa is better but at least they have a professional look to there menu and portraits. This here is sloppy work, fast Internet portraits with no care to make it uniform.

People wants PES to be another game. Too much negativity, way too much exageration. They're playing Legends vs Barcelona, on Exhibition match.

You want new experience, wait Cyberpunk PES 2077 and gtfo of the football games scene a little bit, or create a new one by yourselve. I don't post anymore in this thread since 2 years, 80-90% are here for bag-punching. Too much exageration in the negative terms, is that PES or this forum have became a parody?

I'm more on the same way as chiefrocka4real, Klashman, Janguv, and Matt10 on twitter.

Do you really thinked, that in this generation of console, this would be a total different game? About all the time, haven't you understanded how does a yearly game system works?
Have you thinked about how much demanding it should have for having a mix between FM and a classic football game?
Btw, do you have seen any kind of REAL infos about ML? No.

No, seriously that's a bit why it's been two years the main reason i avoid this section.
It's WENB 2.0 now, full of little sarcasm and childish posts here and there that's been really makes my eyes hurts.

Back to Fifa 12 for me.

I didn't see anywhere that Fifa 12 was the best Fifa, it's a real question but why this one? Tactical defending was "under construction" full of bugs and every finesse shots > goals. Worst Fifa to me, but not the worst game (for me, it's PES 16)

Pes 2013 is in my personnal opinion not bad, but very, very overrated here: no weight, no physicality or inertia, and this one have really 16 directions. If i've got to choose, it should be PES 2011 for this "PS2.5 generation" of game.
I'm perhaps an alien prefers xx times PES 2017 19, even PES 2014. Well i've replayed 2015 and 2018 but no, way too much.

People here seems to have the the same "ideals" when it cames to bashing PES, but want to replay games with much more issues and far less balanced than PES 2017 or 19, overally, and saying thing with no proof (like the 8 directionnal thing: i've proved the contrary... almost 5 years ago, on PES 2015)

Sorry if my post is a little harsh, but it's too much, more "toomuchy" than every Adam or officialpes tweets combinated. I'm too old for this shit.
I shall stay in the edit section than posting my troughts i think.

The thread we're commenting in has had its name changed to reflect the new branding direction this series is going in... Sad times!

The "eFootball" logo is even used as the transition between replays and game footage. Ugh.

If somebody wants to watch gameplay cut from the boring talk but still with bad quality Konami's stream:

It's nice to see outside of the boot shots (and passes) are back, but I really dislike how a virtually one footed player like Maradona has more touches with his right foot than with his left one.

I just watched the gameplay stream and the animation improvement are very noticeable, it actually looks good, i want the demo to see how it plays. I think this year more work has been done than last year.

To me Fifa 16 is the best Fifa, and the PC version with gameplay mods makes it perhaps the best Football game ever.

Fifa 12 is the second best Fifa to me. Sure it's not perfect, but it's a hell more of Football game than any PES in the 2015–2019 range. Coming from a PES background, I have always been a legacy defending player.

The best PES from this generation is 2014, of course it had it's particular "charm and controversy", but it had the best foundation any PES has ever had.

PES 2013 is the PES 6 of it's generation, fun to play and overrated. PES 2012 was a better game than 2013 and even 2011 in many aspects.

Gotta back vialli a little bit here, but don't wanna be as harsh as him :p.
I didn't expect to see something totally new, something totally different.
I'm glad there is no new engine as we all know what a tragedy PES 2014 was.
Such a good base but so unfinished.

The cut scenes are fine and I hope for some nice ML improvements.
As I already posted, some nice animations, nice physics.
The thing is, I don't like watching those guys playing. The way they play and that assisted stuff.... I'm able to enjoy this with full manual setting only.

So well, didn't expect something groundbreaking, but I also understand people who wanna see sensations at the very first glance.
We have to be patient as always.
Seen some good and not so good stuff so far.

Well, we don't have the same tastes at all, except for PES 2014. PES 2012 too, you're the first person i read that it's the best of the 3.
Fifa 12 is for me, in terms of balance not even close to PES 2014, 17, 2019... But i won't say that like if there's an absolute truth, but i've got a very bad experience about this game.

About Fifa 16 too as i've scored so many ressembling goals at this game and really disliked the hybrid Ignite engine, well i'm not a big fan of slidering, i've tried and it makes every "retouch" lookings a bit weird, and never tried it on PC.
So "vanilla" it's not the best Fifa for me, i'll stay with Fifa 11 and 14.

For me, the engine and ATT/DEF balance is the more important, but when a game have something unrealistic that works everytimes, i quit.

Gotta back vialli a little bit here, but don't wanna be as harsh as him :p.

Don't, never
Stay as you are mate, sane.
