Spoony and the PES Uni people can’t make money from eFootball via option files and other Konami sponsored schemes so they’re just being honest now which is refreshing to be honest.

The PES community, in general, absolutely hates eFootball.

I give it until Xmas, maybe next summer at a stretch - before Konami pull the plug completely.

Ball physics like Chris explained with way better words than i did but just wanted to explain exactly the same (hard in english to me), that's the biggest problem of that game. The rest could be balanced/re-balanced.
That one seems a bigger problem as it's linked to the core.

-On PES Fox the issue wasn't the weight transfers and all, personally i didn't felt that much that it was a problem : but the lack of variety in ball movement : the ball too straight.
Also i don't agree about PES 2013 comparison, perhaps 2011 and PES 3 to 6 but not that one. The ball feels also weightless aswell as the players. No feeling of power at all.

Oh I agree with you he's not a reference if you meant in the sense his words aren't gold (even tho we could say the same from people blindly praising the game and mantling themselves of some higher knowledge.. NOT DIRECTED AT YOU, to be clear.) I didn't want to take something deep from his words, was just surprised to hear him talk like this since last times I heard him he was an ultras without borders. But now that Mikhail explained above, the turn seems logical.

Just putting 2 and 2 together :)

Spoony and co. Had option files to
Promote with PES 2020, 2021 etc which is why they never said “Yeah, these games are pretty bad in reality but hey, want to give us £10 for our option files? Please and thanks”.)

This obviously isn’t an option with eFootball. No master league, no edit mode. So that fella with the 70s style commentary (True Brit?), Spoony etc are just like “Yeah, eFootball is bad” as they have nothing to lose now.
 
Coinami sees these PES YouTubers as a reference whether we like it or not. I'm not suggesting they should be, but I'm getting tired of people acting as if they are the oracle or something. Some of those commenting underneath spoony's video were praising this game and this recent update. It's like people can't say their true feelings about this game without knowing what their favorite YouTuber thinks.

I agree except i don't think they will give up the game on Winter. Profits seems good for them, they could keep it for a year or two.

Also, they're stubborn. Jap mentality to never give up etc., : see the 0.9.0 etc and now.
We're not in Samurai era so now they got to cancel thing (so give up haha), but it's too soon since 1.00.
But online, from what i saw : it looks like a different game, like FUT was in a certain moment even in FIFA golden era (less since some years)

Plus, in Konami's "Efootball production" department or whatever it's called, are in their own world.
Popularity from older PES lover, the "old crowd", they don't seems to care. They perhaps read some feedbacks, that's all. Remember what Robbie Ron said about "It's not PES anymore" and all shit. In the game, it's still a beta / prototype like Marlon Anthony said, but still like a PES at 90%.

Personally, i hate the system with all my hearth. And on the pitch, i hate ball physics.
Those two could be resolved... I ain't sure about ball physics, but i see small improvement in ball behavior, i test every 2 or 3 versions and see some changes.
Small, but it's advancing a bit. Too slow, that's the problem.

Spoony's taste and some stuffs he "wanted to change" (like defence) even from older PES, i didn't agreed with what he said. Was on twitter or whatever because i don't watch that much youtubers explaining every part of the game and why etc.
Just want to have fun and i see myself with my own taste what's wrong, and there's too much things i don't care, too much absolute thruth statement after one vid showing one action... Not for me.
 
Didn't he's subscribed since some time and posted here? Not so long ago, well, during the Efootball waiting for 1.0.0.

It was someone which was bashed from every side 10 pages ago, and posted like nothing happened, members (some) received him like if he was a good reference etc. 🤣
I don't talk about Asim of course, it was more explosive i remember that part pretty well haha.

Knight wasn't badly received at all, not him in any cost. I really remember it was him (or it was a dream... Dreamin of a forum post, what a pitiful life i got)
 
From what i've seen from youtube especially most people are sheep and just go with the flow. It's psychology of the herd. When the creator of the video praises the game then there are tons of comments who agree and praise too. When he bashes the game then it's the opposite, all of a sudden the game is shit and they're uninstalling it in anger lol. It's like they don't have their own opinions. I bet you anything that with the exact same patch a creator can make a video that has a positive vibe and you'll see people praising it and in the same time he can make another video bashing it and then they'll say it's shit.

The main problem with the new patch seems to be the unresponsiveness and the op defending as they say..I agree about the unresponsiveness because i also play online and the lag is often a big problem. Most users seem to play from their shitty wifi while their moms watching netflix so even if you have a decent cable connection yourself you'll still get a shitty laggy match because of your opponent. And when there is much lag then indeed the game becomes a shitfest..Unaware drunk players who don't know where they are, very heavy controls etc.. When there is no lag and everything works like it's supposed to then it's a different game. And you can see it from offline that in reality it become a bit more responsive and quicker than before. But the lag in online can give a different picture..

About the defending part..it's clear that the awareness is better now and because they toned down the inertia a bit they can react better and quicker. For example i have De Ligt in my team and before he could feel like a League 2 defender sometimes, bad awareness of the play and too heavy to react and control him. Now he actually feels like a world class defender should feel, he reads the play better and reacts to it and feels better to control..
So yeah scoring and beating defenders seems to be more challenging now..and i get the frustration of trying to do this with lag involved..but without the lag factor i think that this is something that had to be done because the awareness and reaction times just weren't on point before.

Amen. It's totally that, "followers" is to take on the first degree.

From my personal taste, i don't get issue with defence, a bit hard with "R1", i would like to replace it with square for "teamate help". But well, i can deal with it.
And it's all about what we repeat on every post and not because someone said it and i "saw" that he was right (wasn't at all following all people saying on the thread about the game, i just follow news that's all. If we start to play for others people... Like a teenager, who play or follow because his friends does the same : normal at that age. Not at 35-45) : well back to the issue > it's alll about ball physics which is complety blocking me to play further.

Especially regarding rythm (i could even say that variety of trajectory is okay to me) i hope that the ball could be "algorithmed" and not sealed forever in the engine limitations.
I won't lie : even with F2P shit and all, it could be for me the only hope for a football game which fits to my expectations, offline. But i don't got hope or waiting for it. Just my 2 cents, because his opponent his totally hopeless and dead for good, to me.

Without talking about the beta-ish feels as you can see there's stuffs which waiting to be added. Just the game, offline played. What i feel about it, what i like and what i don't.

I also dont mind the defending in efootball. I learn that i cant always use the match up command. I will place my player on the passing lane then i will use match up when i am confident that i can intercept the ball because the animations can be a bit exaggerating. Left stick, sprint and match up are key for me. Once i find the rythm, i can defend well.
And sometimes i use the 'teammate help' command too but it will drain the stamina fast.

Edit: And i like that the A.I help to defend as well

To be fair i personally don't think that the ball physics are so much horrible like some of you here think to the point where it would stop me from playing the game. Yes of course it could be better and they still feel rigid at times but i like the general feel of passing the ball around. I get it that it feels like a beachball with some underhit passes but with most passes if you put enough amount of power it feels good enough. After the update the passing is a bit faster and the ball has a bit more zip to it so it feels better than before. And there is also the stunning button if you want to play a quicker and stronger pass. Also i feel the difference between players even in pass level 1. If i pass with Lewa or Haaland who are not the best passers it feels slower and not so accurate but if i pass with Modric or Kimmich even with the same amount of power the pass is stronger and much more accurate.

About shooting i would like more animations and variety but i can still enjoy it. You don't see many rising or dipping shots because they're not contextual anymore and you have to trigger them manually with the stunning shot and the correct amount of power so it's more difficult to do but i like the feel of hitting the ball with a stunning shot and it's a good addition. The animation also plays a role of how nice a shot will look. For example i don't like much how the finesse shot looks if you do it with an average player with no traits but if you do it with players like Lewa, Messi or Neymar it triggers a beautiful animation and looks very realistic like how they shoot with finesse in real life. Also there are more scrappy shots both from your players and the AI where you see the ball gets many meters above the bar or to the side of it and it adds more variety, when in previous few years in PES the shots were almost too perfect and the ball just went centimeters from the bar, it was very rare to see a real scrappy shot.

And it always felt to me that if you play in a beautiful pitch with a good looking ball then everything just feels more beautiful and realistic even the passes and shots look better. For example i never play with that fake eFootball ball cause it looks like shit. I choose the Select Brillant Super UZ ball which is a real ball and it has nice black/pink/red details with a beautiful design and looks very nice in game. Even that detail can make it look better when you see the ball roll on the pitch. And i have Arsenal as my team so i play at Emirates which has a nice looking colourful pitch and the whole match just looks and feels better if you add all these details together. Also i play on ps5..i know people are saying that on pc or ps4 there are issues visually and with performance but on ps5 it's a beauty and no problems with performance or anything and all the replays and cutscenes are 60 fps.

I play at Emirates and if i choose summer then the match starts at day with sunny weather and then goes to night in the second half. Also some players wearing different accessories in winter like long sleeves and undershorts.
 
Still having fun although the auto defending is too much now, making dribbling as hard as in PES 21. A lot of people in here would love the game right now cause the match to match gameplay is nearly the same as PES21 now.

Still making it Top30 every season in division with no-meta formations and no-meta players. Currently playing Long Ball 3-6-1 with 2 Cross Specialists playing mostly over the wings and crossing it to Calvert-Lewin or Giroud. Also low lofted through balls from one wing to the other are back because defenders' backline is now correctly shifting to the side of the pitch where the attack is coming from.

Yes. Some of them were even boosting the stats of their players using said cheats. Cheaters would have been a non+issue had Coinami instituted an anti-cheat system for this game like some online and multiplayer games do.

It feels OP. Your playstyle, tactics, even slight mid class attackers with good dribbling or good passing only dont mean much now. Online or offline you cant dribble at any defender now, you cant pass around any team. Game is just clunky and wonky with huge tackles which should be fouls and stupid target lockings during passes and of course slow ass passes and might fast defenders.

NOBODY asked for these changes. But its Konami. Their sole purpose to destroy potentially the best footy gameplay ever. What else would be? :D
 
I don't have that easy to defend in comparison to others PES so 😅
It's probably /from my own perspective/ a matter of commands change and the teamate pressure is less direct and easy to handle.

But if you said it, as you got more XP than me, i thrust you/as you probably tried it.
Didn't got hard to pass through defender online with R2 Dribbling stop'n'go, it's more a feeling than a conclusion mate.

... Then you're pehraps just too shitty to dribble so passing an opponent... :JAY: (joke inside)
